I'd make a fair wager that in some cases a doggo is one's biggest fan. IDK, don't have a dog. But if Gabriel Iglesias is to be believed, his dog wets itself because it's so excited to see him when he comes home from work. Do you wet yourself because you came home from work? Get yourself someone that's so excited your there that they'll wet themselves when you get back from work. Cause it's all good talk saying "be yer own supporter" but humans (What I presume is the intended audience.) are group animals. So without good and healthy relationships, such things become less then even the faintest of impossibilities (Which is why lonely people talk to themselves a lot more then normal, it keeps them healthy.).
the thing is that, idk what im good at.... i just sit in my room all day, watching yt, studying, talking to my friends and playing minecraft. so glad you enjoyed the video. finding something to be good at is the hardest part of the journey, you have to find something, and then you have to reallyyyyyy want it. even if you try 99% it wont work unless you can put in 100% i promise you. it took me more than 20 years to find my passions, heck i just turned 25 and even now im still not sure if im on the right path or not haha
I think it's better to look for what you like, not what you are good at. If you find out you like guitar, chance is, you're probably not going to be good at it. You have to put in a lot of work. You wont be good at most things in life from the start, so you need to put in effort to become good. Don't give up just because you aren't decent at it in the beginning. I don't know if you think in a self-destructive way, but if you do, just keep in mind what I wrote.

I'd say it's kinda hit or miss, there's twelve song so your bound to like one of them, and this album probably the most unique one yet, but "creator" and "precipice" are the best.

This is so beautiful. This is a message I think a lot of people need to hear. I keep telling people that what they call talent is the culmination of putting the time into something you have a passion for. It isn't natural aptitude, though you may have some natural abilities that make some things easier for you to do, but that alone won't make you stand out. What makes you stand out from the crowd is the hard work you put in. You get out what you put in, but it isn't immediate. It takes patience, perseverance and curiosity. And day by day, what you want to get good at gets easier to do, you figure out your best mental place to be, your best approach. And then, one day, someone says to you "I feel so average when you do what you do, I could never do that." And your responsibility, as someone who has put the time in, is to encourage them, to tell them it took a lot of work to make things look easy.

I always thought that i am average, maybe not even that. All it took was my classmate to tel me that i am so interesting person, because of my hobbies. (i wrote a book, i like to cook, i made videos on YT, i play guitar for a decade, also piano and i like to sing, trying to be succesfull in investing). And then it hit me, i was like "Damn, maybe i really am above average." I still dont believe it, but when i remember what she told me, it makes me fell better about myself. And this video reminded me of her words, thank you :)

damn. that's actually really inspirational. personally, i've almost always been anything but average but that was mostly how i was raised, but recently, getting closer every year to adulthood, i've been working to improve myself before i have to go out on my own in the world. for instance, i've been really getting into programming. mostly minecraft mods. at this point in time, on curseforge, i have 73.6k total downloads. i have been saving money and wanting to find some kind of employment to actually earn some good money, and then i'm gonna, well, probably buy a better pc first, but then im gonna get an electric guitar and start learning that and try my luck at assorted metal genres.

I'm sort of in a similar but slightly different situation to what you mentioned at the start. I've always been the 'gifted kid', had the highest marks etc., but whenever it came to art or sport or something outside academia that I might enjoy, I never really tried despite being told I had 'natural talent'. It mainly came from a lack of motivation but also the pressure and expectations of others to be perfect that I felt like I could never live up to. I think it's only now that I'm not doing things to meet others' expectations and am instead practising because I really want to be good at them (digital art, my guitar etc.) that I'm able to be more than average. motivation is the key to a lot of things, but its really mostly about discipline. there were tons of day that i didnt want to study music, i felt unmotivated to do so, but because i was disciplined i forced myself to continue to improve.
This video relates to me a lot. For my whole life I've struggled to keep up with others, always trying new things when I felt behind in any subject. But the real solution was just to try my hardest on the 1-2 things I liked the most and until I eventually became experienced enough in those things that I liked to feel confident in my abilities. It took me years to finally find something I truly liked and couldn't get bored of, but the process was 100% worth it. I also believe we aren't born with any specific talents, but just some people start earlier than others in life for specific skills, so it appears like they are "talented". Now I'm a lot more confident in my hobbies like making videos on KZhead after years of pure practice and trying new strategies, and yet I still have a lot more to learn.

Underrated, my guy. This is something that some people, like myself, just need to hear. Like, I always understood this concept - I've tried to do the same thing and improve my writing, but I never held myself acountable for anything. Being creative is hard, because even if you improve you usually find a way to see flaws in what you've created. It's a very bad mindset to be in, and one that can easily trap you. So, even though I've told myself I'll improve, I'll get better, I'll set time aside, it hasn't been until recently that I've actually had some self-discipline. I am so glad you made this video, because feeling average and dwelling on that feeling is awful. So hearing about someone who overcame that and just truly followed their passion, it's amazing. Sorry if this was a bit long, but it was sort of a "right youtube video at the right time" sort of thing. So thank you.

I have always been anything but average, and it is on purpose
To be fair even when you’re talented/ the best of the best; all eyes are on you; everyone expects nothing but the best and people who want to leech of your talent and in a way it feels… exploitative (I don’t mean in the case of everyone) but even being the best has it’s downsides and I don’t mean being average is bad but the path to reaching the top is a lonely one

I was taught by a musical theatre director I had in high school that Skill=Talent+Effort. People with high talent can be outshined by someone with little innate talent who works really hard. Talent is basically a start point. Everybody starts at different levels, which can be frustrating, but the farther you go, the less talent actually makes a difference. Someone who believes wholeheartedly that they are already the best is doomed to fall farther and farther behind, as they don't feel the need to improve.

My problem is always starting. Sure, I know what I want, and I can even keep up the work if I do get something going. But I never have any idea on how to actually start. I'll look something up, then get overwhelmed with the sheer amount of new information I have to understand before I can do anything and end up forgetting it all the next day. It's not something I can just practice in small parts, either - the whole thing has to be written out before I can see whether it works or not. Idk tho, maybe I've just had bad luck with the tutorials I pick
knowing where to start is always a challenge, but restructure how to approach that question. lets say you want to learn japanese. literally googling "how to learn japanese" is the first step, step one is any effort into trying to improve something, whatever you wanted to start you most likely already did, its just about finding a way to take a step forward every day, even if incredibly small. watch a tutorial, even if it makes absolutely no sense to you at all, after you do that 100 times all of a sudden you start to see the patterns.
Oh, I know I'm not average. I'm below average. With some things. Others high above. It's never normal with me. Which I wouldn't have not nearly a problem with. If things we're made to accommodate that! But jaaaaaaynimack, if there's one thing certain is that it ain't! But hey, watcha gonna do? It'd be what it'd be.
After I just failed school i thought i was below average until i decided to study mathematical analysis (a math topic that makes calculus look easy) simply for the heck of it, i'm about anywhere from a forth to half of the way through and i'm picking up the concepts with relative ease. this is in the span of a few months. Ps: a bit of topic but talking about time; i'm excited for my 18th birthday but scared about my adulthood, maybe that could be a video idea.

Thanks for this great video! I really need it now, I'm currently on the eve of another university deadline I'm probably about to fail and I'd say I feel like just that - a failure. So maybe I just need to take a leaf out of your book and set goals, become more disciplined maybe. Also, incorporating Minecraft into the video was so so smart. I know some people who find playing Minecraft depressing and I think the reason why is that it's a pretty idle sandbox game, so you have lot of thinking time whilst playing it, so it worked well with the topic of the video
i find it always really easy to just speak my mind while playing minecraft, i have no distractions its just me and my thoughts

So if anyone is feeling pretty scheisse, but this video ain't it for you for whatever reason (Maybe not the right situation or the like), or you're just feeling not all to happy or a bit lost or IDK whatever else reason (I just know that when I was down in the dumps this video would make me feel WORSE). I'd highly recommend watching Charlie the Unicorn and/or Ted Lasso, trust me, apart from reading all 41 Discworld books, these are about as good for (and truthful about) mental health as you can get from a non-therapist/healthy relationship you can get. Please note: I do not guarantee that it'll speak to you like it did me. Subjectiveness and different situations and experiences made me write this comment, and are the underlying reasons why I'd feel real bad if I watched this video during my darker times. So I can't guarantee it'll help. I can guarantee up until a reasonable degree that you'll probably will enjoy it. No matter what you need or how you feel, their fun. It's just that if you're feeling down and don't know how to deal with it, answers COULD be gleamed from there. Just wanted to comment this in case people who weren't in all that dandy o' time, may nar feel so scheisse if this video doesn't really apply to them.

1:05 I don't think that's true. I think it's kind of similar to Saiyans from Dragon Ball Z. Some start off a little better or a little worse or somewhere in between. Some people can do/think things that others can't comprehend, because not everyone is the same. But it's the training and practice that really changes the stats. While some people start if with 0 - 10 skill points in something, training/practicing/doing is what gives you the bulk of your skill points, those other 990 - 1000 skill points.
thats why i mentioned that if you were born 7 feet tall you would most likely be decent at basketball
@@liamthetree Well yeah, but that's not talent. Being born with 2 hands doesn't make you good at cup stacking. Cup stacking and basketball are skilled things. Saying someone is talented at basketball because they're 7ft tall is like saying some's good at night time hide and seek because their skin is dark. Those ARE advantages, but those are not talents, nor skills.
talent and new years resolutions are pretty toxic concepts. i'm baffled by how many people only realize in their adult life that talent doesn't exist. i was one of the "gifted" kids in school, but my drawings weren't good because i was magically good at drawing, drawing was fun and i did it in my free time, so i actually practiced every day. these comments from parents and teachers that i was gifted hurt my skills in the long run, i stopped trying so hard and i only really drew in art class. i was still good at it, but i stopped improving and eventually i fell behind. you don't need to wait till new years to start improving your life. you can change things every day, not once every 365 days.
its all about taking a small step forward in progression every day, even on the days you dont want to. thanks for watching!

ai can make music but it cant have a personality, film music videos, sell out shows, come up with marketing plans for releases, create touring schedules, find new talent. music industry is actually incredibly safe from ai, for now ai can only make good art and decent music, cant do much else in the industry
