This is the biggest tank I've ever made, it's been a great experience. My fishes seem to be having fun :)

  • Truly beautiful, and outstanding craftsmanship. Everything about it came out beautiful. I feel something is missing, maybe some plants or rocks in the water, anything that would take the plainest from inside the tank. Besides that, it truly is first class workmanship & craftsmanship.

  • Excellent work and construction techniques. One question, those beards that they place are mechanical filter material, what are they called and what specific function do they have? They are very permeable to make a deep filtration. congratulations and success

    • Actually Luis Gomez their construction is massively flawed. To be effective reinforcement in the tension of a concrete slab has to have one inch of concrete below the the underside of the reinforcement. They just wasted that reinforcement as it is reinforcing nothing. They should have used 1"/25mm standoffs to lift it.

    • ​@@Biffo1262 Dear Steven, i agree and voted to your comment but just one doubt, since the slab reinforcement is in the bottom, i believe it won't make any difference as the entire load is on the basement, i assume that such slab reinforcement for the top roof would be ineffective as it's suspended and won't serve the purpose.   • A perfect opportunity to show our non metric friends the beauty, elegance and simplicity of the metric system. This beauty begins with 1cm3=1ml=1cc of water weighs 1 gram. 10cm3=1000cc of water weighs 1kilo. 1 metre is 10 lots of 10cm. 1 metre3 is 10x10x10 =1000 of those 10cm cubes…and so 1m3 of water weighs 1000kilos. So this pond has water in it weighing 12000 kilos. 1kilo is 2.2lbs . 12000kg =26400 lbs. how easy is that!

    • Thats not their job. Their job is to build. If you want to remove the toxic than there is two ways. Natural way is banana tree plants cutting into pieces and leave it in there for several days then remove and refill or put water in it for several days / rinse and repeat. The banana fiber sucks up the toxicity that the cement releases. The cycling process to safety put fish in is also not their job also
