The sudden rainstorm that started in the area where we were camping gave us and our tent a difficult time. In this Camp, Mother Nature Challenged Us with All Its Power. The Wind Really Increased Its Strength And This Became A Real Test For My Tent. I hope you like this rainstorm camp in nature with my dog ​​Mars. I was very lucky to have installed side tensioners to protect my tent against the wind while camping, because such a rainstorm could have caused the tent to fly away. Have a nice time and enjoy.

  • As a life-long camper 79 years of age, I saw many problems that could compromise safety. The bowsaw and hatchet are on the ground between you and the exit; in case of sudden darkness, or a flash fire, they are in your way. Speaking of fire, I remain very much against any fire in any tent. Tents, even hot tents, are only flame resistant or flame retardant; they are not flameproof. A kick of the leg during sleep or any sudden move to catch a falling pot can tip the stove over. Kerosine lamps are very useful outside the tent, but your light source inside the tent should be a battery lamp. Though it didn't apply here, a campfire should not be directly in front of the exit or close to your tent and, unless you set up a watch throughout the night, the campfire should be extinguished before retiring. Not to bawl you out, just wanting to keep a fellow camper safe. 😊

  • Really like the tent design, think you could have benefited from a ground sheet or tent floor if that is an option. Also know that a floor, or full ground sheet is not always best when you are hot tenting. You and Mars weathered the storm well and it looked pretty cozy in there, even with the rain and wind. Great experience as usual sir, thanks for bringing us along!

    • Hello. Yes, This Tent Has Become One Of My Favorite Tents. The first thing I observed about the tent is that it is really warm inside. It is perfect for the winter months. Also, it has 6 large windows for the summer months, which is a good thing. Actually, grounded tents are not suitable for me because Mars does not take off his shoes 😂

  • What a great video. I am a bit perplexed as to why you had to keep going out for wood. Even an amateur camper would know to gather all the firewood in advance if there was even the slightest chance of a storm. They would have it cut and stacked inside, just in case. Confused.

  • Used this tent for 1 month trip. It is very poorly designed for the high wind. 2 broken poles, one bended. Wind gets underneath the flaps (which have no gromets or some way to keep them to the ground). This tent needs twice more guylines, better zipper design (they get stuck in corners) and certainly better storage bag (I prfer old style one end side loaded bags with comression straps).

  • Muy ejemplificativo el video. Una consulta de cuantos centímetros son las estacas y cuantas colocarse con la tormenta. Un consejo carpa con piso. Y no romper la madera con la rodilla con el tiempo se te va poder la rodilla. Buenas acampadas❤

  • I don't know why the fire wood should be prepared before the rain came.... the fire wood could be placed inside the tent and cut as needed. The fire wood would be hard to be burned when letting them soaked in the rain.
