  • Them screaming "Bang" at the dalgona game had me on the floor. Must be so effective because the actors never know when they are going to scream, so the jumpscares are probably real ahahah.

    • Well actually all the extras that you see being shot in the show are actually specially trained actors for action scenes who have to know how to move their body naturally and accurately for the type of shot happening to them so they're more than just extras.

  • I absolutely LOVE the fact that they intentionally filmed all the episodes/games as their actual order in the show… to capture their genuine physical exhaustion and emotional fatigue as they progressed!💖

    • Except for the marble game episode, where they filmed the scene with Sae-byeok joining forces with the other girl, and because they had become friends in real life it was very emotional because it was also the other girl's final scene in the show.

  • I'm going to be honest, I didn't have high expectations for this series but seeing that everyone spoke wonders of it and even recommended it, I dared to watch it; And believe me it was the best thing I did, I literally watched the entire series in just ONE DAY; I am not one of those who like to watch series because they tend to bore me but it did not happen in this case, its plot, suspense totally enveloped me. I dare say that it is the best series Netflix has ever released. Let's hope the second season of "Squid Game" comes out.

    • Life is not fair. That is what Squid Game was all about. If you wanna success you have to be lucky, cheat or even eliminate others on your way to top. Honest and nice people that are not born in rich family have allmost zero chance to success. Sang Woo played the Squid Game best i would say.

  • The amount of brainpower, time, physical work, and emotional energy that went into creating this... I hope Netflix is paying them all what they deserve. A billion dollars earned from one show on a streaming platform... it's insane. Bravo to every single person and particularly, the director/writer who gave us this gem of a series

  • The slow motion glass explosion shot was amazing. I knew that had to be pretty complex from a technical standpoint and seeing the behind the scenes confirms just how intricate that scene was

  • Seeing the tug of war scene broke my heart bc you never see Deoksu and it's because the actor is literally throwing up between takes. Poor man, so much respect for him for doing what he did for this role.

    • @@carlangaspotter physical exertion...they were pulling against a machine on the other side. He threw up cos he didn't breathe in time and using all strength to pull...much like weight lifting. If you don't breathe properly when doing weight, you get light headed and want to throw up too.

  • along with Sae-byeok, Mi-nyeo and Deok-su stole my attention. they were intimidating in their own ways. Min-nyeo with her tactical and pragmatism approaches, her twist and turn personality, her ability to spot and abuse her opponent weaknesses, she keeps her words to death. bruh that's off the chain. Deok-su the menacing one, that tough-to-beat kinda guy, does everything to win, i love the way he hides his weakness so well and smooth until gradually exposed. Kim Joo-ryeong and Heo Sung-tae are sooo talented ! love em !

It's not an easy task to be able to convince emotions and stories to a massive range and amount of audience. It's not an easy task to be able to make a show that will become a global " fever". If it were an easy peasy task, I'd be producing one. So, we gotta appreciate the team and their work that's involved in creating such a phenomenal masterpiece. Even if you refuse to accept it as one, I betcha our average Ram, Harry and Dick can't recreate it. Well, even if they do -- it will be just a photocopy. 😄🤷

    • They initially ordered a ton of them in bulk but they were too thick, so they had to get an artisan to come in and make them on set as they filmed. The art director was really dedicated to making it all look right.

  • this was cool to watch. I'm so glad there was no commentary or music. I think that takes the focus off the actors and what's going on around them during filming. I actually jumped when the person said bang the last time in the playground scene. Also, in the glass panel scene at the ending. the director or director's assistant gave the actors a new meaning 2 the word "cut". lol!!!

  • Asian Series are so underrated. The crazy idea of the stories (could be an anime/manga as well) but bringing that idea to life so it's believable - thats an art. Also the quality of them is like there are no limits. I am at a point where I only watch netflix for mostly asian series. They are just mangas but as Netflix original and thats crazy.
