Genius may be a word that is often overused, but I think it's safe to say that he truly is a genius of Muay Thai. I can't think of any Muay Thai fighters that fight for decades and seem to hardly slow down like Saenchai, still making it look easy to this day.

Thing is, after the 2010s, not of the guys matched up with Saenchai were his "contemporaries", and definitely not many of the opponents featured in this video. Not to take away from his accomplishments, as he's definitely one of the all time greats, but there are fighters that are more than his match out there in the Thai stadiums.

I just love all these little interactions between the fighters-being cheeky without totally full of themselves, the respect, and more all while in the middle of fighting at a crazy high level. It's entertaining in the best of ways and I barely know anything about the ins and outs of the sport, yet I can watch it and enjoy it unlike some other fighting. Just great

I watched this whole video at 50% speed so I could actually see what he is doing because he is so fast. He makes it look so easy, he is on a different plane of awareness than his opponents. So impressive. He truly is a master of his craft.
Saenchai is THE PROFESSOR of this sport. And look at that incredible mischievous self-control...Warrior and artist at the same time. This is what impresses me the most.

As a crypto fighter I pay homage to the versatility of this boxer. There is probably no one in this world who is as skilled as Saenchai.😱😱😱
I think of Saenchai as a pioneer, bridging the old and the new of Muay Thai. He has all the old school, traditional skills, along with his ability to add in stuff that’s not usually considered to be related to Muay Thai. For example the axe kick variations and the crowd pleasing cartwheel kicks. Has he ever trained with or fought kyokushin guys? Looks like he’s had some exposure to it.

Never even heard of him. Why wasn't he in UFC? the reason he's so good is he does what most fighters fail to do. Knees and elbows. A lot. And a lot of body shots to the ribs and liver. but on top of that is his total lack of fear in the fact that he is actually enjoying the sport, as you should be. it's not an angry fight, it's not business as usual. It's a sport. And you should have fun doing any kind of sporting activities, including fighting. And he does. And that's great, I think. It's more than the style and skill. Attitude plays a major role in a champions accomplishments.

I am truly thankful to have lived in a time where I can witness the beauty of Saenchai and Buakaw in action. Two absolute legends, not only of their sport, but of martial arts in general. I would have loved to have seen what they could do against modern MMA fighters when they were at their peak.

What I notice with a lot of less skilled muay Thai guys is rhat they are often very ridged and stiff. Powerful sure but stuff and slow. This guy being a lil clowny and very very relaxed in a fight makes him so very fast and fluid in comparison to many in thay art as well as plain unpredictable which is where he bears so so many
