Turns up when it matters. His production is a consequence of an offence with multiple studs who all need to be fed.

I think that BA is a very solid player and would definitely be a WR 1 on any other team. Having said that, I believe he benefits from defenses having to worry about 3 other special talents on the 49ers offense. And that allows for BA to take advantage of 1 on 1 match ups and create space with his route running. The question is how would he perform having the defenses full attention as the number 1 receiver. And how would he adjust to seeing double teams and bracket coverage..
And he's got Shanahan scheming up plays, with Brock Purdy putting the ball exactly where Shanahan tells him to at the exact moment.

@@dontme5670 the salary cap is going up every year, and they had almost $30mil rollover from last year. They’re gonna have to make some tough decisions next year but they can absolutely afford to pay Aiyuk.

If I’m a GM, I would love for a player on my team who everyone knows is not a market setting player to request a trade this time of year. They get to see just what their market is. SF says, “we are only getting a 2 for him & the other team will only give him $2 more guaranteed. I’ll sign that.”
If my Pats go qb at 3 I REALLY want Aiyuk to help develop them.
Aiyuk certainly doesn't want to go to a loser team...there are many....he may not be happy with the outcome if he is traded....

It aint happening. Before Aiyuk the best drafted WR was Crabtree and he was above average. They haven’t drafted a elite WR in a long time so I doubt they will let him go.

Trades don’t happen enough. Contract & cap hit are of course a hindrance, but NFLPA should work in that if a player states officially they want to be traded they should force teams to not play them and seek a trade. There should obviously be limits & restrictions, but more accountability needs to be put on team front offices since despite new tv deals players salaries have not gone up accordingly.
BA will be a niner. Other than going to the Chiefs, no chance he's getting a SB anywhere else. 49ers are just too damn good. Chiefs get super lucky. Honestly. Great team but super lucky and everyone knows it, even Chiefs fans.

95% of the time these players cry about getting paid even before the current contract is still active.. then they fall off and don’t live up to what they are getting paid, there are incentives to help the player to make more money. I think there should be incentives to go the other way if they don’t hit extra amount of requirements, they lose money.

Brandon is a solid #2 receiver he's not a #1 at all. The only reason he got the looks he did is cause there's 5 other ppl on your offense that is mote important than you so while defense is trying to strap them ofcourse your going to get good looks 🤷♂️

What you want and what you get is completely different. As good of a player as Brandon Aiyuk is 49ers ain't getting a first round pick and a player. They will be lucky to get the 1st round pick. Not this year my friend.
@@ericsinclair1826correct. Any other year, they’d be getting mid-first round picks thrown at them in exchange for BA, but with the depth and quality of this WR class the market doesn’t want to pay up.

Boston Connor is out of his element trying to talk cap numbers. Niners will have plenty of money to resign Purdy. Trent Williams isn’t going to be around forever. I give him 2 more years of playing at most. That will be a ton of cap space freed up.

So as things sit right now, 49ers have 6 million in cap this year most of which will go to draft picks. However, in 2025 they are 23 million over the cap. Now the cap will go up, but they'll still probably be over it.
When they sign Aiyuk this year and spread his bonus out they will LOWER his cap hit this year by more than $5 Million. Niners are cash rich, do this with everyone who they pay or extend
