You saved me time of rewatching this video to figure out the types of prompts I need to use on chatgpt.😅 Thank you.
Thanks for giving the samples of prompts

Thank you
Thank You
U R an amazing person!
Thank you. You became ChatGPT for us
Wow, thanks much for the summary 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thanks for being a dependable teacher, you re too good brother 🙏
This was great. I was struggling to get ChatGPT to suggest papers - it kept saying "I don't have direct access to external sources such as specific research papers or their citations." Using your prompts, I was able to get it to give me really good papers that I could read and build my knowledge of the topic I'm working on. I didn't realize how picky it is with the prompts you use, but now I'll know to think more carefully about what I'm asking and how I'm asking it. Thanks so much!
Thank you very much. I was having some difficulty finding a topic for my economics thesis, and this video has proven to be extremely helpful.
Thank you for providing an ethical pathway.
Thank you! I'm going to use it
This was very helpful. Thank you and god bless!
Thank you sir,...wonderful presentation
Awesome advice. Helps reduce the tedious work.
I asked ChatGPT to suggest 10 articles about the subject I was working on. It did it, including DOI...all of them were fake: it made up the titles of the articles and the DOI's!!!!!. Since then I dubbed it CheatGPT!
Hi, there is a high probability that the problem was your prompt. Make sure you are not prompting it to create references out of nowhere. You can find good prompts out there. Good Luck!
Yub, It will Always give you an answer but you have to check it. Once, I wNted to copy links of media files a drive folder. I had to copy them one by one so I thought why not to ask Bing chat to do it for me. I provided it with folder link, told it that there is 20 mp3 files in that folder, and asked to copy their links one by one. It gave me a message with 20 drive links but all are fabricated😂
@@russiel2837 No, the prompt was correct. I was exploring the subject. The search was broad enough. I prefer to do my own research with no "help" of IA, thank you!
Got it. Hey, I don't know if you're still following this thread, but I have a quick question. For my paper, I used GPT-4, which is the paid service of OpenAI, and I was wondering if that may be the reason. In my case, I asked it to identify the line it used to paraphrase or quote, and everything was accurate. Did you use the free version or Bing?
I used both bing chat and GPT 3.5 (the free version). Some times bing chat give accurate links ( to some extent). However, it fabricated a lot of links, too. Free GPT never gave me accurate links.
Great video! These tips for using ChatGPT to write research papers ethically in 2023 are really helpful. I'll definitely check out the strategy session to learn more. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you. Quite insightful
Great video! Thanks!
Tell it to analyze reference material, use in-citations and add your own observations.
This is superp and quite informative. I have been missing alot
Great idea!
Good and useful video for all researcher
A very useful video. Thanks
thank you sir
thank you
its very much beneficial for me😊thanks Alot
Useful Sir
Awesome!!
I have found out how to get references in various formats including Chicago and APA. It's all in the prompts.
ChatGPT gave me a great looking list of research papers I should read. The only problem is that none of them exist.
What prompt did you use? Garbage in, garbage out.
Thanks for the information. Which device is best to use? Phone or laptop?
I like your presentation
16:08 Reclaiming the Local in Language Policy and Practice was published by Routledge but not it 2019. It was in 2005. I found ChatGPT tends to do this AI hallucination and makeup information when asked about recent info. Just double check to be safe.
Impressive
yp, definitely beneficial...
Good and useful
You need to do this video again but using the chatGPT plugins
Wow, you have been suggested. 🎉
Thank you once again Dr Omole on KZhead for this information. Since following you (for some years now), my kidney stage results has decrease from stage 3 to stage 1. You saved me from dialysis. Thank you and please keep the videos coming!! God Bless.
Graeter's job sir
Its good to use. But what we do about references? As Scientific papers demand reference of every sentence.
Handreds thanks to you 😊
Hello Doctor. I will like to ask you what application you use to record this tutorial/video and what software you use to edit the video. I will greatly appreciate it. Thank you
Hi, It's a good video. Can you please make a video on 'plagiarism' while using ChatGPT? Thanks
what application are you using when recording this content? THanks
GUD GOOD
man fk chatgpt. You are a saint. Fking love ya! I was lost and overwhelmed af. Now at least I know how to start. Bless you man.
Thanks Professor.
Interesting! Please the link?
This is partially true. I have used it to find some publications. Almost all of them were false references. I wasted half an hour with it.
can u help me in making my framework
Great. Now the unethical version please!
😂
Regarding the analysis of the article draft , I personally wrote it, but I used AI tools to enhance the writing quality. Unfortunately, the AI detector flagged 15% of the content as AI-generated, even though it only reshaped some of my work. I'm unsure how to proceed. Is a 15% AI-generated content acceptable for journals? Thank you for sharing your valuable expertise in language education and corpus-based instruction.
Is it ethically good to use a gpt's for research academia??
Is Chatgpt recommended to writing a dissertation please?
I wanted to know like you suggested that if we upload abstract in chatgpt for the title .. it starts coming as plagiarized later on .. what is the solution for it ??
How can I get references
Titles are a good one
Good video very useful, I feel supported to know that someone from the academy also sees the use of chat gpt as a tool. I use it a lot to review research objectives and propose specific associated objectives, in addition to developing search equations with specific semantics for each database, say scopus, wos or pubmed that saves me a lot of work. I also have other strategies that I have been discovering that go beyond asking the AI to write a certain number of paragraphs, I think it still does not have enough awareness of the most current evidence and therefore in that aspect it is not reliable, but it is very useful to correct the wording and structure the text before developing it. Thank you very much
Exactly, it just generate titles to get you a response. Weather the article exist or not
Hello can you share other helpful information or strategies that’s been helpful in your research
Greetings. Can someone please explain how to get a CHATGPT application?
Some of the citation that chatgpt provide are not always correct. So, cross verify before using it in your manuscript.
I checked two of the references in the content creator's video above. One (the study which he claimed authorship of) I couldn't find evidence of anywhere on the web. The other (the Canagarajah 2019 source) is an actual book by Canagarajah, but it was published in 2005, not 2019. Definitely do your own lit review. ChatGPT hallucinates.
How i can make it ethically?
How should. I feed the chatGPT with my own ideas and work !? Is that secured and safe ?
Greetings. Can someone please explain how to get a CHATGPT application?
Some publications do not exist on Google Scholar, etc, which Chatgpt provide
The references mostly can not be opened/there is no link to the sources/it's hard to find when reversed, so it's a no no when professors try to find he sources
How to access invalid countries, please?
When you ask chatgpt to suggest article for writing review it will only give you fictional articles or names, it dose not have direct access to those things
Exactly
How about Bard?
@@ronamaeatam-nm3cdneither, you can try to use elicit (preferably both versions of elicit, the old one and the new one), research rabbit, humata and scispace though.
I am not yet convinced with ChatGPT, there is a lot of hype as billions of dollars have been spent. I like the old fashion way of doing things which although time-consuming, has to be my ideas on how things can be interpreted by critically examing what I am looking for. In that way, I tend to learn a lot and become an expert. I have also a problem with what references ChatGPT uses, they are substandard and not of high-quality references.
Isnt it a bit risky to send our abstracts etc. to cha t gbt now that it is an ai and can use it somewhere else?I am just asking as I really dont know
Never do it
Great Video until the introduction. You are still using the same chat that you discussed the research gaps. So it works with this former informations. Once you start the paper you would need to take a new chat window. For the introduction itself you would need to find 4 topics for 4 paragraphs. Than iterate on each with more text.
Cool😂
💗
Are you allowed to use the wording that chat gpt produces ? Isn't that considered plagiarism ??
Scite and Jenni are also useful ai tools. Tailored specifically at research
Are they available on Google play store?
They're websites and also just go look them up @@nahambohilma8598
Congratulations, also for your fantastically good pronunciation. I suppose you teach English for foreigners. Do your have any course perhaps?
Thanks! I specialise in helping PhD students and researchers write research papers for high-impact journals. You can find out more here: academicenglishnow.com
Thanks for the review, although I wish to remind you that it can also generate references on the sources of the information provided. I have use it so am not just saying it.
How? plz explain the process
Please explain further
Reference is simply stating the sources of the information provided. People often say that chatGPT cannot provide the reference of the information provided, this was also stated in the video but I tried to call the attention of the content creator that chatGPT can provide it.
You can even tell it to present the reference in APA format and you will get a perfect result.
@@SSStoriesworld sorry for late response
This with the paid or free version of chatgpt?
The content GPT provides cannot be trusted blindly as that needs a strong proofread. Second, the references it provides is absolutely wrong
Can we catch someone if somebody has put the ChatGPT paragrahps in the assignment?
Would GPT 4 be better now?
I appreciate the effort you've put into creating content that caters to everyone. #NurserytoVarsity
I will be helping some one to write a PhD thesis
Can we use chatgbt to proofread text in english language.
I proofread and also provide a Turnitin plagiarism report for your assignment if that's something in which you'd be interested. I make the relevant edits if you wish...or do actual research essays without the use of AI as well. HMU ✌️
@@GhostwritersBay-assignments I have access to Turnitin. However, since I am not an English native speaker, proofreading texts is very challenging.
Papers in-hight impact journaLish as scienfie paper demand refrens
Omg really
What about plagiarism through chatgpt?
You didn’t mention how to avoid copy righted material and plagiarism. For that one has to use plug in tools.
How to avoid plagiarism? Plz help.. I need dissertation in masters
like,like,like,like,like
What should i do I use it to proofreading 😢😢.
love your accent..and looking good btw :P
I don’t think it works for medical abstracts and research articles 😅😅😅😅
Hey you. Let me know if you need help with your assignments.
I need help with my reseach proposal draft
I find it intreasting watching all these videos, I've noticed a reoccurring theme of the videos being targeted at Phd students, meanwhile I've just finished my first year of undergrad loool🤣😅
ChatGPT is only appropriate for writing that is entirely text-based. When it provides incredibly erroneous responses to questions pertaining to math and science, it is highly time-consuming and irritating. May be helpful for logically and succinctly structuring the text-based introduction. Just be careful with Mathematical notations and logical operations. One more thing: Whatever we feed ChatGPT will remember and get wiser as we ask more questions. However, ChatGPT will choose your sincere research proposal. Your "own" idea or the idea you got from AI might be passed on to other users. Since ChatGPT offers something each time, we certainly appreciate it.
Why not use the Undetectable AI to paraphrase your essays
Question: if I feed my own writing to Chatgpt to generate titles, and I get inspiration from multiple suggestions to write my own title. So nothing is actually technically written by Chatgpt, would the fact that I fed my own writing to program get it flagged? Would the act itself save it somewhere before I have published it or so? I have received a yes and no without a source or confirmation to which answer is actually correct. Can someone help please?
Don’t put your things inside it be careful
@@femeena can you elaborate? Be careful of what? I am only asking because it is a powerful tool and it would be ridiculous to ignore it completely out of vague fear. Any specific problems you think a researcher should be aware of?
@@danayaseen647 Yes, if you are working on something unique and you share it with chatgpt that’s dangerous… and you use something come out of chatgpt since chatgpt gives lot of blunders right now…so let me conclude if you are doing something serious you must not use chatgpt but you may take some guidance if you sure about out put other than that it is dangerous since it’s easy to catch what chatgpt is given and it is also in its preliminary state
why it is considered unethical to write something u know with a better English using chatgpt
1. Is chartGPT a hack application? 2. Can professors know you copy (plagiarism) when you use chart GPT?
Turnitin has an AI detector that shows the % of AI written content
I cannot see your free course
I don't have a free course
Not always it appears the correct literature and author. Sometimes author or article never exist. So don't belive in chatgpt. Manual reading is rhe best and have impact even it is slow.
What about plagiarism???
Idk how this video was recommended for me!! Old topic already. Why people are repeating others in youtube? You also pretend that you don't subscribe to chatgpt by showing us your second account.
