Love my 2011 Panamera Turbo. Hate all the screens in new cars, love all the buttons, love the build quality, but most of all the performance and the way the cars drives. Couldn’t care less what people think of the styling. Best car I’ve ever owned.
I have got the 4S version. There is only one problem with Panamera and that is once you own and drive one, you will not drive any other vehicle.

Great vid as ever Matt, I think you did the right thing with the bonnet. Leaving the stone chips as evidence of the mileage instead of re spraying. Makes the car look more honest and the customer can then decide to re paint it.
Hi Matt, you should be able to set the climate to come on at start up with the key button on the door, turn ignition on, turn on aircon, press key button to save, same for seat settings, radio stations etc. will all be saved to memory at start up, another great video btw.
For the stone chip issue, personally I'd take detailed photo's of paintwork condition pre-painting and tell potential clients how you had it resprayed for saleability. It's money they don't have to spend, so a selling point, but some "before" photo's would calm those nerves.

I wouldn't want it to be painted. It is no new car and nobody will think this model is new. The pleasure of buying a used Porsche is that you don't have to care as much about new stone chips.

Quite happy that people don’t like these cars - it accelerates the depreciation. Should be affordable in about a year’s time (either one of these or another 535d)
We've had 535s before our current Cayenne and 911 4S. BMWs are lifeless compared to Porsches.
Do not underestimate the running cost of a porsche. Mate of mine bought a 4.8 and his first service, at an independent dealer mind you, was 4000€ Add to that insanely high insurance costs and the thirst of the engine and you got yourself a nice bottomless pit to throw your money into. Cheap to buy =/= affordable.
Be careful if you are trying to roll with the "Big Boys". The "Big Boys" have big pockets, if you don't have one stay clear!!!
if u want to buy a decent "turbo 500 HP" with less than 75.000 km u need minimum 60k euro now, they started already to increase value...
@@leviathan5207 Have had them for 7 years without an issue. In the US my insurance is surprisingly cheap. As for repairs, compared to...Mercedes...BMW...Maserati...Ferrari?

I am one of the few who love the Panamera, its a cracking car, well made and has all the great quality of a premium Germany car. It is a nice not so pretty brute, and i just love it
I love your videos man! Discovered you few months back. My only advice (If it's worth anything) is get a better quality mic, because due to the noise from outside I can sometimes hardly hear you.
I would have carefully photographed the car before painting and then had the whole front and bonnet done. That way you show that it was not bent or rebuilt but has been refreshed…and it has done a lot of miles! A friend bought a one owner Mercedes CL500 with full, detailed, documented history and 205,000 miles..it needed a good clean and detail plus the transmission lever kept jamming due to a fractured plastic guide on top of the gearbox..but it was £1100 complete. That part was £42 but fitting it is utter misery and normally a gearbox out job but a weekend of naughty words and invention plus a full deep clean and refurbished wheels made it look and drive like new! He still has it six years later!!

Thanks for another cracking video Matt. Something very satisfying about seeing the before and afters. Actually love the look from the front end, the rear is a little cumbersome. I think you did mega for £1590, however I would have definitely painted the bonnet. I suppose you can use this as a negociating to the prospective buyer. Good luck with the sale of this beast.
Looks great! A colleague took my for a drive to a consultation the other day. He's had it for 3 years now and he is impressed. I was never a fan, but it impressed me on the 120km drive.
Great video. I initially hated the Panameras but soon fell in love. It's polarizing, but who cares what it looks like when you're in the driver's seat. I have a Panamera SA as my daily driver, and the combination of incredible sport and luxury just can't be beat. It's one that will stay in my stable forever, worth every penny and so much fun to drive. Add a VR Racing tune box for a lot more HP instantly, and it will blow your mind on a daily basis.

Me too, recall seeing it on top gear thinking how ugly, a couple of weeks later went to Italy on holiday and there was a Polish registered one parked in the hotel car park, I thought it looked rather stunning.
Its big...it has bulk presence especially side profile but its weird looking and ultimately ugly

Seen a few latley and talking to an owner recently,he raved about his and the fact not too many people like them,he said great I like to be different...he's ordered a new one...not jealous at all

I think you did the right thing leaving the bonnet considering it’s mileage - let the new owner decide plus it probably would have stood out if chips had remained on the bumper (unless that was fully repainted?) and wings. But if you had chosen to, surely some recent “before” pics would have allayed any prospective buyer’s fears of the fresh paint hiding anything more sinister? I’m not sure why more dealers don’t do this, as fresh paint always raises suspicion. Time and effort obviously a factor I’m sure.

completely agree with you. I think its a gorgeous car. Actually the one Porsche that I really find interesting. I nearly bought one 3 years ago. The interior is just stunning, and it drives beautifully. I also quite like the fact that it doesn't look like your normal Porsche.
Matthew, thanks for another great video. In terms of the bonnet, I would just get it done properly - you have the two videos and I'm sure many photos to demonstrate that you aren't trying to hide an accident repair...but saying that, it's a very, very cheap panamera, with a few miles on it...so maybe a few war wounds are an honest representation of the car at that age, price and mileage. Whoever gets it I'm sure you'll look after them no matter what. Cheers mate, looking forward to the next video

Great video, agree that touching up paint chips is the way in my humble opinion. The pros can do some great repairs on paintwork without respraying these days.
Another great and entertaining video, Matt. Personally, unless a car looks like a pig in knickers, I'm not that bothered about the exterior design. It's the interior that interests me: I spend a lot more time looking at the interior than the exterior. I've always admired the Panamera, even the early models.
I`m definitely with you on the looks, there really isn`t a good angle, love the interior! As for the paintwork? it`s not a new car by a long way so providing it`s well touched in, followed as you did by a buff and detail would be the way i`d always go, it keeps the car honest and looking "right for the age/mileage", someone looking for perfection is most likely looking for a low mileage car...
One saving grace. Fit a Techart wife body kit if you were to keeping it. It’s quite subtle for a wide arch kit. It helps incredibly with an overall better looking shape.
I really think part from the back it's a great looking car.
Well, I actually really like the shape. If I had £23000 I would make you an offer. The high mileage wouldn't bother me.

A friend has one of these and I admire it, sounds stunning. Someone else I know is buying a new one, albeit a hybrid. These are not silly people by any means. Tough to beat the pure quality.
Love my Panamera V6 2011 Hybrid, as you say build quality and interior styling helps to overlook its weird shape but I usually leave the rear spoiler up to break that drooping line at the rear. Happy days.

You were definitely right to not paint the bonnet. I had the bonnet of my old P38 repainted because the lacquer had started to peel, as I thought that it would massively de-value the car when I sold it. The new paint ended up being so much better than the rest of the paintwork, which was fine ; but the new buyer never saw the value in this expense and still tried to squabble every pound off that he could …. Sound familiar?

Had a loan of a new Panamera GTS for a few days when my 911 was getting serviced, absolutely loved it, but as I already had a company BMW 5 series I couldn’t justify buying one, even though back seat and boot space was fantastic for the family too!
I would have taken before and after pictures of the bonnet and had it painted. Great job bringing it back to how a Porsche should be.
Fix damage and touch-in the stone chips, I prefer a car that ‘stacks up’ not one that is ‘lip-sticked’ up to sell. Love the honesty of your vid’s. 👍🏻

I bought an early 4.8S with 82k on it about 15 months ago , not because I liked the looks but because it was cheap....I've now done 113k and I absolutely love it. Like you I thought I'd seen better things grazing and will run it until it goes bang as it drives so well...then I'll buy another!

Looks like a very good deal for you and a new buyer; I think I would overlook the high mileage, as a buyer, Porsches can wear it, and appreciate the high spec.

I think this is the only model of Porsche where they dropped the ball with the design. Yet years later they took this and made the stunning Taycan which isn't a million miles away in terms of looks but definitely an improvement. Having seen both in the flesh
Great, interesting video. Love the numberplate, just right for a Porker owner. I wish someone would fit that "sound" button on eg a Dacia Sandero, I bet playing with the exhaust valves it would be possible to make it sound similar...

i do like the Looks of the panamera but the rear isnt too good with that weird wiper,would recommend new Bosch aerotwin pront wiper blades since those are 2 pounds each in Tesco. Great job Matt :D

In Reference the paint quandary , originality is always king for discerning buyers but of course is always the stick they will try to batter the price down with . One answer is to photograph the stonechips before the repair which will satisfy most people if they bring up the issue , alternatively have a set price for both options . I think it depends on the car too ... run of the mill cars its better to just paint and be done with ... special stuff maybe do one the above ? .. one specific car is Lotus , with the problems with osmosis on the glass fibre many buyers are put off by any respraying as it could be covering serious issues rather than just stonechips .
Astonishing turnaround , and I know that it is a subjective thing but I think it looks and sounds gorgeous.
Another great video/review. I’ve recently purchased a 2012 Panamera with the 3lt diesel which as great performance, lovely interior/build quality coupled with 40 mpg around town and 50+ mpg on a motorway run, four seats and a massive boot. Ok it as got oddball looks from most angles but looking at it from the front and it looks awesome! I can see why you had to have the wheels refurbished I keep touching kerbs with mine it’s so dammed wide and hard to judge or is it just me? apart from that I’m loving it.
Im looking into buying a used 2010-13 Panamera as well. Have you had any major problems with the car? And do you think it’s quite reliable? Also what’s the mileage on your one if you don’t mind telling me?
Wise move on the initial procurement with the Rapide sat in your stock. I agree with your appraisal of its looks and admission you were seduced by the performance and ambiance of its interior. A lot of car for the money as we say. I’m tempted by one but not for it’s looks!

While I agree that the looks are challenging, the thing drives better (sportier) than any S class or 7 series. Plus, it's truly versatile with the hatchback design. It's a lot of car for the money. The car is so rare here in the states that it's very rare to see one on the road. I see more 911's turbo's than Panameras! I would guess you should be able to sell it pretty quickly.
Fascinating - let's hope it moves off the forecourt quickly.

My old boss had one and I remember thinking it wasn't all that bad. This one though isn't my favourite looking car, but have you seen the poverty spec early ones 🤮🤢.

It has been also been a phenomenal time for preowned sale but this month preowned sales seem to be cooling off. Seems like those that can buy have already ordered a new one or purchased a pre owned one and others are holding. How about you guys?
@@BenBrooksSellsCars that’s interesting. That’s exactly the same for us. We only sell used cars and it has been a very busy 24 months, but this month has slowed right down. In fact it’s my quietest month on record. There’s lots of instability at the moment with rising fuel prices, Ukraine, rising inflation etc… I think people are playing it safe. Hopefully next month will improve. All the best

I think you done the right thing by not painting the bonnet, those stone chips show that the car is honest and whoever buys it can get it painted if they wish and it saves you some wonga.
I would have painted the front and kept the bill with the car,showing by the painter why it was painted. If I were a buyer,I would see it as a positive.
I have mate in Germany has one.. He has done huge mileage in it. Over there they keep their Autobahn crunchers and put the miles on. 100,000 miles would be "Nil coma nix". It is a totally different idea. the build and drive quality motors and view them as work tools and by looking after them they return the investment.
Be prepared for the 16 hours of labor to do the engine mounts. I just did a Panamera in my shop the other week. It was an awful experience but I did get it done lol. Had to charge the guy like 4500.00 do to it. Had to almost completely drop the subframe for the drivers engine mount
An excellent 'after' video, Matt, which allows the viewer to share in your project dilemmas... I agree that I'd rather see the amended stone chips on the bonnet, rather than the respray job which would inevitably provoke anxiety about the original condition... Whilst I like much about the Panamera, albeit only the ones with the 'living room look' in cream leather and woody trim, I tend to feel it's a bit out of my class and potentially, very expensive to run as a daily drive... Maybe an older, diesel 3 litre in my 'style' could be attractive to me, despite the ungainly back end! 😀

Loving the Panamera Matt. Regarding the bonnet, if you leave it for now and give any potential customer the option to have it painted. Just remember to leave the cost in the budget. That way the customer gets full transparency and is being given the feeling of having a bargaining chip. I'll do the deal if you paint the bonnet, scenario. Winning with the below budget spends though. Very unlike you! 🤣

re stone chips use a mobile paint guy to sort them out, the guy i use does amazing blending in work. Funny im after a Panamera but a diesel one 👍
Bought a 2016 GTS 1 year ago, so the facelifted version. The front looks way more aggressive than the new generation GTS. I extended the porsche approved guarantee for another 2 years and now I don't have to think about the transmission or engine falling apart lol. I bought it at 91k km on it and currently I'm at 106k. And what can I tell you, the car didn't depreciate at all, in fact I could sell it for more now. Guess thats because of this amazing engine. My model was from the last year where these engines were built.
Like a good aspiring Mike brewer, you also swapped out the C15 RAT number plate and put it back to its original designation. A little bit of potential Cashback for that plate assuming someone wants it's
