In this video, I will show full preservation of the German Helmet M35 size 64 from the World War II. This helmet has been in the ground for 78 years. As a result of the restoration, the original paint and the color of the helmet were preserved.
No propaganda and extremism. Only history!
The demonstration of Nazi symbols in my videos is not propaganda of fascism, Nazism, etc. They are demonstrated exclusively for historical and scientific purposes.

Thanks for viewing!
Love how you preserve history instead of trying to make it brand new
This Is a proper conservation unlike those who just remove all original details and just give it new everything until its basically a new helmet. This helmet looks great. The only thing I would say which I know would take a lot more time only for a small detail, but trying to preserve what is left of the lining and trying to reinstall it would have been amazing. Other than that very impressive work especially on managing to preserve original paint.
Corrosion must be removed. 🙌
Well i wouldnt repaint this either, even a little speck of original paint makes the helmets price skyrocket and these are already expensive enough
Hello from Russia, the city of Eagle , I also like to search for this kind of things of the 2nd World War in my area , and then bring them into a good look if the condition allows , I also collect 7.92 casings by manufacturers of factories , I want to say a great job ! You have preserved the old oskras and even preserved it, definitely like it, I love military history and therefore it was always important for me not to translate into a new look, but to clean up to the extent as in the video to preserve the old color of those things is worth a lot, I am delighted to finally find a normal restorer who respects history and treats she is in awe, I haven't seen this yet, everyone usually tries to make absolutely new things out of these things, but it can't be because they belong in a museum and they are more than 80 years old! It is especially upsetting when the preserved factory color is removed by some regular restovrator who wants these things to shine and shine
That's an amazingly well-preserved helmet.
It was awesome you preserved as much of the original paint. Kudos to you and thanks for preserving history.
Ficou perfeito, parabéns 👏👏👏👏. Saudações do Brasil. From Brazil.
You did the best that could be made of the helmet. A real original helmet. Greetings from Germany Torsten
Very nicely done! I preserved a Hetzer track link a few days ago. It's very important we preserve as much History as we can!😃
Excellent work as per usual. Looks fantastic.
I'm surprised there was any original paint left for you to preserve.
Stunning as always. Keep up the great work!!!
The ground you live on/near really is gentle with these helmets would love to see you try this with helmets found in western europe! they're (often) unrestoreable
Excellent conservation skills, as we have come to expect from your channel.
Very interesting restauration video--thanks from Germany ! I would use saftety goggles when working with chemicals like citric-or oxalic acid. --------My uncle converted these helmets as POW in Russia by forging to cooking pots and vegetable pass-throughs.... The steel was, I think, foodstuff-proof.......In musea with after war items these kitchen tools are still to be seen, even with real enameling.
Parabéns ficou muito top, abraço aqui do Brasil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Insane job! Well done, it looks brand new. I am amazed it turned out so well!
🤣🤣
No!
Very nice! I love your videos man.
That's an early M40 cause it has the aluminum liner band with the square chinstrap loops.
Beautiful, it’s nice to see that you’re still preserving history.
That original paint though wow
Interesting that how good quality is helmed under rust, nice video 👍
Amazing! I am extremely excited about what you had done! ❤❤❤❤❤
I always keep the helmet liner the way it is..and preserve it as good as possible while it’s still attached the way it was
Awesome.... the wax gives it a perfect non over-restored look. 👍👍🍺🍺
Nicely done Sir. 👌
Awesome! Does the wax/heat make the paint crackle or bubble up? Got an M40 in quite similar condition and looking for a way to further preserve it, without damaging the paint!
Very nice preservation.
This helmet is a great piece of memorabilia.
Good job as always
Nice find.👍
Restoring my first helmet, has damage on the rim (bits rusted off where it is folded over). How would I go about fixing this? I thought about using clay and sculpting the folded part back but it doesn't seem like the right thing to do with it.
Fantastic job!
I wish you would come to the Philippines. On the final push in Bataan, the Japanese brought in a line of bulldozers and simply buried the first line of American defenders alive. There has been no legal, official effort to excavate or explore the area where the trenches were to recover bodies or relics.
What ratio did you use for the acid? like every gallon was 5 cups of the acid for an example.
What is the reason for scrubbing the helmet clean before hammering the rust? And why didn't you hammer all of the bulging rust spots?
Is the green liquid towards the end just soap or is that bleach or some kind? Also what is the clear liquid used right at the end with the heat gun? Thanks
Hello, insane work man, what was the green liquid that u use ?
Is this a restoration??? Dude didn't even remove the rust. Amateur work. And in the comments all people WOW, what a wonderful job. Truly children.
Did you save the split pins?
Superb.
Are there ways to remove the wax to take another acid bath? I already coated the helmet in wax but realized it would need a new acid wash
Isn't the rust under the wax still keep going? What you have done looks great!! Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up for your channel
Rust growth cannot be stopped. This process can only be slowed down. There is no access of oxygen under the wax layer and the corrosion process is greatly slowed down. In a dry room, this helmet can be stored for years and will not rust.
how do you know before which helmets can be recovered and which can't?
That's not restoring that's preserving, you did what a curator would have done. Good job with the wax.
Great job 👍. The helmet was very rusty, I could not even imagine that so much paint could be hidden under this layer of rust. From now on, I will carefully clean all my relics, so as not to miss anything interesting.
Very good comrade!
What country are you finding all these items?
good job 👍👍
Where did you get the acid from?
Very good 😊
Nice restoration! But why didn't you put the liner band back?
Unfortunately, the liner rotted irretrievably.
Does the treatment last forever once the wax is applied? or how often must it be repeated? thanks and congratulations. Mike.
In remarkable condition for being close to eighty years old, and buried probably for most of that time too.
Hello. Nice work. I just bought a Helmet from Normandie and I would like to restore it. A part of the Oxalic acid what are the other products that you use? Thank you for your help
I use oxalic acid and a toilet cleaner that will contain hydrochloric acid to remove limescale.
Esto se quita con chorro de arena......
You are so lucky to have one, the closest thing I have is a n m40 Finnish helmet
Can I send you a WWII Mimeograph for you to restore?
Hey! I wonder what materials you use for this conversation since I plan on doing one myself
Watch my videos carefully. I write in detail all the materials that I use.
nice video i like it
Toilet cleaner "Toilet duck"
Nice!
Thanks bro
Hello mate i just bought an helmet wich have some rust, it is in a better shape not that many rust, how much of acid i use per Liter of water to have this effect?
I use about 100 grams per 10 litres of water
@@wwiituberestoration1011 thanks brother, i just got a m35, i will post a vídeo restoring him.
How much for you to restore a old helmet that I have?
What’s the green stuff that makes the lime scale?
Toilet cleaner
@@wwiituberestoration1011 what brand do you use?
Been trying to clean my M35 in the U.S., sad thing is I can't find oxalic acid anywhere. Or any equivalent. So sad
Very nice restoration and video 👏👏
Hello, do you restore helmets?
Looks like you left it to much outside 🙂...has started to rust 😎
why do I want one so badly?
Why you don't remove all the rust?
What was your purpose when you melted the candle and did it?
I would assume to prevent further rust/oxidation.
👍👍good
Beutiful
5:45 what is that ?
Was that a bullet hole on the front??
There are no bullet holes in this helmet. There are three holes for attaching the liner and one formed by corrosion of the metal.
*its also the Hungarian m42 helmet. 😉👍
waited until you remake the swastika sticker. slightly disappointed but very well restored 👍👍
Inside this is apfelgrun?
Absolutely correct. Inside - apfelgrun
That's it? It's still full of rust!
Põe no vinagre com sal limpa
Forgot to sandblast, retexture and repaint it.. also forgot to redo the wermacht logo.
NEVER TAKE UT A LINER THAT HAS BEEN IN THE HELMET SINCE WW2, IT LOSES ALL OF IT VALUE!
Sand blasting, sand blasting, sand blasting
You are lucky. Very.
