It was easy to stick by Villa when we went down, he barely played and was still just a promising youngster. He really came into his own after the preseason kidney injury, under Bruce. Then his performances soared under Deano. He was a real driving force in getting us back up, but in reality we only saw two or three years of his best before he wanted out. He will struggle to be named as a Villa legend in years to come.

As a Villa fan, as much as I hate seeing him play for someone else, you can't begrudge him leaving. He gave everything to the club. In its most dire time he ran himself into the ground to get us back up to the prem, and then gave everything to keep us there. He then brought in £100m to help us build the squad. We've gone from strength to strength since.

I would guess one of the factors is he has been driven by the possibility of silverware and being successful in the game he loves, and it has come to fruition for him. He was helped get us up, kept us up, and stabilised us in the premier league, and got us £100m. At the time as a professional he had to move as he deserved to play at the highest level, which in 2021 we were not at that level. If we had him now, with our current position he wouldn't leave.

I for one was so happy to see him win the treble last season, he has achieved the greatest achievement he can in English Club football. The thing is, as a Villa fan. We the Villa faithful always knew that these big clubs were chasing Grealish's signature when we fighting relegation, playing in the championship and being promoted back. And for us, we knew Jack was going to leave but, for me personally, i was not expecting him to leave the way he did: Turn down an contract extension, no longer a part of where Villa is now (in Europe finally) and expects everyone to be happy for him? Most of the villa fans are but we all wished he could of stayed and could of helped Villa to Europa than the conference league last season.

It was easy to stick by Villa when we went down, he barely played and was still just a promising youngster. He really came into his own after the preseason kidney injury, under Bruce. Then his performances soared under Deano. He was a real driving force in getting us back up, but in reality we only saw two or three years of his best before he wanted out. He will struggle to be named as a Villa legend in years to come.
He may have left us, but he left us with great memories and never forget he's one of our own. Don't blame him at all

As a Villa fan, as much as I hate seeing him play for someone else, you can't begrudge him leaving. He gave everything to the club. In its most dire time he ran himself into the ground to get us back up to the prem, and then gave everything to keep us there. He then brought in £100m to help us build the squad. We've gone from strength to strength since.

As a villa fan, can’t knock him for going for trophies, stood by the club when we got relegated got us back and helped us stay in the first season
Honestly it may turn out to be great all around. It’s clearly been great for Jack and MC, and the money Villa received jump started a complete rebirth. If Villa push on over the next few years it will have started with Jack first helping to keep us in the league and then what his transfer fee meant.

But the reality is you've taken everything that was special about him as a player and he isn't half of what he used to be. You'll sell him in 2 seasons at most and then he'll be another nobody.

He was helped get us up, kept us up, and stabilised us in the premier league, and got us £100m. At the time as a professional he had to move as he deserved to play at the highest level, which in 2021 we were not at that level. If we had him now, with our current position he wouldn't leave.
No real Villa fan has any bad feelings about Jack leaving for Man City. He did so much for us and will always be a club legend. I for one was so happy to see him win the treble last season, he has achieved the greatest achievement he can in English Club football. He deserves trophies, he deserves to be remembered as one of the best one of the rarest talents England have seen up there with Gazza, Sir Bobby and Rooney. We the Villa faithful always knew that these big clubs were chasing Grealish's signature when we fighting relegation, playing in the championship and being promoted back. And for us, we knew Jack was going to leave but, for me personally, i was not expecting him to leave the way he did: Turn down an contract extension, no longer a part of where Villa is now (in Europe finally) and expects everyone to be happy for him? Most of the villa fans are but we all wished he could of stayed and could of helped Villa to Europa than the conference league last season.
