    @dankallish5998@dankallish5998Ай бұрын
    • If he's the coach on this team that explains a lot. Go check how this game became what it did instead of being an easy blowout. The 'top line' that everyone loves so much even tho they're now tied 4-4 after 2 games together had a bad turnover (from Raymond), then w the Leafs going back the other way on a rush, Cat and Larkin went to change. Perron Compher Kane, by far the slowest line on the team, jumped on the ice and were chasing a rush that had already gone by them, and took a minus on it bc of the selfishness, sloppiness, laziness, arrogance of the top line. That play flipped the whole game.

There was no odd man rush, it was the end of the shift, it was the correct change, there were 2 defenseman back Robertson just snipped it through the d man, good goal, there was no way Larkin or Raymond were going to get back in the play, watch the replay bud.

      @bradmaguire9611@bradmaguire9611Ай бұрын
    • I also disagree with this. I think each goal had it's own issues. A bad position from Reimer for the first, second was a really bad change we got caught on, and we gave too many PPs Kane got undisciplined with his stick. Team effort, team win here on this one.

When given the chance, they are really fighting for their life and showing the world they belong in the Playoffs. They really played Toronto tough. Wings just need to figure out their defense. If they do this team will be a big threat.

    @theslimshow39@theslimshow39Ай бұрын
    • I want to see the Red Wings make the playoffs too. You can tell Larkin doesn't want to wait another year to make the playoffs. I don't think this team is any threat at all to knock off a top seed. You can steal a series if you have great defense and goaltending. This team has neither.

  • There was a guy in one of the various red wings highlights from the Pittsburgh game who scoffed at another comment which said that Raymond was our own "lil' datsyuk". While I would tend to agree that there's a marked difference, that little deceptive motion he made at 2:01 like he was gonna shoot the puck that got the defenseman to leave the lane to Debrincat wide open was *very* datsyuk-esque. Incredible stuff from #23 as always, what a thrill it is to have this guy on our roster.

    @icedo1013@icedo1013Ай бұрын
    • Raymond a great talent but he’s no Datsyuk. Datsyuk was really more of a playmaker and was even a better defencemen. Raymond is a scorer and he’s going to do a lot of it! Good pass though

    • you have misidentified the mini-Datsyuk on the roster.

    • @@grayhudson1095 it wasn't my identification, and I even acquiesced that Raymond really isn't a true comparable in the comment you read. However, I can't deny that Datsyuk was the primary firsthand source from which the Holy Book of Deception was written, and it looked to me that Raymond pulled a couple sentences from that book last night on that pass.

    @paulmartin6209@paulmartin6209Ай бұрын
    • If we win both games, we're in even if the caps go 1-0-1. All they need to do is drop one single point; we have a game in hand over Philly with the same points and we're ahead of Pittsburgh by one with the same number of games to go. For as majorly scuffed as everything has been this past month, when your path is "Win two games against Montreal and hope Boston shows up against the Capitals" it feels more attainable than ever to this point. LGRW!!!

Wash and Philly play against each other so one of them has a guaranteed 89 points. Because of that Detroit needs at least 3 points in the final two games. If Wash gets 4 points in their remaining games then Detroit is out unless NYI goes pointless in their remaining 2 games.

My desire was that they were a more enjoyable team to watch and they have certainly been that for much of the season. Their poor play in December and March really made these last few weeks a challenge.

I'm fine being patient for this Stanley Cup window to open up, but if we miss the playoffs again next year because of shoddy goaltending things are gonna get really heated among the Red Wings organization, let alone the fanbase.

  • saucer pass w shooting motion right onto the stick. Dylan barely had to move a muscle. much better than Lalonde deserved after what he's done to 88 here. but he just couldn't help himself, in the end even tho he was at times literally trying to throw this game to spite the coach he now bitterly hates, Kane will be Kane.

    • The third felt a lot more even tbh. Wings had some good chances, and Samsonov stood on his head against that shot from Raymond to keep the game tied.
