    • Nice work on this. Trice, do you think a woman will ever play in the NBA in our lifetime?

      @brianjaramillo5126@brianjaramillo5126 Жыл бұрын
    • @@brianjaramillo5126 Thank you! I appreciate the support. I don't believe we will see a woman in the NBA in our lifetime, mainly due to the continued evolution of the NBA games with all 5 positions getting taller and more skilled. But that isn't necessarily a bad thing! Women like Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, Sabrina Ionescu, and countless others with a big platform can help ignite a golden age of women's basketball! This sport is one of the fastest growing in the world, there are plenty of opportunities to build a more popular WNBA!

    • Yeah Stephen A. makes Steph Curry comparisons, but her personality is more like Jordan. She doesn't just compete on the basketball court. She is ultra competitive at everything. You women gonna have problems, you're gonna see her, and she's gonna give it to ya. Kobe didn't even have this mentality. Kobe's competitiveness stopped once he stepped off the basketball court. I would not be suprised if she averages 30ppg in the WNBA.

All of the greats of the past had supporting players that would have started anywhere, Iowa will not win the title this year. • @@harryhonda2500 - unfortunately, she can't be the best player ever, having never led any high school or college team she play on to a championship. BB is not golf or tennis; team results are paramount in team sports, not individual stats. Also the greatest players always attract other greats to play along side them - happens at every level of sports. Every year there are two dozen All-American players coming out of high schools from coast to coast and they sign with schools nationwide, yet in 4 years Iowa has failed to convince any to play alongside Clark - despite Clark and Iowa getting top media promotion and national TV coverage - things all recruits seek. Top players at leading programs elsewhere excel in helping to recruit other top talent, but its clearly odd that for some reason Clark has not. Not sure if its Clark, the coach, or both...but has to be some reason.

I don’t really follow basketball but I watch all your videos , I imagine the women’s scene also has amazing stories to it that I’ve never heard, those big teams and coaches you hinted at being great too, I imagine could also have great docs made about them so I look forward to more !!❤❤

The women's game is full of some great players and coaches, and I was glad to be able to shine some light on it with this project. • Well done! I can't tell you that I'm a big women's hoops fan, but over the years, I have been impressed with quite a few players, whether Cheryl Miller, Dawn Staley (I'm from the Philly area), Cheryl Swoopes, Maya Moore, Elena Delle Doone, and more recently, Paige Bueckers, who I thought could be the best, and hopefully, she'll rebound well from her injuries. Clark just seems to have the best skill set that I've ever seen in a women's player. Not only the range, but how clean and pure her shot is. Perfect form. And she has a great handle and is a very good passer. Her personal qualities - from what I can tell - are also top-notch. She's just a lot of fun to watch.

  • Caitlin is so fluid with her passes AND her shots. People see all these 3's or see her run right to the basket, but neither of those define her. Take a look at her assists. If she were a "'ball hog", her assists would be in single digits. She has full court awareness, where her teammates are at, all the time. She will find Monica Czinano (pronounced Suh-nah-no) under the basket and throw her a ball, leaves me wondering how that ball gets past the other teams. Half the time it's a bounce pass, the other half, it's a hard throw. I don't know for sure who said it, possibly Kim Mulkey from LSU, told her that she was "a generational player".

    @survivrs@survivrs Жыл бұрын
    • I agree! Honestly her passes and vision of the floot may be the most impressive aspect of her game to me. Love the way she controls the game!

      @TriceOfficial@TriceOfficial Жыл бұрын
    • @@TriceOfficial That is where her full vision comes in handy. She doesn't even need to look towards a teammate to pass it to because she knows her teammate will be there, and she will either dribble around a bit, if not, she just steps back and tosses up a 3, swish! She should be in every book or magazine about basketball, about the job of a point guard. Her photo should be next to it in the dictionary. It's been nearly 40 years since I've seen a point guard that good. That was B.J. Armstrong, also an Iowa basketball player. He's a former NBA All-Star who won three championships with Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. He also played with 3 other teams until his retirement. Even he couldn't hit the shots that Caitlin can hit.

  • I don't follow basketball so much until March every year, and even then, not so much the women's side of it. But this year, started catching the hype of Caitlin Clark. Hey this girl shot a triple double in a Regional final. I was like WOW I gotta watch her play. So I watched the South Carolina game and was awe-struck. Immediate Iowa fan. I started watching highlights of their games from this season, and the whole Iowa team just plays so well. It revolves around Caitlin, but there are some really good players around her as well, and I can just feel the energy of them out there. Great to watch. I was so disappointed in their loss to LSU in the title game. The LSU bench just overwhelmed them, along with some questionable officiating which dominoed into foul trouble. I'm ready to follow this team into the coming season.
