There’s actually an official comic that takes place after Kong: Skull Island, called Skull Island: The Birth of Kong. In the comic, a flashback reveals Kong’s backstory. The Kong ape species have been fighting the Skull Crawlers for years before Monarch would’ve had the opportunity to make their own monsters. His parents, along with all the other Kongs, were killed by the Skull Crawlers. And Kong hated the Skull Crawlers ever since. AND during the end credits of the 2019 film Godzilla: King of the Monsters, a cave painting is shown, which depicts a Kong like ape fighting what seems to be Godzilla.

But the reason they still pop up is because it's incredibly fun to try to put together pieces to see if they'll fit and it is incredibly satisfying if you succeed in making a big picture out of those mismatched pieces even if you end up wrong in the end.

I’ve always been familiar with king Kong’s backstory and it’s really really sad even before I watch this video which I’m now watching. I really feel bad for kong 😢
Would be cool to see a tv show about hank Marlow when he first got stuck on skull island leading up to the 28 years he spent there, it would further explore the island and the inhabitants who don’t speak much lol. Even add a twist where we find out the cast of skull island 2017 weren’t the first people he’s seen from the outside in all those years even tho he says they were

That being said, the point about the ship does make me think that the Kongs were taken from SOMEWHERE. After all, those paintings couldn't have been made by the islanders, they have no knowledge on Godzilla and the art is different from what they paint.
In the new Godzilla movie there is a newspaper at the end credits that says monarch is creating a “mechanized” monster and organic monsters of their own, so either that’s full on fan service for this theory or it was a “yeah, Mat Pat was right, now just to prove”

If it didn't account for the Kong Comic prequel - Kong was born on Skull Island, and the Kong species lived on that Island presumably the same amount of time as the Godzilla species, and all died in their war confrontation with the Skullcrawlers. The Kong in the painting in Godzilla: King of the Monsters isn't the same Kong from Skull Island, its a predecessor.

Yeah, unless they were products of the genetic experiments too, but given the timeline, for them to survive into adulthood they'd have to be there at least 40 or more years prior to the 1973 expedition (Kong won't be fully matured until sometime after 1973, cause he's gotta grow more in order to be on Godzillas level by 2020) and that means they'd have to have been genetically engineered sometime in the 20s or 30s...

Not to mention if you saw Godzilla versus Mecha Godzilla II, Rodan gave Godzilla his life force, making him stronger and before that Godzilla took the power of a nuclear submarine making him way stronger. All of the power went to him and made him go into meltdown mode, possibly the strongest Godzilla yet. So I believe Godzilla’s thermonuclear mode is just a phase before meltdown mode, and it makes sense both of them released massive amounts of heat because they had so much power, so if Godzilla gets anymore power he will for sure be going into meltdown mode. *SORRY FOR MAKING YOU READ THIS*

Kong was actually born on skull island during combat-skull island was being invaded by giant lizards from the underworld..literally skull crawlers invaded skull island and Kong’s species kept fighting but they all died and while longs den was being invaded his dad and his mom were fighting to protect their den then Kong’s mom went into labour and gave birth to king mid combat kings mom out Kong buried in a few rocks and Kong’s parents were killed as soon as kong was born-and so was his species and kong grew up without parents all alone with these giant lizards that are able to eat him and that’s why one day a giant monkey started beating up giant lizards one day

Just an update for you lot still believing this. The monsterverse debunked this already. Not only has it been implied heavily about Kong's parents but the comic "The Birth Of Kong" gave us visuals on when exactly he was born and how. He was born into war. His parents died soon after his birth. This left more gamma and solar radiation for him to take in. His dad was 185ft tall. Kong will be around 350ft tall. This is thanks to how kaijus are enhanced by radiation. His genetics and the plenty of radiation is allowing him to be the biggest of his species. The hollow earth was later confirmed in Kotm that the hollow earth was actually used by other titans. In fact, there will be a scene in Godzilla vs Kong where Monarch enters the hollow earth and finds more titans. The "venture" is merely a ship that washed up on the island, a nod to the original. It's never reappeared in the monsterverse or even been talked about. We were told in the first 10 minutes of the film that many ships went missing on skull island.

It's possible that they did that, but I doubt it. They were called his parents in the movie wich would mean they were much bigger than Kong would have been. I suppose they could have made two originally and added Kong later, but that doesn't make much sense

The reason King Kong beat GODzilla was due to a variety of reasons. For one, they equalized strength and size, as well as giving kong the ability to charge and generate electricity. As well as that Godzilla is probably not as strong as the more recent ones. This kong and that kong were two entirely different creatures, the same applies to Godzilla. In this instance, Godzilla has every possible advantage over kong, and kong does not have the same powers and abilities of the kong that beat Godzilla

That still wouldn't quite work. The only burrowing dinosaurs we know of that the study referenced were small herbivores about the size of a small dog, so unless you want to posit all possible Cenozoic non-avian dinosaurs as a bunch of small ornithischian offshoots (which would actually be a pretty entertaining spec evo idea) the idea's not all that feasible.

Wait if What you said King Kong was created to defeat The Kaiju like Godzilla but as we see in The 2014 Godzilla Movie. Godzilla technically saved the city and when he awoke in the morning near the end of the movie he didn't go kill or outrage he simply swam away. Plus this is all in the same universe. I dont get it
