  • Love how dainty the tigers eat from the stick, no snatching the food, just a gentle nibble before slowly taking. So well trained plus I love Dutchess 🥰

    • The amazing thing is that they're the only ones that AREN'T getting the stick treatment despite being some of the biggest animals. The feeder is using a regular serving utensil for each of the tigers compared to the long-range stick for all the other felines. The tigers are just THAT polite.

    • Why Do I Exist - makes total sense. The big cats are confident apex predators, they never have much to worry about. Little cats are both predators and prey, so they’re a lot more twitchy.

    • well part of it is portion size. To a big cat that little scrap of fish isn't even a snack so they aren't going to care too much. Also in the wild larger cats tend to dominate the wild so they aren't generally too troubled for food. Smaller cats have to fight with countless other predators for food and might even have a habit of stealing from other predators so they are used to aggresively seizing any food they can.

    • Probably because tigers are true apex predators. The smaller felines sometimes have to fight off other predators from taking their prey. That happens a lot less often to tigers, so they're less worried about someone trying to take the fish. Atleast that's what I think.
