I love how they added "Doc" and the DeLorean in the tour.
After they removed Back to the Future: The Ride, I was afraid they would eventually tear down the clock tower from the backlot too, but I'm glad they kept it.
And the nod to the Broadway musical and Universal’s other musical that will be turned into a film “Wicked.”
Hy
That 3d scene with king and dinosaurs was insane especially when it started to fall crazy imagery
I miss the original King Kong practical effects. you could feel his hot breath.
And smell his banana breath
Yes!!! And smell his breath! Bananas!
I was thirteen when that burned down but I do remember both of those things
SHAME THE BIG FIRE HAPPEND , bUT THE jOURNEY continues , ALSO GETTING RID OF THE oLD JAWS RIDE ...SHAME..
the earthquake simulator looks worse now.. i miss when it was orange and dark in there tbh
1:39-1:57 above the hydrogen tanker truck is the same old facade for the old King Kong ride from the early 90's.
I was there in the 80s and they had that. lol No wonder everyone looks so bored during this whole ride.
No it’s not that got burned down
@@imanoobb8446 yes it is. google it. because it looks like to me that I am right because 111 people agree with me to your 1.
The Back To The Future scene is AWESOME
Great Scott!
@@alexgeorge501 this is heavy

There goes that word again “heavy”, is there a density increase in the future?
There goes that word again “heavy”, is there a density increase in the future?
Can’t imagine doc standing there 1 hr smoking til people come 😂
Anyone else do a double take when it turned night into day not knowing this video was edited lol 😂 😂
Ugh. All of the amazing, wonderful movies under the Universal umbrella and you end on the bland, cheesy, lack of depth Fast & Furious schlock. Such a huge letdown for a tour of an iconic Hollywood studio. It’s gross.
I couldn't agree with you more
I mean, fast & furious is still a good part of it’s history regarding the earlier movies.
And we got the grown up baby complaining about theme park rides 😂😂 they’re not for you calm down
@@peterlangstone1808 I’m sorry that reading comprehension wasn’t taught at whatever backwoods school you attended.
@@pibbitybibbity I’m sorry a children’s ride isn’t up to your liking. Where’d you graduate from mr scholar?
Happy 60th Anniversary, Universal Studios Hollywood!
I will tell you younger viewers something. You really missed out on that King Kong set during the backtour!
when i did halloween horror nights in 2015, they let us step off the tram at war of the worlds and bates motel. was pretty cool....happy 60th! I wish they still had the cheesy animatronic King Kong, least I got to see it a few times before it was burned down.
Do you know what I just love it so much it's looks like new house since Halloween horror night's
Pretty sure most HHN terror trams make you step off at one of the sets. I can confirm the last two years
Can't believe they still have that Jaws photo op prop! Got some great family photos with that old shark back in the 90s
Earthquake section was closed down today :( thank you so much for capturing it!
No new 3-D effects can match the old KING KONG.
True, and the banana breath is part of my childhood.
The Studio Tour 60th Anniversary ride looks amazing
It's looks like new Ture life story all about VIP tickets tour guide Legends of universal studios hollywood new 60th birthday anniversary celebration of Life
On Earthquake they need to restore the swinging electric telegraph pole and the Tesla coils on both sides! Fog effects have also been cut, ceiling sparks reduced. Lame that the lighting is so bright in there now, they’ve eliminated the darkness and the intensity that goes with it. These are simple fixes that can go a long way.
The opening straight up lookin like shovelware studios Hollywood
I went to opening day of Earthquake back in the 80s. This looks about the same, maybe a little less water.
"New" Earthquake is just fresh paint and modern looking props, right?
Never been on the ride, but the fact that the hydrogen truck appears to be a really old make and model, unlike most of the other props,I would assume so
13:30 How cool must THAT be? Whoever came up with that idea to allow passengers to disembark was a genius!
Yeah but the disembark won't be there forever.
Depending on the year the tram ride use to stop two or three times in the 70s and early 80s'. 1st was at a prop place with rest area, a place that showed a few actors apartments that were onset and I forget what the third one was. Eventually it just became a ride where you saw the sets in about and hour and a half.
I wonder if they make you get back on at the Bates motel, or you can just skip the fast and furious part! 😂
@@mikebeisel7174 That would always be MY dream!
I can’t stop laughing during that scene. It just looks so bad that I’m sure they’re counting the days until the coaster opens, so they can rightfully shut the piece off 💩 down!
I wish I go there. I’m from Thailand. This is so nostalgic.
The Dino vs Kong was the best! I remember that very well. That and Bates Motel
Too bad the movie set props on earthquake don't shake or fall, and the electric pole doesn't come down and some other effects not working
I don't know why, but the Fast & Furious section of the Tram Ride always reminds me of GTA Online and Los Santos.
It’s all about family, bro.
Speaking of family Dom from fast and furious is in the fast and furious spy racers Netflix series
Wouldn’t it be cool to see a video of the full ride on the pink and white trams back from the beginning in 1964
i wonder how often they have to de-mold the flash flood area
11:48 the fact they have a war of the worlds set surprises me. As a fan of the war of the worlds I see this as a win!
They really outdid themselves with everything! Good job guys!
i just recently got over my fear of rollercoasters and fast rides. I love watching your videos and exploring what rides in the outside world is like since I've only been to Six Flags once. Thanks for all this and keep it up!
I love this studio tour now. ❤️
The earthquake effect should have been made 2x faster so it would have felt more real The fast & furious racing effect if there is a visual touch with a fan during the race will be more real
Awesome full Studio Tour 60th Anniversary at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Do you know what I just love 60th birthday anniversary celebration party years universal studios hollywood new 🆕 picture awards TCM hollywood movies on the best
5:40 Dont think the guy in the third row recording with his phone understands how 3d glasses work lol
It's looks great
Gosh, I had such a good time working there selling food and drink, way back in 1977.
I appreciate you uploading this. Special thanks for thoughtfully providing the date this was actually filmed. I like to file these in chronological order to show the evolution of the park(s). Thanks again.
i remember going to Universal Studio at like year 2000 with my family and seeing JAWS set for the first time and getting scared. Can't believe times have gone by so fast and now its 24 years later and i'm seeing even more delicate sets in the palm of my hand via KZhead.. what a time to be alive !!
No matter how bad it may be relative to every other part of the tram tour, the Fast & the Furious segment will probably stay for a long time simply because of how expensive it was to produce. Honestly, I would rather have the Avalanche/Mummy rotating tunnel back. This may just be my age talking, but I've never liked any of the 3-D surround attractions on the tour (Skull Island & FatF). I know these were developed to "modernize" the tour after the backlot fire, but nothing ever beats the spectacle of practical effects. If the whole idea is to "ride the movies", the studio tour needs to either double down on the historical aspect the the various sets and sound stages or return to immersive effects shows and set vignettes. The Battlestar Galactica mini-FX show on the tour blew my mind as a kid.
I remember the Mummy one. Even though I was young during that time I do remember and the dropping bridge I think it was
They should start restoring and bring back all the old backlot attractions for the anniversary or for whatever tbh, so yeah
@@bradwhite5884 The fact they straight up said "No, we aren't rebuilding the revolutionary King Kong attraction that stood as a celebration of our studio's prestigious history of special effects work, in favor of a half-assed motion simulator we can use to promote a movie franchise tha will cease to be relevant within 5 years," killed me.
I do remember Universal Studio has a mummy rotating tunnel and men it was trippy for me and it was quite fun so I understand why you want it. Personally, they could have been making that for a anniversary also but sadly they don't have the original one anymore but if they ever added it for a next anniversary, it would be interesting to see the reaction of it
@@dragonifyamazing2721 I agree. It was pretty cool. There’s a couple things that I would have loved to see if possible the original version of King Kong, The Mummy, that part where they had the rocking bridge
The earthquake attraction would be cool if the whole set shook 🙂 Good to see it back up & running though!
I miss this studio tour. The first time I experienced this was way back last 2000 or 2001.
they pay to experience the earthquake. please come to japan or indonesia. its free.
Hell nah 💀
No no no jangan ngadi ngadi kang 🫵😭
Also come to chile
Its also free
How is that free. Its still the same cause you have to go on the airport or boats
So glad to see they've updated it! I haven't ridden it since 2016 and it looks so much nicer now!
They finally did it… THEY REMAKE IT!
Wow, did all these old rides back in the day. Is this available at US Orlando too?
One thing I immediately noticed is the better sound during the earthquake scene but what are the other significant improvements?
The sound being updated and a repaint of the subway train
Repaint and also I don't remember the studio equipment being there before
I would love to travel to America someday to do this, so expensive though.
Jus Crazy!!!!
Wow they are got some actors this is wat this tour needs
The Earthquake scene , is exactly like the one in Beverly Hills Cop
It's been a LONG time since I've been to Universal Studios
Jaws is always going to be making it round
That was a great experience
This Earthquake Like On “Beverly Hills Cop III” Release: May 25, 1994
Had a great time on the AP tram tour yesterday for the 60th anniversary…but strangely the only thing we didn’t do were the earthquake and dinosaur scenes. It was fun getting off at the bates motel and having photo ops. Reminds me of halloween horror nights.
I like the Military fighting on the Aliens from The war of the worlds from the movie
Respect for the engineering and designers ❤❤❤😊
The fast and furious one looks like GTA 5
Hearing little kids scary is still has to be the most satisfying sound too Steven 😅
Since when did the Studio Tour's Jurassic Park area added 3 more Dilophosaurus & a Tyrannosaurus Rex? Must be an upgrade for the 60th Anniversary!🦖🦖🦖🦖But why not add herbivores, like the Triceratops for example?🦕 Pumping Udanoceratops!
I think this is sooo cool!! I don’t understand the complaints at all 😅
3:57 who remembers this show? I do
Is so cool
Very funny that they referenced the bttf musical lol
Wow, they f’ed up the war of the worlds set. The passenger plane looks like it was chopped up and all of it looks a lot less impressive then it was, looked more real before now it looks like a cheap set
exactly what I was thinking. The set before looked like chaos ensued and it was amazing. When I saw it on this video first thing I said was "why did they do this!?"
My thinking is they trashed it with the add ons from Holloween Horror Nights and it needed a refurb. But yeah, now there isnt a chaos feel to it anymore.
Bro it’s the exact same wdym
It doesn’t help that you’re entering the scene from the “wrong” direction. It looks better from the other way.
@1ronEntertainment the wreckage was split in half. The tram drove through the middle before. It wasnt stricken to just one side. They allowed people to walk through it last year apart of HHN.
Wow amazing mind-blowing I will be there one day then want see
I CAN'T BELIVE IT THE GTR IS HERE!!
This is a nice escape for us poor kids
Wow, haven't been on this ride in some time nice to see the Fast and Furious. The sound is also better on the Earthquake scene.
holy cow... i thought im having a severe case of dejavu but when i saw the part in the metro station and the outdoor flood, i knew i had experienced it before. I then took a look at old photos and i have pictures dating from Sept 1989. I was a tiny lil kid back then LOL!!! Looking at the images and this footage is amusing! xD
I heard there was a tram accident hurting 15 people. Now that's audience participation! 😂
Haha true that
Are there different studios tours there? I did it on the 17th, it lasted 40 minutes and I saw only half of this I didn't see the earthquake scene and the war of the worlds set for example
Wow, must be so cool to work there ❤ Lucky folk.
That felt real
13:30 who idea it is so cool!
15:08 My Childhood Nostalgia
Happy 60th a nniversary congratulations workec at universal loved it and loved living in North hollywood
Great video work! Thanks for sharing!
Hold up! You can walk on the Bates Motel lot?!? We couldn’t last time we were there
If this is in California they did some major updates on the tram tour!!! 😍❤🤩
SOMEDAY. I AM GOING TO EXPERIENCE THIS. SOOOOMDEDAAAAAY!☺️
I was here back in 1985 I was 15 yrs old, I had got a big scar on my face the day before and they had a Frankenstein walking around out side and came up to me and said lets take a picture. When it was all over I got a Button with Frankenstein and my scared face pic on it. lol Best day ever. We had the Battlestar Galactica exhibit with the Silons, The Original Show not the 2000 yr version. yea lots has change since then. A Team Original was one of the shows as well.
I love the same where the dinosaur actually grabbed one of the carts from the ride and it looks so realistic when there was actually people in it but I know it was probably just editing!
Well done 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Universal Studio of Hollywood is celebrating 60th Anniversary with a banger that lets people disembark the tour of the bates motel is very interesting but i don't think it would keep it there. I have been Studio Tram 2 or 3 times in my time and its fun
🤩 broken train
For the dinosaur one, i remember a smell from when i was younger but now i dont smell it whenever i go on it and i was wondering if anyone knew why that is
George had lots of guts
С ультра высоким качеством видео , я как будто сам там побывал , круто конечно . Посмотрел с удовольствием 😊
Earthquake is so cool and half the tram is watching through their tiny phone screens.
people are idiots
I miss Jurasick Park❤❤
Отличная работа! Хотела бы я побывать на таком аттракционе!)
Wait, did they demolish the grinch houses?
Just looked it up and yes they had, I’m super bummed over it
Years ago
They removed the Grinch section in 2020. But tbh the maintenance was getting really bad towards the end anyway.
wow😮👍
Whats the camera do you use? So clear. Thanks
How did you get such a smooth shot?
It's really great.!! If it were to be produced in Japan, I would like to watch Mario & TOHO Godzilla appear in it.
Please tell me this is staying around! I want to experience this.
How did the ride goes from night time to day time? Did you records this in multiple rides?
He probably did. Recorded at night because the cast members were included in the night tram and for daytime, other stuff.
So exciting they had to add screams and woows
Nailed that shot at 13:42 lol
Im wondering how the horror nights tram tours are going to look like now. I like some of these improved scenes too.
