  • the turbo s at 8:59 brakes much earlier for the gtr to pass smoothly. The gallando is like off the track, he is not interested in fighting the position (the driver, of course. 9:07, 11:18) and as always they show that they are not worth to drive even an automatic in conditions unless it is a Japanese car. (9:07) (11:18). Another clear demonstration that they are not interested in driving well European vehicles can be seen here: 10:23 a 4 wheel drive car does not skid/drift if you don't want it to skid/drift. The min 12:35 the murcielago "goes long" having good brakes and being four-wheel drive, come on! give more gifts to the gtr to win. at min 14:27 the murcielago stops accelerating. And the end is pathetic, knowing that the murcielago has more torque, more power, four-wheel drive and others, the exit of the car (corner) will always be greater in better or worse conditions but curiously it has not been like that, remember: Japanese program, the Japanese car will always win or will be about to win.

    @coach4050@coach40503 жыл бұрын
    • I agree with you on all points except the 4 wheel drive not skidding/drifting if you don’t want it to. Even if you don’t mean to, with such high powered cars an over eager throttle input or high steering angle under acceleration can do that. I know this because of the car I drive which has 750nm, fairly new tyres and 4 wheel drive... Damn good fun as it grips again almost immediately and fires you out of the corner.

      @a20axf@a20axf3 жыл бұрын
    • @@a20axf what you say is understandable but that assumption is easy to explain: Based on the angle of the curve and the speed that you apply to pass it, you can get out of the corner well (stepping on the accelerator progressively.) or you can leave as you say or the pilot of the turbo s in this video, that as soon as you leave, step on Full throttle causing a tiny understeer, which means that a four-wheel drive does not distribute the weight properly and the engine (especially if it is central or on the rear axle) produces or transmits more power to the rear wheels. Also understeer is also produced by entering a curve with higher speed than necessary. Obviously to make a good lap on the circuit it is better not to do this, but clearly it does it with suspicious intentions, just as the lamborghini gallardo does not change gears when it should and etc... I think you know and understand what I mean.

      @coach4050@coach40503 жыл бұрын
    • @@coach4050 I do indeed understand and yes if you drive the car progressively then yes it really can be very quick indeed. I can switch mine to rear wheel drive electronically and the difference of acceleration out of corners is incredible. In real world situations rather than on a track it gives me far more confidence to use 100% of the power available more of the time. Arguably it removes some fun as you can’t drift the car usually but, that’s up to the individual driver’s preferred style. I should clarify that there are many different physical and electronic configurations differences of the four wheel drive systems used in performance cars. That can make a huge difference with the handling characteristics. Overall though the Murcielago looked like they had deliberately allowed the GTR past as it often didn’t quite have enough power to outrun it on the corner before the tunnel etc. Interesting race between those two excluding the last corner. It amazes me quite how large the GTR looks in this company although it is relatively large and heavy.

Although brakes on the big Lambo is obviously too weak for the job, no issue with that in the GTR and other cars. Also, tyres wise, GTR is the most aggressive after the Lotus, but Nissan also gave the ideal suspension alignment for each GTR during manufacturing, something other brand glossed over by just having one that's not too crappy; until these days when all brands are chasing laptimes. • @EmcIcon I got it, sure laptime of GTR were faster, but why LP640 driver not redlined it? This is racing condition, they are racing driver, & this is supercar with high revving engine, so why not redlined it? The peak power is close to redline, seems the driver were holding back. Also, this is a sprint race, not long distance. race.

      @fajarastanaprima2771@fajarastanaprima27713 жыл бұрын
    • @EmcIcon they are "Racing Driver", their duty is to squeeze out every single power & potential of the car they raced. Also they should able to handle 640 hp, because their race car they competes on the championship are way faster & way more sensitive, & much sharper handling than road legal LP640. So why bother not redlined it? Clearly you never went to track day race & knows the basic of racing.

  • In the final corner of the race, the Murcielago driver shifted gears fairly early, which isn't possible with a naturally aspirated car, and if he drove like that for the whole race, it's no wonder the GTR wins the race.

  • A lot of comments state the obvious; rigged for the GTR win. To their defense though they have revisited the GTR vs Gallardo duel lots of times and each time the GTR lost due to heavy weight and overheating of the tires. They even point that out by saying that the GTR is not true sports car due to unacceptable weight.
