  • What separates this young guy from his competitors is his ability to remain calm amidst the chaos, think clearly and apply his techniques with precision and power. There are a lot of guys and girls who are in incredible shape, train amazingly hard, and are technically excellent in the gym, but for whatever reason find it hard or impossible to apply that in the heat of a real fight. I'm so impressed by his calm demeanour and decision making from what little I've seen of him so far. I'll be looking out for his fights in the future. Looks like he has a great chance to be a dominant champion, if he continues on this trajectory.

    • Psychopaths get calmer the riskier things get

      @zihuatenejo@zihuatenejo Жыл бұрын
    • @@zihuatenejo Actually that is a myth. Psychopaths are as prone to panic or freaking out as anyone else. Their emotional palette does not allow for empathy, but psychopaths feel fear, or anger as much as anyone else. It's not the calm that psychopaths are reputed to have, many psychopathic attacks are frenzied and lack control, what makes them dangerous is that they have no limit to the amount of violence they are capable of delivering. Most people aren't capable of really hurting another person on purpose, except in extreme circumstances. Psychopaths on the other hand will commit horrific violence without batting an eyelid, that is what makes them so dangerous

      @MrDarkweaver@MrDarkweaver Жыл бұрын
    • You've nailed it! Many fighters train hard and are in great shape and have awesome skills. Yet when they get into an actual combat the excitement usually gets the best of them. The tend to become over exerted and force the fight. This young man has a great ability to remain calm under what seems to be all circumstances and this is truly an edge over most. His punches become more deadly as well as his kicks. His being so relaxed lends itself to being like a whip with a steel ball at the end of it!!!

      @LS-ti1rz@LS-ti1rz Жыл бұрын
    • @@LS-ti1rz Totally agree, your techniques flow better, and because you can be more precise, they have a greater effect which compounds the damage to the opponent. The reason Mike Tyson was so devastating a puncher was because his technique was spot on, he was a powerful (but not the most powerful) puncher, and his accuracy was excellent, especially early in his career. If you can be powerful and precise, that is a deadly combination, but one that requires the ability to make split second decisions in a calm and focused way.

      @MrDarkweaver@MrDarkweaver Жыл бұрын

  • Nothing scarier than someone who is indifferent towards the idea of killing you lol. His patience is incredible. He keeps it all business and when something doesn't go his way , he starts over without pressure. He has great mental focus. It's hard to not be emotional when the fight gets frustrating but he always maintains control over the outcome. He dominates the present moment and that is all. It's artistic . Makes a lot of these guys seem like fragile minded amateurs and barbarians.

  • Reminds me of musashi’s teachings, winning a fight is done by being completely calm, not letting yourself get too slacked nor too hyped up, changing to meet and defeat your opponent’s spirit etc
