  • Thank you for addressing this long-festering issue, which is still coming back to haunt us in the present day via Qanon and other conspiracy theories. This misguided notion of widespread Satanism, particularly the myth of "Satanic Ritual Abuse," is one of the dumbest lies that my generation grew up with in the 80s, right up there with oat bran and the POW-MIA myth. This lunacy is so multifaceted that it could easily make for a multi-part episode. For while you did well to cover as much as you did (e.g. the D&D hysteria, "backwards messaging," the McMartin case, etc.), there's still more to cover: the influence of the fraudulent book "Michelle Remembers," the activism fo discgraced FBI man Ted Gunderson, and the backlash to this phenomenon in the 90s with the book "Satanic Panic." I encourage everyone here to read more about all of this.

    • Ritual abuse is no myth. There may be false allegations but theres also Utah ritualistic abuse case going on right now with arrest of David Hamblin. In the past we have seen Ripper Crew - bunch of serial killers with ritual elements, interestingly certain serial killer once hired a leader of this crew. There were also similar aspects discovered within Dutroux investigation in Belgium.

  • Everytime I hear about the WM3 im mad because those kids really did brutally murder those little boys but advocates for them conveniently leave out facts like Jesse Misskelly giving facts during his testimony about the case had things confirmed like throwing a specific type of liquor bottle and it being found in that exact spot. Damien echols also mentioned facts that werent yet released to the public. Damien also had a necklace with one of the victims blood on it. All of that is conveniently left out. The mcmartin preschool thing...kids are creative but no so creative they can describe a satanic ritual in detail without ever having seen one. Those kids really were abused. Now that being said I look a little goth. Men often tell me I look like Elvira. I listen pretty much exclusively to heavy metal like Born of Osiris, Veil of Maya, Oceano etc. I have dabbled in witchcraft. I actually know real magic and sigil magic like Damien uses. My sister is an actual Satanist, wears Satanic symbols every day so Im not just biased. I know all of the facts in these cases and the WM3 is guilty as sin and the kids at McMartin preschool arent lying about their abuse and its sick to say so.

    • You clearly don't grasp the actual concept of Satanism and Satan. Satan is an evil being who only wants to cause harm. True Satanism, and not what Atheists claim it is (it was not created by Anton LaVey, he just stole the name to offend religious people) is absolutely an evil religion. Satan is not a good being and no good person would worship him. P.S. I am an agnostic, so, no, I don't say that as a religious person. I just actually research things and know Satanism existed long before Atheists claimed the title.
