  • This is why Dana is Dana and Dana is actually great. I get tired of the haters. He had every opportunity to slam dunk Rockhold, and instead he put him over, emphasized that he is very much for "free speech", an important concept that the left in this country seems to devalue, and he commended his warriors for what they did in comparison to the rest of us "normal humans". Dana White is an exemplary president, this company WILL NOT be the same when he's gone.

  • Tired of all the "Lucky Kick" comments. Edwards stood with Usman for 5 rounds, and to me that last minute head kick is more impressive than a first minute head kick knockout. Edwards was exhausted and that head kick was set up and timed perfectly. All the talk about "Usman was winning that fight", and yeah that was true, he was winning until he lost. That happens all the time in fights, one fighter is getting the best of the other and then I guess they get "Lucky punches" when the knock their opponent out? Leon earned that belt, dont try and minimize it. Usman to the Ghost Realm! Sheeeeee!

    • Agree, if people watch it back he tried that same combo a few times and Usman should know it's part of his style, he does it nearly every fight. Like anything like that, that move of throwing the punch out there to disguise the big high kicks is kickboxing 101 & as Leon says, he has a side-to-side boxer style, that a good kickboxer will be onto big time, surprised a fighter hasn't figured it out before but probably that shows how hard it is and it takes 100s of hours of drilling it down. Like you say it's like saying when Cruz got KOd by Chico was that a lucky kick?, was holly holmes ko of Rousey lucky, was Cro Cops multiple left high kicks lucky back in the day, no it's their strength just like wrestlers and BJJ guys. By the way, Wembley seating is just about covered so all they need is a big covered centrepiece it wouldn't be bad, but it would be cold and the rains unpredictable. Either that or the 2 hours by car from Birmingham is Cardiff's Principality stadium with retractable in Wales, which is a bit closer to Birmingham than London but Dana wouldn't know that and I tell you with Birmingham being 2nd biggest City in Britain at well over 2 million they'd pack the place, as well all his fans from all over Britain, Renegade gyms always being a popular gym. If this was winter it would be awesome could have it anytime from may.

  • Vince McMahon couldn’t write something better than this. You got two guys who 7 years ago fought one another. One went on to become a dominate champion. While the other, who while successful was heavily under looked from his flashier, more popular counterparts (Masvidal, Covington). He fights and claws his way to a title shot, with his last fight being the most humiliating. As he was almost flashed KOed out by Nate Diaz in the last minute. While Usman, with every increasing win, becomes more famous and feared. Making highlight reels out of highlight reel fighters (got karma on knocking out Masvidal, who knocked out Askren), beat the brakes of his former teammate Burns and his arch rival Covington. And was on track to break Anderson Silvas record while getting a huge acting role in the Black Panther. Dude was going Hollywood. The entire fight Usman smothers Edwards, with Usmans side constantly reassuring him, “You’re doing incredible.” While Edwards team is endlessly pleading for him to step it up and not squander 7 years of hard work. As the fight progresses Edwards noticeably loses confidence, not making eye contact with his team as Usman continues smothering him with pressure. Even the damn commentary team claims it would be a moral victory for Edwards if he DOESN’T get knocked out by Usman, let alone win the title. The irony is Edwards finished the fight similarly to how Diaz almost finished him in his previous encounter (last minute, back against the wall, a clean hit to the head). While Usman who has been on the laughing end of the jokes for most of his fights, now finds himself in the same position as Masvidal. Knocked out, and back at the bottom of the totem pole. With Leon Edwards literally celebrating to the Rocky theme as he heads to the back. Surreal.

      @otallono@otallono Жыл бұрын
    • @@otallono no, it wont, Nunes is a lot more skilled than Pena ever was, while here you have a different story. Leon is more skilled than Usman in various departments and he was losing due to his conditioning mostly (and high altitude location could have contributed to that). Plus Usman is not young and got viciously knocked out, people don't easily come back from such fights so I would give Leon better odds next time they fight in England

  • For as much as Dana does these, kudos to how well he still does them. Respectfully, patient, willing to talk on past the questions and joke around. Obviously sticks it to these reporters sometimes as he should, and can come off like an a**hole.....but they need a reality check from time to time like us all.

  • Usman did 2 mistakes and on first he got his back taken and controlled and on second he got knocked out. Leon did so many mistakes, but Usman does not have that finish from any position style, he will rather stamp your toes that already showed over several fights that does nothing to trained athletes, its just point picking. Also wtf with fake eye poke and low blow? That wasnt the first time

    • That fake low blow is what got him KO’d, it gave Leon extra time to get energy for that KO kick , also Usman coach for pushing him into striking more even though he was up 3-4 rounds

    • Saying Usman can’t finish fights is hysterical. That’s Colby who can’t. Usman just is a wrestler who fell in love with his hands. Lowkey what fucked him was Herb standing them up with 2 minutes left. Herb was letting them stand for the last round for more action. And that’s exactly what we got.
