#DIY ENGINE
ive never seen a handmade crankshaft and piston actually work, this is some really impressive work!
Don't forget the camshaft as well...
works for the video
@@frankdesire3245 yeah obviously its not likely the quality of a production engine and it probably doesnt make that much power nor last long, still very cool tho
Yes, it is a great job, well done
yea but if you push it to its limits its probably going to explode lol
Your talent and ambition to think outside the box and use what ever materials are available never ceases to amaze me. Nice job as always. Thank you for sharing
The Missouri school system failed me. I learned more about small engines in this clip than I did in a two month class.
All american Schools are bad it due to the feds enforcing stupid requirements and dumbing everyone.
@@WilliamHollinger2019They need to dumb it down so the illegals can keep up. How's that for liberal logic and making a country strong. I can't believe the braindead things promoted nowadays.
Man thats why school is useless fr
Yeah my highschool teaches small engines and they don't teach shit I learn more from working on my mini bike and go-kart. Basic maintenance, performance upgrades, carb tuning, setting valve lash, etc.
@@OogaBooga-qs8ns There's really no replacement for doing what you're doing working and learning on your own stuff. If you don't know something or figure it out, somebody somewhere has already figured it out and posted it online. I learned to be an OK machinist by buying an industrial lathe and Bridgeport with some support equipment. I've done customer jobs and those machines have already paid for themselves many times over. I like to see younger people get into working with mechanical things. I did when I was younger and I've had my own business since 2000 and my repair shop since 2008. I do collision repair on semi trucks and trailers. Good luck to you and Merry Christmas.
You definitely need a back flash arrestor between the fuel and the carburetor. One misfire, hung valve etc and you have an instant fuel air bomb with fragmentation. Awesome job making the engine from scrap pieces.
thats what i thought
I also love how you have taken the concept of 'Air-fuel ratio', broken it down into its most basic mixing principles and made this work. Well Done.
I just love how run out doesn't slow you down. You just power through it. Square it up and its good to go. Good on you matey
Just getting the cam lobes indexed by hand close enough to run is amazing in itself!
i thought he was filling in some indentations in the rod with a welder. When I realized the guy was actually making the cam lobes i thought wtf
hand crafted for maximum precision
@@vostock0998I knoow, big "wut" moment XD
That's awesome to see the custom crank, rod, and piston! Makes me want to custom make more than just the cylinders im working on
Super geweldig om te zien hoe een motor werkt dat het eigenlijk simpel is. thnx!
definitely the most impressive thing you’ve done. this is what i’ve been waiting for. this is something i’ve wanted to achieve for a long time but just never had the time
The making was quite literal, each piece is your own production
Разумная голова!!! Умелые Руки...!!!! Следующий Двигатель который вы сделаете у Вас будет Дизельный ДВС с Форкамерой ... Дерзайте у Вас получится...!!!
In all the years ive lived in The Philippines ....This is the FIRST genuine engineer Ive ever seen. Superb work. Magaling talaga!
This is extremely cool!! I love how it doesn't look like your measuring anything in this video :)
Absolutely amazing as always. Your skills are definitely second to none. You are the engine master, keep the awesome builds coming.👌👍🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You're an amazing craftsman! Awsome build and great video!
Absolutely fascinating! Thanks for sharing and best regards from Ireland.
Esse cara está em outro nível! 🇧🇷
Interesting thing to note when making pistons: they're not perfectly cylindrical. Because of heat expansion, the piston skirt is actually slightly oval, with the span across the gudgeon pin also being slightly oval in the opposite direction. When the piston heats up to operating temperature, it all evens out and becomes cylindrical. If this isn't factored in, you risk the piston skirt seizing in the bore and tearing your piston in half. This is much less of a problem with air cooled engines though, because their larger tolerances usually make this machining process redundant, so some manufacturers don't bother.
@GitsumSaus I was scanning down the comments just to see if somebody else watching knew this.
great to see a true craftsman at work absolutely amazing
I just wanted to know that this is the first video of yours that I've seen and coincidentally, I am dry vaping through a home made bong while I watch. Cheers, fella.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a better depiction of resourcefulness in my fucking life This dude literally created an entire engine out of scrap metal and spare parts using a drill press and a laythe 🤯
The custom rings are solid attention to detail!
คุณสุดยอดมากๆ 🎉 เก่งกาจ ฉันติดตามจากประเทศไทย😊
Absolutely incredible work!
Congratulations kabayan for making 100% Pinoy engine, iba talaga ang galing ng Pinoy. 🇵🇭💪
Probably the most amazing thing I have ever seen hand made!
piston rings and hand numerical control machining cam lobes, amazing
i cant belive that you made evry single part yourself 😮😮🔥🔥🔥
Your stuff is so cool! Thanks for sharing Cheers
This is amazing! Very well done
ฉันชอบไอเดียของคุณมาก และอยากให้คุณทำมันขึ้นอีก❤
You are really a brilliant man. Congrats. It is amazing
You are my favorit and you are very honored for this work and this beautiful work
Absolutely beautiful work 👍👍
Thanks a lot for such informative videos
After seeing this, I have a feeling that he could build an engine that would exceed the power and longevity of the engine on the Wright Flyer -- and be lighter weight!
An AWESOME little shopmade engine 👍👍
Incredible as always, greetings from Quebec, Canada.
Outstanding demonstration.
Everyone should take a lesson from this guy's editing skills.
Mantap om..salut dengan ilmu mu❤
Great, bare bones engine build, even a hand made carburettor made from a glass jar. I was a little bit worried about this thing backfiring though, not gonna lie.
These engine's can't last longer than 5 minutes on transparent 😅
You really made an internal combustion engine from scratch...!!! I'm speechless...
that is impresive thank you ******* you get 10 stars for this
Hi! Great work you do. Id like to ask if you could try making a 4 stroke rotary valve engine.
Nice Technique sa Piston Ring Bro!!!
Salamat sek
엔진을 셀프제작하다니 놀랍습니다
Truly awesome thanks
Amazing beautiful homade machine 😍👍👍👍😍
Bellissimo progetto complimenti 👏
I've been spotting a lot of wrong stuff throughout the video. Like the lack of gaskets, not tappered piston and whatnot. But considering that, it was probably made just for the video and generally the way it was made - still super impressive that it works! Great stuff 👍 Also how much cc is it?
You mad bro, i'll never seen something like this run fckn perfectly 😮 thats awesome 🤔
I like your style. Now it needs a bigger camshaft and a header.
Nádhera. Toto je věc co musím mít
I constructed a model like this using a briggs and Stratton at my school. How do you keep the engine running without the heat blistering the acrylic?
Low compression maybe? He got a thick head gasket plate before placing the cylinder head
THIS IS AWESOME 🤯🤯🔥🔥
Faz um v8 com esse modelo. Amo esse tipo de motor❤
Wow very very good awesome big like you are so intelligent 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏I enjoyed
Amazing job as always! You’ve turned a gas engine into a diesel, and turned a 4 stroke into a 2 stroke engine, what about building a two stroke diesel?
I always love your videos. But you need to do something about the buzzing, humming and whistling noises that come through when you machine parts. Great project though as always
The fuel air mixing works the same as a bong, with fuel instead of water!😂 Great work though. 👍
Respect ❤❤❤ thank you
Nice work 👍🤠
Muy bueno... 🎉Intenta Acer uno de diecel. 👍👍👍
t'es un génie mon ami ❤
you welded next to the magnets, and they still work? 🤔
I was wondering the same thing
i'd say the weld temps were low or he re-magnetized them
Thats amazing 😍
Someone stolen your video. DIY & Craft account using your video on Facebook. Hope you noticed my comment.
This video is nuts man
Really really interesting 🤩👍
Daaaaamn cool bro great work
Een vakman aan het werk. Respect daarvoor.
4 stroke engine, where is it possible for the fuel inlet and combustion exhaust ports to be combined?
فنان ما شاء الله ابهرتني❤❤❤❤❤❤
thats amazing
This may be the crudest model engine build I've ever seen. Which makes it even more astounding that it seems to run so well!
Thats so bloody cool 😀
Very good video bro It was an excellent job. But I'm wondering if you can take this engine you made one step further and convert it to electric fuel injection. :D
Super engine!
👏 impressionnants 🤯
Can you make a motorcycle powered by a diesel engine? Or use the diesel converted bike engine to power a bike ?
Damn I see all this great machining and then you made the camshaft and I wanted to die.
merece um milhao de likes
What is the cylinder made from? Glass? Cant be plastic otherwise it would melt. Bad enough the clear piece on top is lexan or something
I'm curious to see the mess a backfire would cause.
amazing one
Impressive
Like a monster!
Very Cool !
Fantastic.
You guys actually got A profected fuel vaporizer system no way I profected A new style that nobody ever could have dreamed of there's less parts in My system than his i want to patent it. One day outdoor power equipment and cars and trucks will all have my profected system no more computerized junk zero carbon emissions exhaust side only gets up to 85 degrees.
At school I learned how to sharpen a knife with a pencil. I learned that if you pee into a fly zapper it hurts. On KZhead I've learned how to start a business. Something should be different anyways that engine is awesome
Why are the valves on the previous engine at 112 degrees and those on this engine at 106 degrees? by the way very good video
Awesome
Imagine this guy making a full hand made v8
16:28 doesn't overheating a magnet kill the magnetic field?
Amazing
