Not sure if you came across this over the past year, but the game was developed by one guy who also created the entire soundtrack. Its amazing how one person can be talented in technical and musical ways. Kind of like Undertale, where the game and soundtrack are both brilliant.

First time playing. I had a main (retiarius) renamed Cerberus Maximus. He was so agile he dodged every strike and counter-attacked in the blink of an eye. So powerful he could kill almost everyone with one thrust of his massive fuscina. Somewhere around the endgame he became a legendary hero of the populus... nah kidding, he was murdered like a rookie in 2 sec. RIP Cerberus Maximus, strength and honor.
I relate to this on a very personal level since my beloved-front-row-main-star-with-the-gigantic-sword perished to three lions because I forgot to pay attention...

The most underrated OST I've ever heard. The combat tracks hype me up and ambiental ones are great studying material. Shame about the controversy because I really do think of these as gems.

There is a lot of really good music that is composed for video games, but some is outstanding. My son played it last night while we were cooking supper. I LOVE this.
This is the most Best Fricking Playlist of Music I've ever heard! props to you! I love "Domina" the most lol.
You know the pain when you hear the drumroll on all the possible challenges ahead, the music bangs in the gladiator selection screen, it builds up when you see PREPARE FOR BATTLE, then the countdown begins, IV, build up gets tense as fuck boi, III, you're getting your body ready, II, here it comes, I, oh my god it's happening, it drops like a hammer on the BLEED ON, you cheer for your guy as the music swells, and then not two seconds into the fight, it ends, because your gladiator is so damn powerful? Yeah. The pain is real. The music is just so awesome, I feel physical pain when it gets cut that freaking short. Thanks for having my back, man, I need my fill after a session
Say what you want about the dev (I thought the game itself was good), but soundtrack is awesome at another level. Well done bignic!

i am sitting here really thinking about droping, $10 on this, while my student loan is aproaching critical "lack of" mass. Like ffs this is doom 2016 level of audio induced orgy.
@@Chewie260 If you are still thinking about buying it, the campaign lasts about 2 hours. There is a timelimit until you are forced to fight the last battle. All the time and resources you spent on your gladiator could be wasted in a milisecond beause the enemy gladiator is better than your's. Even on mild difficulty It's easy to get your gladiator killed. And there is an endless mode where it repeats itself harder after everytime you finished the final battle. The game is also still getting updates to this day.
I pirated it at first, but bought it because of the overall quality, soundtrack especially. And the beta-versions are pretty badass, I've reported a few bugs and they get fixed SO FAST!

FUCK YEAH, love that hard sawtooth synth. These are the beats I've been looking for! Also love the use of period sounding instruments like the trumpet. EDIT: Like someone said on another video: This style of music is much like "New Beat", the Belgian style of electronic music from yore. Low tempo and eclectic sounds. Essentially slow Acid House I suppose.
