    • It's not easy to see them in cages where they don't belong but its the sad reality that big cats born in cages can never go free. It is not legal. We need to keep them in the wild where they belong but it takes changes in laws and education to those who think having a big cat as a pet is a good idea. We have passed the law in the US which now prohibits cub petting and private possession but sadly it doesn't have those who have already been used for selfish human reasons and now are relegated to life in a cage. It's a sad side effect of our selfish human behavior that has led to so many big cats having to live out their lives in cages.

    • In theory, since bigger size makes it harder to dissipate heat, bigger animals should have a slower metabolism and thus heart rate, and they should as a result live longer on average.

  • The smaller cats don't tear the box up and use it like domestic would, while the big cats do tear it up and just lay on the pieces because smaller cats feel secure in tight spaces, while big cats don't really need to feel that secure, since almost nothing can mess with most of them.

  • Somehow this video turned up in my recommendations now,, but i sure love that it did. Needed that today for a nice mental boost.
