I wish the anime does an ova or atleast a single episode dedicated to hinata and co as third years, when the name Karasuno has become the talk of the town. I wanna see how much better everyone got and yachi as a full fledged manager. I also wanna see how much more passionate Tsukishima has gotten about volleyball, and how they interact with their juniors, (i.e. with Tsukishima being a sadistic genius, will he treat his juniors that way or just towards kageyama and hinata? Or would Kageyama and Hinata continue to be idiots?)I also wonder if Karasuno's volleyball club would have more members thanks to the Karasuno earning the title of powerhouse again. Oh my god there's so much I wanna think about, I really hope the anime will dedicate an ova or even better, 2 ovas to their third year.

Him not playing volleyball it's actually a great move for the writing of his character. It really fits the whole being good means being free thematic. He was amazing but for him volleyball wasn't his everything and what he wanted his life to revolve around, just like Osamu, and that's ok!
It’s also good for him to exprience new things since he said he really wanted to explore the world. Change of pace etc. Somehow It’s sad that he chose other path rather than continuing volleyball. Still, I hope he’s having fun right now. He deserves it.

Since we didn‘t see Noya yet, maybe he is still playing volleyball being one of the best Liberos to the table. Ushijima still being a nasty left handed canon, And all of that against Argentina and Oikawa.

I got caught up with the manga just after season 4.. it took me a long time and a lot of tears to let go of the original Karasuno team. The mix and match of the series’ players is a really good concept, I can’t wait to read more 🥺
when I was binge reading at first I was a bit upset when yeah went to hinata left, but then I was okay with it because he pretty much got a power up. But when I read I really want to see another "freak quick attack" and a crowd reaction

Before the match it was stated this is the final arc, not the final game. There’s always a big tournament to signal an arc in Haikyu aside from training. I think this is setting the stage for the Olympics so the Olympics is the final arc lol. Good video bruh
I usually view the matches as their own arc and the phase of each setting the story is in as a saga (Spring Interhigh Qualifiers, Nationals, Brazil, V-Leauge etc). Definitely still so much to still see and characters we've yet to encounter after the timeskip. Appreciate you for watching my man.

I see the last game being Karusono’s old hs team (when Daichi was captain) vs the current Karusono team. THe Author built up that squad soo much and it could be a nice passing of the torch game. They could still have olympics first but the karusono’s neighborhood assosciation team would be a threat and nostalgic to watch. Plus I feel like the legacy Kageyama left at karusono might have influenced the level of talent coming into Karusono post his graduation.

I think its obvious that we're headed for olympics with kageyama and hinata on japan team after this match. But Furudate already said that this is the final arc, and Kageyama is the last boss indeed. Hinata's goal has always been to become strong so that he will be the one to defeat Kageyama this time, and finally treat each other as equals. So imo, i dont see an olympic arc after this. But I would like an ending where Hinata and Kageyama enters the olympic stage as teammates in japan team. That would be a pretty satisfying conclusion. :)
As they enter the olympics, the panel shows Kageyama and Hinata's eyes hungry and focused for volleyball, then they look at each other. They finally take their steps to becoming the next aces of the world, representing Japan with other teammates of theirs including the players and close friends they had with in the past. From other places in the world, the other Karasuno, Date Tech, Seijoh, Shiratorizawa, Inarizaki, Johzenji, Nekoma and many more watch from their television, phones or whatever device they're using, smiling and recalling all the past times they had with each other, finally in a new chapter of their lives. They silently cheer them on. Kageyama and Hinata take a deep breath, looking behind htem to see the other members they have with them for the team of Japan. They smile and wave, nodding once as a reassurance to say they're here, and they will help them. Hinata says, "Kageyama." "What is it, dumbass?" "I never expected to reach this far. Especially with somebody like you." "What does that mean?" Hinata smiles, beaming at him. "Kageyama, make sure to give me a toss." Kageyama can't help but nod and also smile, nodding. "Okay." And that's how they conquer the world of volleyball, dominating each game with the people they have by their side, from the past, the present, and in the future they will continue to do so. {i tried making an ending myself hehe i think this is good enough i guess.}

Facts Laz, I feel like the olympics would be the perfect culmination for the series, even if it’s just some kind of flash forward and not a full fledged arc. One of the major themes of the story has been “reaching the top” and nothing encapsulates that more than reaching Olympic level. Hinata just being able to experience that view would be pretty fulfilling in my opinion.
Hopefully Furudate makes the dream come true 🙏🏻

Then they’re on the same Olympic national team (Japan) while also being on different professional teams (Hinata being on the Brazil team and Kageyama being on the Italy team). However, whenever the Olympic japan team will have a math they’ll play together

If he does have an Olympic arc, then I could imagine Oikawa having a choice of either trying to make the Japan team, or trying for Argentina's. If I'm not mistaken, I believe an Olympic roster is 12 people per nation. With Kageyama and Atsumu it might be hard to find a roster spot for Oikawa on Japan's team as a setter. But by the time the Olympics comes back around to Japan in Haikyuu's verse, Oikawa would have lived long enough in Argentina to apply for citizenship and play for that team(assuming he doesn't play for Japan's during that break). Logistically speaking, this is very much a possibility open to Furudate.
The entire character arc of Hinata this entire series was for him to beat Kageyama but they ended up on the same team. Now Hinata has that chance to get revenge for what happened in middle school and be the last person standing on the court

I agree with you. Especially how quick the game is being played in the manga at time I write this. We are already in set 3 with not much shown in set 2. Although I'm sceptic about the Olympics theory considering the coronavirus situation and how all sports competitions have been cancelled and/or postponed. He might do it regardless.

I sometimes wish most of the members of karasuno could at least compete one last time together in this last arc. I've been hooked on this anime the first time I watched it and same goes for the characters. Seeing them compete against each other ain't right I just hate seein them lose and then cry right after, to me everybody is a winner in this anime
I would love to watch an olympics arc but regardless of what you say I can't see this match ending by the time the olympics are happening irl, this match is for sure gonna be a b05 one because now we are in a pro setting and taking that into account i can't see it not lasting longer than any match in the series. However this doesn't mean that the olympics arc won't happen it could happen after the actual olympics are finished(It would be a shame if they didn't match with irl bui it happens, the arc could be goated regardless of timing). Other reasons to believe this are the conversation between Kageyama and Hinata at the beginning of the series, Motoya who we never saw play in an actual match come back after the timeskip as Division 1 player and of course Oikawa's words

Of course as a fan, I want to see more. I’m torn. The satisfying conclusion between with what started haikyuu and ending haikyuu, the fated conclusion between hinata and kageyama. This final match would more than satisfy as an ending for me. On the other hand, I want to see this play out into the olympics. I do agree that they’ve been hinting toward it all this time, with the commentary of the national coach.
Personally I hope that it ends after this BJ vs AD match and there is just a panel of some kid walking past the store where haikyuu began, Hinata is being covered on TV ( Maybe the Olympics :D ) and then the kid saids "I want to be the next Ninja Shoyo." Also finally after years of Hinata wanting a cool nickname he finally gets one. Imagine if the kid i was talking about was Hinata's or Tobio's son and he was named after the other just out of pure respect. This anime changed me. I bought my very first volleyball. Almost every evening. I went to the park just to have practice (alone sadly because my friends have no interest in volleyball). The only thing i get to do was practicing my receives alone and don settings alone and practice jump floats alone. I really believe if i had a volleyball partner then i can be a good player

Is anyone here after the celebration of the Haikyuu!! manga going on for 8 years and 19 days?? In case you haven’t heard, we’re getting a REAL LIFE V-LEAGUE COLLABORATION!!!! There’s even a picture with some famous volleyball players in the same poses as some official Haikyuu!! art. With the Tokyo Olympics coming in a few months as well, there’s no way this is all a coincidence!! I still remember when Furudate said they started writing this manga because they wanted more people to play volleyball, and now we’re getting actually players on an international scale involved!! I can only imagine how proud Furudate is right now :) tl;dr- Furudate is a genius
Some of you dont understand that many of the teams in high school had no intentions to go pro, they had fun, tried their best and developed respect for the game, but they moved on. For example: some people are upset nishinoya travelled around the world and didn't go pro, he obviously wanted to travel the world and if that's his passion, hes obviously happy.

Captain Tsubasa eventually had the cast take on the world with the world cup. It allowed for new type of dynamics, with even bigger stakes. I think this is the greatest strength of sport stories. There is a natural vertical progression that can happen and I think going to the Olympics will be the way to go

I'v seen a tweet on Twitter sometime ago that there will be an Olympics arc for it. Yuji Nishida and Ishikawa from the Japanese National Volleyball Team will be in it. I have not confirmed if it's already official or not though.
Props for those dope narration skills! I'm down for an Olympic arc! But I feel like it's been set to happen. True furudate did wonderful short matches with Nekoma and Fukorodani against each other and when they faced other teams! I need to know what type of team coach fuki wants. Doubt it will be filled with all the players we seen in high school. This current arc shows how much vets are need plus potentially undiscovered walk on talents or just low key players.
Yeah it really depends on the roster but I feel that most of them will make it, at least the upper echelon of characters. Can't wait to make the roster video sometime during Spring if all goes according to plan 🙏🏻

Furadate also said that after the 8th year or so of publication (idk the exact number but it's around 8-10) he'll start writing about the olympics, which is around now. Thus, there is a high chance that we'll get haikyuu olympics in some way or another. Maybe not in the main series, but there's still a chance to get a spin off or sub-series for the olympics.
There's an Olympics Theory that maybe furudate was speeding up this last arc and was aiming to launch the olympic arc in time for the tokyo olympics. Some support for this theory was how fast the adlers vs jackals game is going. Set 1 is only 7 chapters long (chap 380-386) & set 2 is only 3 chapters long (chap 387-389). Season 4 Spring inter high or the nationals arc by the way was aired in Jan 2020 which was also in time with the Spring Inter High Tournament championships in Japan
Do you think, is there any possibility that Oikawa is back on the V-League? I have a feeling thats the case with "I will beat all of you" leads to. And i have a feeling Takeda sensei quotes when Hinata have a fever will play a big part, either in this match or this season V-League, or even olympics.
I can see Oikawa being back but it depends on whos team he'd be on. If not, he's probably tearing it up in Argentina atm.

I think an Olympic arc would be really cool, especially with the introduction of Romero and his chapter last week, but I could also see it endings with this match. I’m hoping it doesn’t though. More than anything though, what I really want before the series ends is to see Hinata and Kageyama playing together again.

Imagine if the olympics become the final arc, they introduce other new characters from other countries! e.g. USA might have a 19 year old prodigy WS, or Brazil/France having the best aces in the world Might be the best arc in the manga if they play their cards right

I expect we'll see Olympics as a epilogue with a match against Brazil but not an arc, especially with the fact Hinata would have to be chosen over Ushijima now. The Idea that Heitor makes the Brazil national team in 2 years in a bit too ridiculous though, Brazil is one of the best teams in Volleyball and Heitor has only ever played Beach, it would be like Hinata making the Brazilian beach team in his 2 years playing it. Added onto that Heitor is father of a newborn so he'd have less time to train you're asking way too much to see him in the national team, but I wouldn't rule out him coming to Tokyo to watch the Olympics. It makes sense to me this is the final match of the series, it's unlikely Hinata would ever be a consistent starter while Barnes is around so using a match at the start of the league season makes sense you show Hinatas growth, him making the national team is likely solely through his quick adding an extra dimension to the attacks but he wouldn't be a starter over Ushijima so having a whole arc with Hinata on the bench is unlikely.
Well its a good thing I know the exact amount a team can have on their roster for a match so I still believe Hinatas chances are quite high. Otherwise there is no point in having Coach Fuki here if all hes doing is just complimenting him and thats it. Hinata has to make the team otherwise the whole timeskip and his training in Brazil would mean nothing. Also with Heitor, his parents played volleyball but it was never confirmed if it was indoors or beach. Right now he's doing it to make money and I'm certain Nice would allow him the chance to pursue at least giving it a go to see how he'd fare. Its literally just like with basketball with guys signing 10 day contracts to work their way into a full time deal. 20 months and even then, counting the time that has passed since March 2018 can still be enough time to pull it off imo. I'd be perfectly fine with it just being for the Gold Medal between Japan vs Brazil.
@@CommodoreLaz I'm not saying he won't make the squad but getting onto the team regularly over Ushijima wouldn't happen and they wouldn't have him start the gold medal match unless they have Ushijima get injured. I expect if he does make an appearance it would be late on in the final set where his speed would be more effective as the other team begins to tire, like how you use a super sub in football. With Heitor it's not just about him going pro, he could possibly do that in 2 years but getting onto the national team of the number 1 ranked team in the world, ie becoming one of the 20 best players in the world in that time? It's a stretch that I don't see Furudate wanting to go for, as he seems to never want to push the envelope of realism too far.
Josh Shercliff I think there’s something both of you are forgetting: there’s beach volleyball at the Olympics. So yes, Heitor can play the Olympic games, but in the beach volley category, I guess

Yeah that part still throws me for a loop since he should've been playing in the V League since he left Itachiyama. Might've meant prospect instead of rookie but I guess I'll have to wait for a databook or something later on

@@CommodoreLaz he was not playing in V LEAGUE. He was in university and played for university team. This year is his first as a pro.

Im actually guessing season 4 part 2 is Miya brothers vs karasuno, Nekoma vs the other team, then intro game between nekoma and karasuno, then season 5 will cover all nekoma and kamonedai gameplays, then Olympics will be made as a Movie, considering the length or chapters and stuff, i think Olympics will be a moview
