This video is great!!! It exposed my reasons why i waste so much time sesrching and reading and reading the next and then i read a few articles and forgetting what i read....im now lost though in 30+ opened article tabs 🤯
I wish i had you as my professor...
It was a very good session,🥰🥰 I learned a lot which I would have learned very late in my PhD journey 🥰
This is awesome! I have learned a lot in this session. Keep up the good work!
So insightful! You really know your stuff.
Perfection! Brief & to-the-point! Priceless for starting phd students and researchers!
This was extremely helpful. It can be daunting to learn all of these but you broke the steps in a non-complicated fashion.
I have learned soo much.... especially "SO WHAT!"
Great .. off to write mine and will be watching more of your videos 👍
So happy to be here!
Amazing video! Thank you ❤

"Right!"
I like it.
It seems silly now, but I hadn't considered the purpose of the literature review to be finding the gap.
Same here! Such an enlightenment, I was summarizing stuff 😢
@@zuheylaizin1668 😂😂😂😂
I mean, I only realized that you should do the literature review before writing chapter 1 one of the research a few days ago so you're not alone.
Thanks so much Marek for this eye opening session

Should everything we read form part of literature review ?
A great idea for a video would be to explain the difference of structure between a literature review for a thesis and one for a research paper. Also it would be great to touch on how to handle the discussion and the introduction without being redundant given that the review paper is about the literature itself.
Thanks for the ideas! Not exactly about the structure, but I do have one video about a systematic review: kzhead.info/sun/mbiiqdiui6eahHk/bejne.html
@@AcademicEnglishNow Thank you for the reply Dr. One quick question. Do you think that IMRAD structure still applies for narrative literature review papers?
Databases AND search engine
Great content! This was a valuable review and update on what I learned during my doctoral study and in producing research papers for years. Unfortunately, I had to move away from the screen and just listen because the frequent zoom-in and zoom-outs were giving me motion sickness. Anyone who suffers from migraines might feel the same way. Just a suggestion - if you want to change the video to make it visually more interesting, you could film yourself from two different angles and switch angles every few minutes (not every few seconds).
Thanks for the tip. And sorry the editing bothered you
Your information is helpful. Unfortunately, I had to stop watching because the repeated zoom-in and zoom-out made me nauseous. I`ve got no problem with adding clips from other video sources. I wonder if other people were affected by the constant zooming in/out motions? I used to get motion sickness as a child and that was linked to migraines.
Sorry to hear that! I'll tell my video editor to do less of this
KINDLY GIVE US AN EXAMPLE OF HOW YOU CAN ANSWER SO WHAT QUESTION....
How does this work if you instead go to the end of an article and look at "future recommendations for research"? How would you work backwards and then find sources?
This would work for finding the research gap and your aim. And then you can follow the same process as in this video for finding sources etc
Thank s. Another quick question: Have you ever heard of a literature review as being three groups of researchers that disagree with each other about an issue? My program came up with this idea and years later it still makes zero sense. Thanks!
Pyramid inverted
Are the 'keywords' put in quotation and then separated by operators as one searches
That's likely to depend on the database you're searching. I think some might have slightly different rules
Thank you

I want the name of the master
Which master?
grateful for the video !!! 😍 I have made all the mistakes mentioned, 5 months into the research at least it's getting clearer thank you for your work
I think you just saved my life !🥲
