Cracking Down On Drug Smugglers And Suspicious Passengers | Best Of Customs | Real Responders

At airports in England, customs agents check suspicious baggages and odd travellers to prevent illicit activity and substances from entering the UK. Officers pick out nervous passengers, and believing them to be drug mules, scan them for drugs. Sniffer dogs pick out illegal packages.

  • Not only would i be too afraid to take the risk of smuggling drugs internally, there's no way i could physically swallow them. I've seen the size of some of those packages and i can't imagine trying to get one down. And of course if i did, I'd be terrified of them leaking into my system. The people that swallow the drugs get paid a relatively small amount of money for huge risk of getting caught or even dying. Drug dealers prey upon the desperate.

    • The biggest reason is force. Cartels and gangs kidnap pregnant women and young girls to internally mule drugs because they are less likely to get stopped. There's a recent documentary on this and the terrifying reality of it. During the filming, a pregnant woman and her unborn baby die due to one of the packages she swallowed bursting. The drug world is a nightmare only shown in tiny segments to rhe real world... same as trafficking. The main problem the world needs to be combating immediately and not distracted like sheep we're being

  • I’m starting to see a pattern with the ones that end up being caught w illegal goods, they all put on this aggressive and insulting front as if that will make them look less guilty or it will intimidate the officers to not even bother investigating them any further. In reality they are making themselves look super suspicious and it makes them investigate that much further! Such a silly tactic!

  • 1:20:32 This is the same attitude that I have. I’ve traveled a lot and I have been pulled aside for extra screening. When I was really young, about 8 years old, I startled one XRay screener. I had a small cement lawn ornament in my backpack. It was a bunny that I had painted and was bringing to my grandma as a gift. He started laughing when he found it, and showed it to my parents and then the other officers.

    • While I do respect these guys for the job they do trying to stop illegal stuff and stopping dodgy people and they do a darn good job But in the flip side I have had a few issues in my travels being told to unlock my phone so they can inspect it ( I refuse ) but the one incident I had was when I was heading abroad for a month as I was looking to settle abroad was when I got pulled because I was carrying a wedge if cash this was back in 2008 I was carrying £3,000 as it was cheaper to convert it to currency in the country I was going to rather than using ATM with high withdrawal fees but this guy was dictating to me to explain the money where it comes from what is it for I just told the guy it's none of his business I don't have to explain anything and that the burden to prove it's dodgy was on him I was 5 hours ahead of my scheduled flight so I had no problem dragging the situation out eventually they gave up I guess they did whatever checks they needed to do and that was the end of it but yes I could have proven the cash was legit straight away had the bank statement on me I'm that kind of person who is fed up with having to dance to other people's tune proving this and that When I got to the other end had absolutely no problems my amount of cash was almost below the maximum before having to declare it and when going through immigration was straight out the door no hassle at all After my trip came back and then 4 months later got another flight to never return to UK and been living abroad since but that experience dealing with a wedge kf cash made me realise it's better to use services like western union and PayPal i got a friend to process a 2k western union transfer under my name so when I arrived other end I can collect it and then just used PayPal after just direct debit from my bank account to Paypal and then in this country use a money remittance service like western union or MoneyGram pay using PayPal job done I finally got my bank to allow inline wire transfers so I can process larger sums of money using swift to my bank account here Moral of the story my money was legit I don't see why I have to prove anything if they have suspicion then the burden to prove otherwise should be in them And to be fair now I don't see why anyone carries a large sum kf money overseas use electronic means I learned that for me taking cash was a way to avoid the hefty fees using my arm card overseas as withdrawal fees for foreign accounts is like £5 a pop and that's before my bank at home takes their fees greedy f**kers
