I, a full grown adult woman, wept the nerdiest of tears when I watched this today. Terry has been my favourite since I was renting the anime movies on VHS at my local Hollywood Video. Like...man. I'm so freaking excited for this.

The use of sprite work on this trailer was genius. I know jack about Fatal Fury but this makes me want to dab a bit more into SNK's catalog of fighters more :B

- nevi901 fatal fury and kings of fighters has lots and lots of good music as well, the real catch is the gameplay! i highly recommend KOF 11, Garou MOW, and neogeo battle coliseum :)

- They're really good, a lot of the mechanics they used in their games where way ahead of their time, and the art style and music is sweet as well, I totally recommend Garou Mark of The Wolves.

2 years ago. Time flies, and this is still my favorite SSBU reveal next to Kazuya, Sora, and Steve. Just an unpopular opinion, Terry is a better pick than Kyo and Iori. I think he fits into a Nintendo game better + he's simply that iconic

- I don't think that's an unpopular opinion at all. I'd say Terry is way more popular than both Kyo and Iori, and arguably more popular than any other SNK character aside from maybe Mai Shiranui. I think Terry is the true face of SNK.

- @@davion4777 Welp, I actually agree with you. The 2019 poll SNK did says it all when it comes to who's more popular. I just feel like Terry is less than the face when it comes to the treatment SNK gives. Let's be frank, they called him their mascot and rep for Smash, yet we barely see him in any KOF promotional art and poster, don't we? It's always Kyo, Iori, Mai, and sometimes Athena who are pushed to be in those. Lorewise, Terry doesn't contribute much to what's going on within the KOF verse. Everytime, it looks like all they need is Kyo and Iori to solve any world-scale conflict with the new MCs while Terry nonchalantly relaxes in the background partying with the cast of FF and AOF. Even in the crossovers like CVS, we don't always have Terry paired with Ryu the Mr. Capcom. Most of the time, it has to be Kyo, as if he's THE face of SNK as a whole. I know he ain't the MC anymore, but if they're really that eager to show us that he's their Mr. SNK, at least give him the same treatment Ryu and Chun-Li earned from Capcom. If he's really their Mr. SNK, it shouldn't have taken them that long to green lit Garou 2 now that they've been more financially stable for years. Not that I'm not grateful, though, I'm still ecstatic to hear that FF still continues. Shows how they still care for other IPs outside of KOF and SamSho. Also, I have nothing against them pushing Kyo and Iori in a KOF game. I always know they're the heart and soul of KOF.

- @@whompywhomperson2139 almost equally as impossible since Mortal Kombat as a whole is not sold in Japan. I think only MK2 got snuck in there once for PS1 but thats about it. Whats needed next is a Falcom rep (Adol from Ys), a Koei rep (Lu Bu or Zhao Yun from Dynasty Warriors), a Tecmo rep (Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden or Kasumi from Dead or Alive), another Sega rep (and another Namco rep (Kazuya Mishima from Tekken, Klonoa or Cless or Lloyd from Tales). Banjo, despite being a Western made IP owned by Micrsoft (catch Sakurai plugging its game for XB1), was still originally a Nintendo IP so theres the history there. Sans from Undertale is an odd one but its just a costume, The fact no ones saying anything about Goemon from Mystical Ninja making it in as a costume is very telling and sad actually about the current video game scene; an npc from an indie Earthbound ripoff got more notice than a character like Goemon who had so many titles on Nintendo platforms. Its pretty obvious how narrow minded and myopic Smash/Nintendo fanboys are; especially with the hate of Terry Bogard; not even realizing that without him and King of Fighters, there'd never BE a Smash game as its what inspires Sakurai to make Smash in the first place.

People have been asking for Terry for over a decade as he's the protagonist of the game that essentially inspired Sakurai to make Smash. Not to mention, he's one of the most legendary fighting icons in the world. And then we have like a quarter of the fan-base either not care who he is or are disappointed. Sigh.

I love how this trailer starts with everyone trying to get the invitation and Gesse Howard hopping of the tower to get it and people told me a king of fighters won't be in smash. Come on now let's go! I'm so happy Terry's coming in. :) (And more dlc, I'm just going to say Crash and Rayman).

I was about to drop a tear of happiness, inside my mind there was the metal slug 1's credits song overall after no one catched the letter just to see terry picked it; Guess i will go drop no one, but tons of tears and not due to happiness but disappointment

This very cool! Now people can have that Rematch of death battle btw I keep hearing waluigi and shadow being brought out of 5th DLC is Waluigi being it and shadow being the 1st DLC character is 2nd fighter pass I think Nintendo might do echo fighter pass or assistant trophy fighter pass

You guys! Seeing Terry in Smash reminded me of something! This Saturday is the first anniversary of SNK Heroines! The last DLC character we got there was Jeanne D'Arc from the World Heroes series! Knowing how SNK celebrated the first anniversary for their mobile game, KOF All-Stars by releasing surprising new content, perhaps we might get new DLC for SNK Heroines as well!
