@@Kreege Making an excuse for a bad call doesn't change what should have been the outcome. The non-call had a direct game breaking effect. That's a penalty, regardless.
@s69-5 Жыл бұрын
@@s69-5 It's still embarrassing for Kovalev because all he cared about was trying to sell the slashing call. That is why they always teach you to play until the whistle. For a professional of his caliber playing in Montreal in double OT, he should absolutely know better. To be honest I found this one to be one of the most embarrassing clips. Most are innocent mistakes due to very unlucky circumstances. This one never should have happened.

That Ron Francis goal in 1992 STILL haunts me to this day. Rangers up 2-1 in the series, and had a 2 goal lead AND a 5 minute major power play with 15 minutes left in the game. Figured they'd come out of that with AT LEAST a 3 goal lead with 10 minutes to play. Basically, already celebrating a 3-1 lead in the series. And they not only get stopped in the entire 5 minute power play, but Richter gives up that horrendous goal right after. so instead of a 3 goal lead with 10 to play, it was a 1 goal lead...then a tie game just a minute and 15 seconds later. Then an overtime loss. Then a lost series. So much for the President's trophy that year!
@FUGP723 ай бұрын
People don't understand the further away the shot... Especially slapshots in this instance are harder to stop and see....When shot from the neutral zone or further you can't see it usually till a few feet in front of you at most...And its coming hard.

"Everybody makes mistakes. Everybody has those days."
Osgood like 3 times as well
5:52 if you ever get the chance of watching the Kings 2012 Championship video, this moment is mic’d up for the Coyotes and Yandle says “HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!” 😂
We lost that series, but that Morris goal always puts a smile on my face.
Both of those Lidstrom goals were GWG on the way to the Wings winning the cup
If I had a nickel for every goal from this years Islanders/Canes series, I'd have three nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that series had three.
amazing video thank you so much for making this! Short and sweet clips of all the best low light goals in the postseason, really well done hope you make more content!
Thank you Jessie, I got a good one coming out today!
2:58 I wouldn’t say that’s embarassing, Al Macinnis had a freaking cannon
Was looking for that. The guy had 100mph shot with a wooden stick.. Goaler was simply not ready for it. Guy wasn't human. He'd hit 110 mph with today's sticks.
Yeah that was a crazy shot, but I had to bring that clip back
Osgood gave up a lot of Center Ice Goals back then
@@DeltaHighlightsJamie Langenbrunner had a more embarrassing one the next round
When I saw the name of this post, I immediately thought of Steve Smith's own-goal. I'm glad you included it.
Yes. Tough loss for oilers. If they beat flames that year, they could’ve won five cups in a row.
@@zprodigalson It wasn't sad for me. I was a Flames fan back then.
@@ronfehr7899 Me too! I lived in Calgary from 1981-1988. The year I moved to Toronto, they won the cup! 😂
@@zprodigalson 😅
Best hockey compilation channel on KZhead
I appreciate it Person!
Jarry yeeting the puck to Bailey will always be funny
Even though we won that series, that first one still gives me nightmares😂😂 Nice video:)
same with the Skinner whiff, that one more so in my opinion
2:43 the odds of him meaning to find that insanely small gap are impossible. Y’all did Aho dirty lol but those pair back to back at 7:18 feel like points shaving 😂
Nik Lidstrom with like 200 feet of goals here. The first one was a laser. What a talent he was.
1:18 this was Ty Conklin mishandling the puck following Dwayne Roloson’s injury. After this game, the Oilers stuck with Jussi Markkanen for the rest of the Final
This is the best Hockey channel on KZhead
Thank you Heinrich Fam!
Famous line from the commentaries " Patrick Roy just got caught Hot doging" no one is going to forget that line, mostly popular
1:55 ,whatre you doiiinngg🤣👏🤣 these center ice shots are freaking priceless
As a Montreal Canadiens fan, I can confirm that Marc Andre Fluery literally gave that goal to us
Fleury featured a few times in here.
"As a Montreal Canadiens fan" Hold up, wait a minute, somethin' ain't right.
@@ninetailedfox579121 lol
7:44 - The only embarrassing thing there is the officiating. Should have been a slashing call, regardless of the partisan play by play.
double OT of a playoff game that chop in the neutral zone is never getting called, especially in the pre-lockout era that clip occurred in.
@@Kreege Making an excuse for a bad call doesn't change what should have been the outcome. The non-call had a direct game breaking effect. That's a penalty, regardless.
That was a very weak slash that happens 30 times a game.
That Steve Smith Own Goal is my favorite of them all on this video. It wasn't in overtime, but it was Game 7 and the last goal of the series.
If you’re a goaltender……. TEND THE GOAL
😂😂😂😂
The Roy one will never not be funny
Good 'ol Statue of Liberty goal
People don't understand the further away the shot... Especially slapshots in this instance are harder to stop and see....When shot from the neutral zone or further you can't see it usually till a few feet in front of you at most...And its coming hard.
Glad they saved Roy for last. That one was hilarious
I was waiting for that Patrick Roy goal! I see you saved the best for last! 😂 ✌🏼😎👍🏼
That fleury goal gives me nightmares
Which one, there were like five lol
The Roy Statue of Liberty is immortal
That Aho tip bouncing into the net with Sorokin is a fresh wound as an Isles fan 😅
"Jacques Lemaire, apparently one of the underated fellas of the Montreal tea...SCORES!":😅😅
If there’s ever gonna be a part two whether intentional or not lemeuixs goal on Eddie Balfour in the 1992 final from behind the net to make it 4 to 3 in game 1
That Steve Smith own goal is legendary! As legendary as Oilers and own goals!
I like Fleury, but I knew there would be multiple clips involving him.
When you were in over 150 playoff games, you would make a couple of gaffs too....
@@aralornwolf3140 Yeah, it's bound to happen. And it looked like Cam Ward and Osgood had a few and they're still some of the best ever.
Fleury had some pretty rough postseasons from like 2010-2015
I’m still curious what Mike Smith was yelling when that puck went in
This is good! No annoying screaming SD comments in between. Liked!
Still feeling the pain from the Lemaire/Esposito goal. Game 7 1971. Hawks led 2-0 & lost 3-2 at home.
The thing with that Stuart Skinner whiff was that his stick broke when he tried to pass it, and he was doing that a lot in that game
Chris Osgood appeared quite frequently. Lol
My favorite is Marc Bergevin throwing it into his own net!
Coulda made this whole playlist same length w just Ullmark vs Panthers 2023
1:13 Poor Ty Conklin, just a bad situation for him. He was brought in to the game only minutes before because of an injury to Roloson and then did that ... and never played again that series. Lost in seven years later to Detroit too
You thinking of doing a part 2 of the greatest playoff goals?
I’ll look into it at the end of this years playoffs!
1:37 During a postgame interview, when referring to the goal, Chris Phillips said "Now I know how Steve Smith feels". He knows how Smith felt in 1986 anyway.
8:55 out of the 12 players on the ice, there are 9 HOFers. Hasek, Lidstrom, Shanny, Fedorov, Yzerman & Roy, Blake, Sakic, Forsberg Lol. Just insane talent. Such a great rivalry.
That calgary, Smith Longshot goal gave me ptsd 😂
6:05 I was at the watch party outside the Oilers home ice when I saw this. I smashed my sunglasses on the ground. Granted no one saw the broken stick live, they just thought Skinner screwed up really bad.
that chris phillips goal really hurt them in that stanley cup final. Rip makes me so sad
5:11 I remember watching that Yvon Cournoyer goal (pass, not goal, from Jacques Lemaire) on Tony Esposito, 1973 Finals game 6, 3rd period. I was a little kid watching that in my room on a small black & white TV. Do you kids even remember black & white TV?
I remember being at the Avs game when that OT goal happened. There was a San Jose fan right next to us and seeing him pout after that went in made my night!
And watching the Avs fans crying after the Sharks win that series made my night 🎉
@@ericfett9218The Avs are Shark’s food.
2:57 To be fair Al McInnis was one of the hardest shooters of all time.
Heyy hey... what's up guys? Love your channel ❤️
Damn I saw Flower on this list way too many times
Good compilation of some amazing playoff hockey. You'd think goaltenders would do ANYTHING to prevent a goal during playoffs. Apparently not.
They called Nick Lidstrom "The Perfect Human", but I'm not so sure. Humans just can't do what he did at 2:20.
Crazy compilation, you must’ve dig deep!
Thank you! I tried to get some good throwback clips.
After having Steve Smith and Ty Conklin haunt us Oilers fans... it kind of feels cathartic that we can laugh about Mike Smith and Stuart Skinner, knowing we won both games and series.
The Penguins and giving up embarrassing playoff goals to the Islanders. Name a more iconic duo.
7:45 POV me playing nhl 23
Fernando Pisani goal should have been on here, shorthanded in overtime with the Stanley cup on the line and he scores to keep the series going.
Missed the Makar blooper against Dallas during the Bubble Cup.....ended up being the game winner that put the Stars up 3-1 in the series. Definitely the easiest goal Gurianov has scored so far! lol
Fleury should have his own compilation
kzhead.info/sun/rZSPd9uqipWboYU/bejne.html Someone should update it but captures the spirit well :)
that fleury one is one of the worst ive ever seen. they almost certainly would have gone up 2-1 and at least made it to game 7 of the series, and possibly the finals
There was one in Nashville vs Chicago where seabrok shot it in and it hit kane’s foot and went into the empty net. Around 2010 ish
I meant to include that, but idk what happened D:
Pretty sure that fumble by Chris Phillips was also the cup clinching goal for Anaheim
2:00 the wrong Aho scored
Love me some Osgood but he did let in the occasional long ranger. Also Lidström was on the ice for like 7 or 8 of these goals, including scoring 2 and (I think?) getting an assist on that famous Yzerman goal on Roy’s failed Statue of Liberty save.
Levels out :P
"Jacques Lemaire apparently one of the underrated fellas" talking about a future hall of famer lmao
LOL Nick Lidstrom, master of the centre ice knuckler shot.
This is awesome but wish the date was on the screen for each...just for fun.
0:44 to be fair, jarry tried his absolute best to get back in position but josh Bailey is too good of a player to give chances like that.
Lol elite Josh Bailey
Fleury singlehandedly losing Game 4 to Columbus in 2014 should have been on here. what he did was WORSE than the Josh Anderson goal, 7 years before, and the game winner in OT was from the blue line and an absolute softie
satisfying ending
What about Steve Yzerman’s center ice goal from Wayne Gretzky?
3:06 2012 Eastern Conference semis game five, this ended up being the series winning goal.
That Robin Lehner one,he didn't even bend over, the puck went between his legs while he was still standing, might have been his last play with the knights!
Fluery on the thumbnail seems so appropriate.
That aho/sorokin gaffe was horrible. Ilya is so good but that goal was just bad to give up
Also Aho didn’t even need to deflect that. That and the Slavin goal that game just made me pissed
Lidstroms goal on the canucks shouldn’t be embarrassing, that’s just how he was
Is the embarrassing thing about 7:30 that the refs didn't call an obvious slash?
something about that sharp goal was a pivotal momentum shift in that series
3:20...Bro was really tryna cut down that angle.
bro that missed call slash right on the fingers and the boston announcer is like you gotta suck it up in overtime LMAOO
Marc Andre Fluery is on here mutilple times lol. I remember for Pittsburgh he was very shaky in the playoffs
On the bright side... at least I dont have to see any recent Red Wings ebarassing playoff goals in this video 😂
I remember Steve Smith's EDM birthday boo-boo on his 23rd birthday on Wednesday, April 30th, 1986, as he scored on his own goalie Grant Fuhr EDM v CGY to give CGY the series win 4-3!
aho for the islanders scoring for the canes has to be the best 2023 playoff moment
To be fair to Chris Osgood, Al MacKinnis had like a 1,000mph shot.
