The supercharger in that Lotus is so loud in the cabin lol
What engine was in the lotus?
@@carloscrod_ toyota 1.8
always wanted this type of race with real road cars. So much more interesting. There should be more events like this with stock sports cars.
Reminds me of playing Gran Turismo, cool video.
the turbo s at 8:59 brakes much earlier for the gtr to pass smoothly. The gallando is like off the track, he is not interested in fighting the position (the driver, of course. 9:07, 11:18) and as always they show that they are not worth to drive even an automatic in conditions unless it is a Japanese car. (9:07) (11:18). Another clear demonstration that they are not interested in driving well European vehicles can be seen here: 10:23 a 4 wheel drive car does not skid/drift if you don't want it to skid/drift. The min 12:35 the murcielago "goes long" having good brakes and being four-wheel drive, come on! give more gifts to the gtr to win. at min 14:27 the murcielago stops accelerating. And the end is pathetic, knowing that the murcielago has more torque, more power, four-wheel drive and others, the exit of the car (corner) will always be greater in better or worse conditions but curiously it has not been like that, remember: Japanese program, the Japanese car will always win or will be about to win.
I agree with you on all points except the 4 wheel drive not skidding/drifting if you don’t want it to. Even if you don’t mean to, with such high powered cars an over eager throttle input or high steering angle under acceleration can do that. I know this because of the car I drive which has 750nm, fairly new tyres and 4 wheel drive... Damn good fun as it grips again almost immediately and fires you out of the corner.
@@a20axf what you say is understandable but that assumption is easy to explain: Based on the angle of the curve and the speed that you apply to pass it, you can get out of the corner well (stepping on the accelerator progressively.) or you can leave as you say or the pilot of the turbo s in this video, that as soon as you leave, step on Full throttle causing a tiny understeer, which means that a four-wheel drive does not distribute the weight properly and the engine (especially if it is central or on the rear axle) produces or transmits more power to the rear wheels. Also understeer is also produced by entering a curve with higher speed than necessary. Obviously to make a good lap on the circuit it is better not to do this, but clearly it does it with suspicious intentions, just as the lamborghini gallardo does not change gears when it should and etc... I think you know and understand what I mean.
@@coach4050 I do indeed understand and yes if you drive the car progressively then yes it really can be very quick indeed. I can switch mine to rear wheel drive electronically and the difference of acceleration out of corners is incredible. In real world situations rather than on a track it gives me far more confidence to use 100% of the power available more of the time. Arguably it removes some fun as you can’t drift the car usually but, that’s up to the individual driver’s preferred style. I should clarify that there are many different physical and electronic configurations differences of the four wheel drive systems used in performance cars. That can make a huge difference with the handling characteristics. Overall though the Murcielago looked like they had deliberately allowed the GTR past as it often didn’t quite have enough power to outrun it on the corner before the tunnel etc. Interesting race between those two excluding the last corner. It amazes me quite how large the GTR looks in this company although it is relatively large and heavy.
@@coach4050 "the turbo s at 8:59 brakes much earlier for the gtr to pass smoothly." Just like the GTR does for the porsche at 8:44, you mean??? "(9:07) (11:18)" They miss shift all the times with whatever car.
@@errant3 the 911: first fight the position, but finally gives way the interior , and the turbo s in straight line is faster being able to get ahead. "The gallando is like off the track, he is not interested in fighting the position" They always drive like that, they're professionals not Forza players. " If they are professionals, something like that, they don't do that first, secondly, it's a race, your goal is supposed to be to win or not to be behind your opponents, but which is the sense of being there? are you serious? a profesional driver knows what is his goal, a professional driver does not missshift all the time, a profesional driver defends his position, a profesional driver fights for be the winner,a professional driver push hard his car to get a proper performance from it. "Forza drivers, I see the basis of your argument, you are trying hard." "They miss shift all the times with whatever car." They never fail with Japanese car, NSX, GTR, it is more the thing becomes so funny that they pretend to be true that an NSX r can keep up with an F50. Those GTR's are super fast cars, do not underestimate that car until you ride in it. A decade ago this car was running 3.2 60 and 11s quarter stock from factory
11s? I don't think so
@@randompalmtopgaming7541 the 2011 GTR ran an 11.8....
Only drag races are the examples you use?, or you learned it in F&F?. No wonder why nowadays car culture is a joke...
I mean Porsche 964 from 89 run 12s... And 4.7 second to 100. Also the 997 Turbo S was from 2004... Is not the Turbo S from 2010 is much older.
Hi Jack. Simply love these "common" race car competitions of yours, executed by professional drivers. Love the fact that they respect each others drive lines and race without deliberately crashing each cars. Footage fantastic. (Know that feeling where your "jumping" in your seat, praying for just one more horse power). Typical Japanese discipline. Excellent. Keep on posting.

I don't understand how the GTR came from last to first? I get many of these drivers are used to JDM vehicles mostly but c'mon now! The GTR is an awesome machine but that race a bit unlikely. The Murc driver hit the brake way too early. Oh well, it was fun to see. Also, the GTR doesn't cost that much less than the Porsche
Someone sounds salty. It’s because especially back then, the GTR was faster than all these and could handle better than all others. The other cars had antique performance compared to the new tech and performance capabilities.
@@AnthonyParrilloRI no way on earth the GTR was thaaaaat better. It's a bunch of Japanese guys, showing fake results to get their nation car win. Most of the videos where the GTR is present it gonna win, even against way better cars
@@Lordcamilo2 I can tell from your comment you don’t know what you’re talking about. The murc is a top 5 favorite of my car. That being said it was a Neanderthal compared to the GTR. Which is why the murcielago was replaced 2 years after the GTR came out and was already being planned for replacement when it came out.
@@AnthonyParrilloRI we all agree the murcielago is ancient, but can't revoke it's str8line speed, which the GTR being the "slow" engine model, was easily keeping with the big boy lambo. Besides that it's a 997 turbo, that one wasn't supposed to be taken like that. But what can we do? It's a JP show promoting their car. The GTR wins almost every round they put it in. And not even the GTR with more power, but this baby on this video.
@@AnthonyParrilloRI oh yes, I missed that Superleggera lighter, and more powerful than the GTR. Still couldn't catch-up even on str8line... Just watch all the videos from this guys, if there's a GTR present, they gonna make it win, even if the enemy is a F1 car 😂
The driver of murcielago shifted Always at 7000 rpm its bot Fair
this channel is amazing, i’ve been binge watching these for the last couple days
The GT-R and Murcielago are just on a completely different level compared to the other cars. The fact that the GT-R is also easiest car to live with every day out of all of them as well as being one of the cheapest is insane.
Not really ... I have had 997 turbo (2008) and still have my 2011 GTR and I can assure you that the GTR is funnier but very uncomfortable for all day use compare to the turbo
@@william__9449 The GTR actually has a usable trunk though.
-_- murciellago wins
@@madmatt2024 911 has two trunks. But I get what you're saying, you can actually carry a tripod and a couple folding lawn chairs in the trunk of the GTR.
Those exiges are weapons, I did a track day experience in one once, with a race driver instructing me from the passenger seat, once he saw I was capable, he encouraged me to go faster and faster, and I really thought I was pushing the car hard, then we swapped seats and he showed me what pushing it hard actually was, turns out the car was too good for me despite his glowing review at the end stating "very good, confident driver, with some tuition could be very fast". I'll take that.
Nahh, you slow. He was just being nice. 😂
@@johnpacheco8898 nah I've had several different driver days like that over the years and they all say the same, I've won slalom challenges, I was overtaking pretty much everyone else, have done several track days in my own car etc, I can drive man. With some tuition I could be very quick 😆
@@paulharper4196 sure, sure Schumacher.
those GT-R's never fail to impress me, way more affordable, extra reliable and fast AF
absolutely unreliable ... I have mine since 2017
@@william__9449 is it stock?
Extra reliable 😂😂
Perché il pilota della murcielago cambiava a 7k giri e non 8?
Reliable? It's a fucking nightmare. Traded in mine for a Kia Stinger GT after 4 years.
Omg ! The Lp640 was short shifting, not taking the v12 too redline !
The Murciélago and Gallardo sound so glorious, Lambo V10 and V12 engines are pure automotive symphony.
There are plenty. You just have not found them.
@@CadillacDriver I'm confused by your comment.
Hmmmm. I was positive I replied to the person 2 comments below you. I was definitely supposed to. 🤔 Disregard my comment.
Walter Röhrl would not have let a gtr overtake him in a porsche.
Thats what in saying even the murci cud have easily takej that any one of those cars besides the gtr
Ever get the feeling these are stacked in favor of the JDMs?
In some of the older episodes, they openly made fun of each other for being factory drivers and not wanting to win against their employer.^^
Lambo driver is short shifting by over 1000 rpm from 14m onwards, hence being then passed by the Nissan. Throw a better driver in the seat next time.
He ran out of fuel
@@lmasao 😂😂😂😂😂
he won the race he ran out of fuel
@@lmasao actually the car overheated. There was an English dubbed version I watched a while back and that’s what the commentator said
@@heinman6250yeah because it’s air intakes didn’t open because that requires them to put it in race mode. They were trying to get the GTR to win lol.
The Murciélago and Gallardo Supperleggera are my favorite cars here. I feel like the Gallardo is the next most fun to drive after the Lotus.
All the years I've been watching this race, this is the first time I've seen the version with the GT-R running out of gas.
one race at tsukuba the transmission failed after 2 laps it was ironic it was the race between the R34 and R35 to see wich one was the fastest
Yuji Ide never lets me down. Even in a street car, his mind binding driving skill just shocked me.
Rigged as usual. Murci driver's errors are why he lost.
That's why gtr still beat it in the nurburgring 😆
@@MsDejavue These kids acting like the murcielago is a track car lol. Even the bias aside it’s not a match for the gtr on a course like this.
@@Blazerghostyeah, im on the same page. But how he overshoots that turn on his last lap, i beleive, and allows the gtr to close the gap.. It just looked obvious to me. Hearing cars short shifting in different episodes.. Im starting to think this show's like WWE.
@@3drcworkshoppe-39 I wouldn’t be surprised considering that Nissan is a major Japanese car company
The murci has to slow down cuz of heat problems and the fuel tank is not that big
When the Lambo driver gave up on the exit from the last corner, it was like the GT-R was not to win. Suddenly he was strangely much slower on the finishing straight. Additionally, the Murciélago driver changed gears at 7,000 rpm instead of 8,000 where he has the most power - why? Was it going to be slower?
Lambo drover is short shifting by well over 1000 rpm in this video from about 14m on. Fancy then being passed by the GTR.........
japanese program the always want the japanes car to win just look at this one kzhead.info/sun/osmbYM-XgqtprHA/bejne.html&lc=Ugyhkr3egf03Jg4o6D94AaABAg
Yeah that was weird. They were both fully gassing it on the straights many times and it was damn near even. The last straight the gtr passed it like it was parked.
@@mBest-zv3kr except when they lose...... but don't let that small fact stop you!
@@errant3 enjoy this fake programs!
Even when shortshifting at 7k the Murcie is insanely fast, imagine if the dude rev it to 8k so the power drop off less between changes. Although brakes on the big Lambo is obviously too weak for the job, no issue with that in the GTR and other cars. Also, tyres wise, GTR is the most aggressive after the Lotus, but Nissan also gave the ideal suspension alignment for each GTR during manufacturing, something other brand glossed over by just having one that's not too crappy; until these days when all brands are chasing laptimes. PS: think Murcie been shortshifting due to temps being high, if the auto translate is to be true
Murcie has full torque about 6k
I think it has more to do with the Lambo being less suited for racing, giant engine and amazing power yes, but other than straights the Gallardo behave much better around the corners
Aren't the murcis batwings supposed to be for cooling?
@@smegmaz9388 "lambo being less suited for racing..." lol, have you ever watched FIA GT or Le mans GT1 in the 00s? Besides the Maserati MC12 or the Saleen S7, wich were true monsters, the Murciélago LP670 was a very competitive car to race, on par with the Corvette C6R and Aston Martin DBR9, all of them race winners. The GTR never stood a chance until helps like BoP, the retirement of true GT1 cars like the Maserati or the change to GT3 rules happened. Lol.
@@milesr4609 yeah, the racing version of the car, not the one sold to consumers. Perhaps they were successful enough at those competitions but they simply can't touch something like a porsche, even with a giant price difference
My favorite Lotus is the Lotus Evora because it is a 2+2 Coupè with four seats just like the Nissan GT-R and Porsche 911.
Crazy race, very exciting
That's one way to sell the GTR back in 08, great car but definitely measured.
@ 13:26 What an amazing finish!
この人たち本当楽しそうにドライブするから 見てて面白いわw
Awesome 🔥
LoL @ that money shift at 9:51
What a fight👍🏻
Such a great finish.
Poor little Lotus. It's just needs more ponies
That car didn't belong in the race tbh
I think it would have done better at Tsukuba
The deal is to make the GTR wins... the guy in the Lambo is short shifting like a pig... The V12 can support 8500 RPM and the guy behind the wheel passing gears @ 7000RPM... what a courtesy... just like the over braking in the penultimate lap... two feet on the pedal ! There's no need to cheat to prove that the GTR is an awesome car, and there's no dishonor to be second behind a Murcielago LP640...
The Lamborghinis relying on extra cylinders and bigger displacement , the GTR and the 911 relying heavily on computer assistance , the Exige doing it the right way by being light weight .
Yeah and getting lapped 3 times by all the other cars
@@AnthonyParrilloRI okay I'm not sure when that happened I didn't see it in the video .
yes my favorite sort of racing too by far
Nice slip steam at the end to pull hehe
Closest you could get to this is probably Forza Motorsport 3, since most of the cars and Twin Ring Motegi are there. Except the Gallardo Superleggera and the GT-R are DLC cars.
the gt-r isn't dlc unless i'm missing something 🤔 (though it's the spec v not the base or premium trim)
@@FrozenIce The GT-R SpecV comes as standard in Motorsport 4. However the Murcielago LP 640 and the Gallardo Superleggera end up becoming “unicorn” cars.

End track is: Greg Hatwell & Marc Lane - sunshine soul, for those who want to know 😄
The gtr was designed specifically to outperform the 911 turbo. This show has plenty of European cars beating Japanese ones.
I often watch these funny races, but in this race the desired victory of the gtr is too evident. 200 more horsepower in favor of the Lambo is not lost that way Every world is a country
ムルシエラゴはウイングなしでスポーツモードじゃないのに一番速いのが証拠付けられた企画です
Wow the murcielargo is really handing it to them
A pesar que no está considerado como un super deportivo, pero nissan gtr35 es una evolución magnífica que no tiene nada que envidiar a un lambo, porche o ferrari
Шлема у них классные
Anyone know the name of this song going on in the background during the post race interview
That gtr tho😍😍
Look at the GT-R, always driven close to the limit around corners, the murcelago is barely cruising, we know where the better driver is, or what they are up to🧐🧐
GT-R
After all these years, the GT-R has lost a bit of its shine, but this video is a reminder of how much of a spaceship it was when it first launched.
GTR so much better for less price , awesome !
right from the start the Lamborghini Murcielago was being only revved to 7000 instead of the 8500 that it can go to.. driver must have been instructed to not go over 7000... eg @5:12
Looks staged, they let GT-R won. Even the driver of Murci LP640 did not redlined it, see at 5:13 , 9:44 , 10:36
I agree. Watching many of the Japanese videos and there are some bias towards JDM cars.
Your playing too much video games if you think that every car needs to hit redline in track racing.
@@theone6805 you clearly never went to track day racing.
@EmcIcon I got it, sure laptime of GTR were faster, but why LP640 driver not redlined it? This is racing condition, they are racing driver, & this is supercar with high revving engine, so why not redlined it? The peak power is close to redline, seems the driver were holding back. Also, this is a sprint race, not long distance. race.
@EmcIcon they are "Racing Driver", their duty is to squeeze out every single power & potential of the car they raced. Also they should able to handle 640 hp, because their race car they competes on the championship are way faster & way more sensitive, & much sharper handling than road legal LP640. So why bother not redlined it? Clearly you never went to track day race & knows the basic of racing.
started at last finished as first.... GTR 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Japan Movie director ask for a Japanese Car to win this?
Lmao yea the porsche would beat all ass
In the final corner of the race, the Murcielago driver shifted gears fairly early, which isn't possible with a naturally aspirated car, and if he drove like that for the whole race, it's no wonder the GTR wins the race.
Watch at 14:55 - the Lamborghini shifts are 7000rpm lol. The Murci will murder thar skyline

A lot of comments state the obvious; rigged for the GTR win. To their defense though they have revisited the GTR vs Gallardo duel lots of times and each time the GTR lost due to heavy weight and overheating of the tires. They even point that out by saying that the GTR is not true sports car due to unacceptable weight.
