  • I love Daniil's interviews and press conferences because he always tells you what he's experiencing and what's in his mind. In doing so, it allows the viewers to almost envision for themselves what it's like to be a tennis athlete for themselves and what it feels like, how to prepare, etc. And he can do it with comedic relief too which adds entertainment in the honesty. It's so insightful and it gets you captivated. He tells you stories of his journies in each of his answers. It's mindblowing.

  • I hoped, that this year WTA/ATP/ITF, would stop this nonsense of mixing sport with politics. Every player should have right to play under her/his country's flag. One cannot choose the country of one's birth. Appointing "flag police" at the AO 2023 was not even childish... it was embarrassing and insane... Wars are run by politicians not sportsmen/sportswomen. Why during the invasion of Iraq, 20 year bombing of Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen and Pakistan not to mention the genocidal Vietnam war US, Australian, UK... athletes were allowed to compete under their national flag? USA invaded Iraq in 2003 and yet their flag was still allowed at the World Cup 2006 in Germany and 2010 in South Africa despite the fact they were still in Iraq. Either ban ALL flags of countries who go to war, or don't ban any of them. Interestingly enough Israeli tennis players Mika Buchnik and Guy Sasson are allowed to play under the national flag in AO 2024 despite the policy of their government towards Palestinians in Gaza. *** All wars are equal, but some wars are more equal than others.

  • It's time for players themselves start questioning why some of them are able to easily play 5-setters and don't get tired. I mean, there's a logical explanation to "superhuman stamina and strenght" just a selected few of them possess and why they made these courts and balls suitable for players who, what a coincidence, have that "stamina and strenght" in them.

    @user-ll7eb9yd5d@user-ll7eb9yd5d3 ай бұрын
    • Everyone is tired. Some grew up in a hot climate and tolerate the Australian heat well, like Carlitos, while others, like Nole or Meddie, melt in the heat and get tired quickly.

      @firegirl24@firegirl243 ай бұрын
    • These are 2 different things. I'm absolutely convinced Tennis is rigged with doping. Djokovic, Nadal ... have displayed that "superhuman stamina", looking just as fine after the match as before. Of course they are super sportsmen but there's little doubt in my mind they don't take any chances and scratching the surface of what's possible. Both of them have a track record of bizarre breaks with vague diagnoses. Now concerning the courts and balls, this is a trend that started in the 90s when the game became dominated by servers and became boring. We're long past that. The game could use a reverse trend towards faster courts.

      @knotwilg3596@knotwilg35963 ай бұрын
    • @@firegirl24 I suggest you re-listening the interview so you won't be humilated by pointing that a) not everyone is tired, b) Meddy grew up in similar climate as Hubi, yet there's difference, c) "Carlitos" got cramps under extreme heat, while growing up under heat. So just stop it. Everyone knows that there are PED and everyone knows that some playrs are allowed and some aren't.

      @user-ll7eb9yd5d@user-ll7eb9yd5d3 ай бұрын
    • @@knotwilg3596 seems you haven't watch Djokovic matches. He literally never looks just fine after the match. Vague diagnoses - that's exclusively Rafa's thing. "Never injured when winning, always injured while losing" As to balls - it's not only a speed question. Last year they had a record amount of injured players due to those balls and court speeds. Everyone gets that they want Nadal 2.0 to play those boring endless rallies, but while they are hyping this youngster up, they ruin the sport in a long run.

How do you feel IT coming on. The difference in you was so profound. For those who don't know this place look at the trailer of Ford vs. Ferrari - "Out there is the perfect lap , , ,can you see (feel IT.) Most people can't.
