Jorah in the books is not only a veteran of two wars (Robbert's rebellion and the Greyjoy's rebellion,), but also described as an admirable swordsman by the Dothraki, who obviously don't compliment anyone easily, given their nature as fierce warriors themselves. He also drew against Jaime Lannister (not great, but definitely very good jouster) after breaking 18 lances against him (One could argue, that jousting is not a true testament to a man's combat prowess tho, but it still showcases his horse riding ability and his determination to be the best). So this scene shows us one rusty, out of shape Jorah. These slaves would have had their asses handed to them, if he was in his prime. Dany doesn't kill needlessly (until season 8 episode 5). She doesn't kill for the sake of killing. Everyone she executes either betrayed her, attempted to kill her or an ally, or was too much of a threat. Every single battle she's involved with, before kings landing, she gives specific orders NOT to harm civilians. Even when she has defeated enemies in front of her, she gives them a chance to join her forces. She detests the arena cause it's killing for sport, it's killing needlessly, even if the men involved are volunteers it's still just blood for the sake of entertainment. The way she sees it, if you're going to kill, kill cause the other person has given you no other option, kill when it's the safer option. Traitors can't be trusted, an attempt at killing Daenerys is a personal attack and may be attempted again, people with the power to undermine her, who have showed their willingness to exercise their power, are dangerous. She is Ruthless but she isn't cruel. And that's what bothered so many people about the sacking of King's Landing. The city surrendered, it was completely unnecessary, and it was completely out of character for Daenerys kill simply cause she was angry and not because of the rules listed above. I could see her executing Cersei, I could see Cersei's execution even being brutal, but I can't see Daenerys wanting to murder surrendered soldiers and civilians simply because...she's angry.

The gift got Khaleesi into every wrong strategy. Before getting her killed. He negotiated with the masters and the masters attacked Mareen. everyone tend to forget he was the one who planed the attack of the allies. All allies ended up captived and Castely rock was a distraction that got her navy armada so harm. People also forget he planned to go beyond the wall to get one of the zombies to speak with Cercei after. He was the one who said that Cercei will collaborate with the great war. He betrayed Varys, his best friend who saved his life. He convinced John of killing Danny because his brother and sisters were killed. but then did not defend John properly. The gift is one of the worse line of characters in the show.

@omaririgoyen1234 he didnt make dany slaughter an entire army of surrendering soldiers and a city of a half a million innocent men women and children because the other evil queen killed 1 of her friends. I'm sure his brother and sister had a little to do with it. But he literally said: I freed my brother. And you slaughtered a city. He was more heartbroken over the city being slaughtered.

Otantik JP And all the while Jorah is pounding the others into the dirt, she is staring at him intently as though this was all new and thrilling. It is just not plausible. No other character in the series wears that type of wristguard (with brass knobs and leather straps that wrap around the palm of hand). I've been curious about those. Haven't seen that design anywhere else in fiction or the whole wide world. His dragon epaulets and bear sigil breastplate were lost with the sailboat. He still has the right armguard. He wasn't wearing the left so the storyline would have an excuse to give him greyscale. He's been wearing that same shirt since Season One, since Vaes Dothraki. You would think after looting Qarth, Astapor, Yunkai and buying a new wardrobe, she would make sure her "most trusted advisor, most valued general, and dearest friend" was rewarded with the latest thing in armor, or at least a second shirt for laundry day.
@valkyriesardo2789 жыл бұрын

Otantik JP A little dirt just adds to his charm. The shirt is just a perfect example of how ridiculous she has become over the seasons, most particularly toward Jorah. Lets vote him a pretty lady who is long overdue for a good man. I vote Sansa Stark.....AND she can sew!!! A magic cure. A return to House Mormont. and then they can hatch a bunch of wee blue-eyed bairns, much cuter than baby dragons. If the first born looks more like a Bolton, he'd love him just the same.

1:49 "What is that look? Do I have something in my hair?"
Ah yes when the show was good
Season 5 was good but it was definitely the beginning of the end
She really did go bonkers
This couldve been a whole different ending if that big fucker that freed Tyrion came out lmao
GODS the show was strong then
Nvm john snow, Jorah is hot af
And this is the moment that it all went to shit for Dany and this show.
The gift got Khaleesi killed, and the friend stood by khaleesi till he saw her safe. Irony
She lost it and did that herself. She did exactly what the Mad king had planned to do. But worse. Tyrion knew she had to go after she slaughtered the city. I'm sure his brother and sister had a little to do with it. But he literally said: I freed my brother. And you slaughtered a city. He was more heartbroken over the city being slaughtered.
Jorah and grey worm, if she knew she’d never have trusted anyone else
See Jorah Simpmont
Jorah probably the first simp
Him and Dany should've ended up together fight me lmao
Even this is one of the better scenes later in the show and its still stupid.
First instance of Batman
Who brings the smallest gift to the party?!
Everyone who makes a dwarf joke thinks he's the first one to make it -Tyrion Lannister
Poor guy. He was as friend-zoned as a man can get.
How does a thick chain get broken by someone hitting it lol?
Depends on a lot of factors, like how brittle the iron is.
And ask he was filing it down making it weaker
Old iron breaks. That's why steel was such a big deal.
Poor quality iron at the time that rusted?
If brute force doesn't work, you're just not using enough.
You can see that the actual stuntman is way younger. Not well done
When it was the BEST show .... alas
I am maximus
its incredible how lazy the producers become at this point, this is a literaly gladiator moment but the fight was boring, the dialogue consists of boring one liners
How does she NOT recognize Jorah after he steps into the ring in the way he moves. He is wearing his usual clothing and the helmet is no disquise. The actress shows little to no reaction. Following the lack of any visible response, she orders him hauled away. The scene makes no sense to me. I don't understand what it is intended to convery. Is she a robot?
Valkyrie Sardo True. As soon as he entered the arena I thought that she'd instantly recognize him because of the reasons you stated. She better get nicer to him! >> Poor Jorah.
Hahah you're totally right, that's pretty much all I've ever seen him wear. He might be smelly but he sure looks damn good. ;-) Also I hope his greyscale gets healed, I want him safe.
But she does notice him though lol
It's just poor writing that allows for Jorah, who has been banished, to return in front of the one that banished him, more than once, and not be summarily executed.
Poor bastard
Complete fool for not making him her King
You cant change it when you dont have feelings for someone
@@yanami1241 that is true though
The dialogues are pure trash.
Earning a womans approval.... 🤣🤣🤣
The most pathetic character in the show. Sir simp aka captain friendzone.
Oh look at this, a shit user talking shit about a show, yet i bet you have not done shit with your life, let alone get paid like they do. Shut up.
