  • I'm SO glad to know Fury is going this direction. I've been screaming about his lack of power since the K fight, and it just kept getting worse. He beat on journeyman Otto Wallin mercilessly for 4 rounds after realizing a punch caused the cut, but he couldn't get him out, and in the post fight interview Wallin looked no worse for the wear - one small mouse under his left eye. That's not good, and if he gives Wilder 12 rounds again to find that one big punch he's going to hit the deck again. So this is absolutely the best route for him at this time. My only fear is that he didn't start this soon enough and on the 22nd he'll get sort of stuck between two styles. Hope not. He's so much bigger than Wilder he should be able to rough him up and wear him down, but only if he has the punching power to back it up. What Wilder says is true: he only needs to be perfect for two seconds.
