Hey Joe. I'm sad you've gone silent. I love your videos for the banter and the education. Without them, it falls toward the other ASMR content that I pass right over. I play videos in the background while to do my daily tasks and your lack of audio saddens me. I know the world has gotten you down. There is always a fight to be had against one wrong or another; one disease or another... if we all fell silent in protest, who will be our champions? Find your voice. Some of us need to hear it

Yes indeed this war is very lopsided. Palestine democratically elected Hammas. They turned out to be something different than expected. If Hammas released ALL the hostages immediately then im sure peace negotiations would begin straight away. Why dont they do that? Its beyond my comprehension to be honest.

I once took apart a cheap pocket watch when I was about 10. Never advanced beyond that.
Respect your protest and your silence speaks volumes but I think your gentle wit and wisdom is greater. Nature, it is said, abhors a vacuum, so if we are silent, that silence will be filled by voices with less good intent than ours. The resto, was excellent considering the crust you started with. Best to you and your family.

Joe, may the timeless dove of peace shine down on you, your family and loved ones, and ours as well. Especially thinking of all those immersed in tragedy and loss, who are in desperate need whilst suffering incalculable grief and pain. I write that as just an ordinary ex-military bloke who spent a year in Bosnia at the height of the terrible conflict and dealt with tragedy every single day. Judging by the comments here, I feel we much appreciate your silent mark of respect for humanity, and our sadness for inhumanity. You deal with time, which thanks to your skills, is easy to measure, but impossible to retrieve. But let's all metaphorically click that hacking lever, pause time and dwell on the consequences of our actions, the immense suffering they may cause, and our crying need for that dove of peace with the olive twig in its beak to bring hope. Tempus fugit, so we must not waste it. Thank you Joe for helping us reflect, and for breathing life, beauty and dignity back into that battered old Oris. 🙏 🤲 🤗
Quite a dramatic improvement to the case with the nickel plating and the polishing. The case looks brand new.

Beautiful timepiece, I grew up wearing similar watches but made by Timex, always liked watches with black faces,luminous dials and numerals, and a leather strap.as a teen in the 70's I loved wearing mine.

That watch tells a story of a previous owner who fell upon hard times but still held on to it rather than pawning it. Makes you wonder how he got it and what it meant to him.

No watch is truly waterproof.
A lot of watches are truly waterproof. Omega Seamaster, Rolex Submariner, Seiko dive watches etc etc

O yes they are. My seamaster can stand water up to 1000 feet. I’ve never been that deep by the way.
