    • He's talking about something that has some truth & making huge leaps unfortunately. I agree with most of Yanis' positions. But his reasoning of why there is "a new cold war" has HUGE holes & conveniently frames things/cherry picks to make his argument work. Just bc China always wanted Taiwan, isnt some definitive predictor of the future, China didnt say by X date our military must be ready to take Taiwan, as they do now. China didnt have the capacity to do so. And just bc your not selling something to a country, doesnt make it "economic warfare". US wont sell nukes to Germany, is that warfare? All countries have economic interests. High end microchips & the machines that make sub 10nm microchips are sensitive technology, which can and are used for military weapons... and btw, ONLY the Netherlands produces these machines, is Netherlands waging war on the US? China is well known for stealing & reverse engineering technology. He also ignores that EVEN BEFORE TRUMP China started being aggressive & doing illegal things. Such as declaring the ENTIRE Red Sea its territory, building islands in international waters for military bases, & attacking other states shipping like the Phillipines & Vietnam. Ignoring stuff like that makes his commentary on that topic less authoritative.

    • Yes but he doesn't understand that Jews themselves also had a hand in anti-semitism of the Pogroms etc.. in many Slavic lands the aristocracy left their liquor distilleries and other functions in the hands of the Jews. When grain was prioritized for liquor vs bread in times of famine or when Slavic peasants found themselves in overwhelming debt to the Jews they often resorted to Pogroms. It isn't a simple story of just one kind of bad guy, the European.. You have an uncaring out of touch aristocracy, you have a group that took advantage of their capabilities at administration or their lack of proscription against usury that Christians faced and exploited others for gain and you have the vice filled Slavic peasants that drowned their troubles with alcohol instead of organizing and helping each other. Don't blame European Christians for all of the problems. It's multifactorial including some blame going to a class of Jews as well.Even among Jews the leaders of Kehilla oppressed the average Jew.

So for Gaza ethnic cleansing are responsible not Jews, not Europeans, but antient Egyptians actually. And Adam and Eve then. Very interesting.
