  • All major / most minor nations were set up based on their actual real life numbers (source: globalfirepower.com). China received a boost to its navy to make up for the difference between the default Millennium Dawn Mod numbers and what China actually has in 2022 - in terms of its ratio vs the US Navy. Industry of China was as well boosted to reflect its current national output more closely (source: www.statista.com/chart/20858/top-10-countries-by-share-of-global-manufacturing-output). The nations I picked for either side were for the most part influenced by Whatifalthist videos (kzhead.info/sun/fdZ9erVpbKdrknk/bejne.html) on the same topic. Though I normally never like sacrificing realism for the sake of balance of sides in any scenarios, some nations were put under Russo-Sino side for that purpose. I am hoping and counting on us never finding out how right or wrong this setup was!

  • Agree with most of the video except that it's unrealistic that Bangladesh , India or Pakistan will get involved since they try to play good on both signs. Eg Russia and India have strong Millitary alliances, but India is economically tied with America and at the same time Pakistan is a formal US ally but has strong economic ties with China. And, Bangladesh has an official non-involvement stance in these issues since it wants to be the "Switzerland of the East."

Wether or not the us falls is beyond me but I'm not confident in NATO as a whole. Thats assuming china sides with russia.

When the war game scorekeepers would come around to check on the launch crew and ask if they had lunch their missile and if they answered yes they were tagged dead as their short range nuclear missiles we're not exploding far enough away that the shock wave killed everybody within a hundred mile range as the tactical nukes had a 75 mi range ....nobody wins as Earth will be a nice quiet neighborhood for the next 10,000 years

  • A lot of the blue countries arent really blue in reality. India, vietnam and indonesia have huge chinese trade and are most likely neutral unless invaded. Nearly all middle east countries are either neutral or forced to go Red if Israel starts taking land (most likely), giving a huge advantage to the Reds with their oil. And before moscow or beijing falls all their nukes would be fired, more than 10000 of them compared to the few hundred here. Total conquest of such vast amount of land is near impossible, with guerrila warfare continuing, most likely at some point there will be stalemate and become unwinnable for both sides.

Let this game simulation remain a game simulation, but in reality we will never see an armed conflict on a global scale again. By the way, I can recommend to the author another very authoritative source for game simulations in HOI4 with modifications to the present. Namely, I recommend the author to use the annual journal of the British Institute for Strategic Studies «The Military Balance». He analyzes very clearly and very well all the armies of all countries of the world. Such a magazine is more authoritative than the Global Firepower rating, because this magazine is made up of at least experienced scientists and specialists. However, this magazine is paid. But I managed to get a free issue of this magazine for 2018. Therefore, I can provide a link to it, if the author needs it.

At 15 megatons, it was the highest yield weapon ever tested by the United States, but that high yield was an accident. Weapon scientists anticipated a yield of 6 megatons, but new weapon designs led to the inadvertent discovery of thermonuclear fusion chain reactions. The accident more than doubled the power of the blast.
