Honestly the only downside of this series is being subjected to the puritanical censorship nonsense of the 90s, all the satanic panic prudish bible thumping lunacy that led to 4kids censorship and treating kids like 2 year olds haha, I loved starship troopers and vampire hunter D in 3rd grade and that crap always annoyed me
The upside is this animation style led directly to marvel vs Capcom 2 haha
Morph transforming into Deadpool, Omega Red, and Maverick during his fight with Wolverine implies that the previous memories of Sabretooth gleamed by Professor Xavier were Sabretooth actually fighting Morph either all at once or at various different sparring sessions While Morph posed as different mutants, framing them for crimes
This was epic! always loved the little cameos of other marvel characters in this series! great job Erick and Gina!

It’s wild that actual history like WWII was not allowed to be mentioned back then but I don’t ever recall NOT knowing what Magneto’s back story was. The X-Men series was my first and most involved exposure to the ip too. So just shows how sophisticated the writing was even with barriers.

I've been rewatching the entire old X-Men Animated Series in preparation for X-Men 97, and I got to say I really liked the Phoenix Saga and the Dark Phoenix Saga in season 3. I really enjoyed revisiting the show, and I'm really glad this story and these X-Men are getting a continuation to their story! I'm so EXCITED!!!! X-Men 97 sounds amazing and like everything I wanted it to be! I'm so hyped!

There are way too many easter eggs in this series lol. But Xmen 97 is a good way to get an Xforce animated series going. At the very least id love to see the other teams like Xforce, Excalibur, and Xfactor team up episodes.
