You know your craftsmanship and artistry are spot on when you can replicate a key with hand tools. Nicely done!
Thanks man!
I love everything about this and am probably going to give this a go myself sometime. Having said that, my Dodge truck that I drive daily could be started from the factory column keyway with almost anything that could get in there and stir around all the worn out guts inside. I eventually went and got a replacement for it because I didn't want to worry that my kids could probably steal my truck with a popsicle stick
Takes a steady hand to do that! Just dremelling the grooves is way beyond my skills
Not saying it doesn't take skill, but if you use a guide, say a 1 inch pine to keep your hand against, you could do it. Try!
it is worth trying bro
Bro, I hope that ain't a 10mm or else you're gunna lose your key.
Or at least drop it over the engine bay and hope you hear it hit the ground..
Everyone always says the 10mm thing, but it's 12 and 14 for me
It's always the one you need that's missing. No matter the size. :P
Looked like 13
That's just deal sockets for me
As a bonus, you now never will lose your 10mm spanner, or at least will not be able to drive away from it.
Or is he going to never find it, again?
This is the coolest thing I’ve seen this year
That Pferd grinder looks awesome. Nice work.
Wow that’s honestly crazy!! I dont have a key like that but I guess you’ll always be able to get into your truck!
Sure thing!!
Hasane svaka ti čast za kreativnost i veštinu koju poseduješ.Maštovito i praktično 👍🍻
Coolest DYI project I've seen all week!.. 💯🤘
😜🤘🏽🤘🏽
That key is awesome! Great work!
Nice idea and execution, quality craftsmanship I enjoyed watching 👍
This may be the coolest thing I’ve ever seen, seriously! 👏👏
That’s cool, I wish I had the imagination to think of things like that. Cheers Stuart 🇦🇺
The patience and skill is incredible. 👍👊
😜😘
All that matters is it WORKS! Now you have a Spare key for your Ram. Good Job!
Thanks bud!
3 minutes later... “KZheadr Habu’s truck stolen.” I love this! Great job again man!
😜😜
Wow ..beautiful key
Great idea man!
Excelente trabajo 👍
Good idea great key !
Good Work ! 👍
I like it 👍 straight from the lock lab...
Talent and Skill keep it up thanks
I absolutely love this!
Thanks man!
Holly cow doing that by hand is kind of impressive. Making a cavity and silversauldering in the blade of the key might be easier
Nice job
Cool BUT that steel key will destroy the wafers inside your lock cylinder.
Why? Where is the difference to the other one?
@@grauerjoker2705 Keys are normally coated brass which is much softer.
Totally rad
😜👍🏽
Cool idea.
Interesting concept, good carry thru.
Thanks!
Amazing 🤩
Thats pretty Sick!
Dude that is the best thing I have ever seen!!
Thanks man!!
Wine bottle shift lever .....nice
Good job 👍
Thanks! 😊
😜🤘🏽🤘🏽
Outstanding!!
Thanks bud!
@@HABU No problem... I wish I had the skills to do that.
Thats awesome
skill-level: master joda style!!!
🤣🤣😜👍🏽
This is extremely impressive wow
Thanks!
Also einfach in „“ 🔐👍🏼😊
Is eigentlich echt total einfach gewesen!
Sauberes Unikat! Stark!
Dankeschön!
The Best avto DIY I heve ever seen! Hi from Ukraine!
Thank you!
BADASS!.... I want one ‼️
Who not..? 😜😜
Amazing… very cool 👌
Although I really like this.. I would cation you from using this as your daily key. The brass tumblers/spool pins will wear very quickly, causing issues preventing the turning of the cylinder.. Not that you didn't already know this. but in case somebody else doesn't.. Clever though.. as a back up key. heck yes!!!
Dodge steering lock cylinder uses wafers which will deform much faster.
No way!! I thought you were just going to weld the end of the ratchet to your key - not make your own copy of it! Sweet!
Love it!
Very good work 👍 👏 👑
Hol az immobiliser chip?
Végre valakinek eszébe jutott!
Only the dodge keys with the grey plastic are immobilizer (Skimm) keys
Best key ever
Thanks!
Very nice! Love it
Thank you!!
And the key works! 🤯
Sure it does! 😜😜
Lol thats just awesome bro! Bravo bravo! 👏👏👏 Eid mubarak 🎉
making a key without the key making machine. impressive!
Thanks!
Coolnesfaktor 200!!!
😜🤘🏽🤘🏽
@@HABU without a doubt coolest fucking thing I've ever seen.. that's phenomenal talant brother to carve out the key for the truck ignition to accept it. That was the impressive part!!!
Thanks 👍👍
That's bad ass! 🔥🔥🔥
That was cool 👍👍👍
was für eine geile Idee!
😉
That's Dope!
Very good
Cool, I'll send you my Truck key and a 9/16 Ratchet spanner 😏 Job well done!🤙
😜🤘🏽🤘🏽
I approve of this especially if it is a 1/2in or a 10mm so you'll always have one on you at all times.
You know if it is a 10mm it will get lost.
Genius
Love it! The sounds reminded me of the dentist though 😂
Sure! 😜🤘🏽
Diresta has some excellent key related videos but it looks like there might be new Sheriff in town
I agree.
😜😜
Genial!
Dats neat!
I would not sacrifice a good Gear Wrench®. However, since I know that the open end can spread, then that is a great use of the Gear Wrench®.
How is it that it turned on if the key does not have the chip?great job
A 2004 Ram doesn’t have a chip
Sehr nice
I like the idea but would only work for older cars as you need the transponder ... Or the original key to be close by
Clever!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Super!
One week later: Yes, I'd like to exchange this ratchet under warranty.
🤣🤣🤣
So cool 😎
😜😜
Wo good idea
I'm impressed you were able to do this by hand, especially the slots. Thanks for sharing!
So cool! But 1 question Why you don’t just assemble wrench part and car key together?it will be so simple for you ?😉
Because I wanted to have a second key...😉
Wow Epic Can ya make one for my IH Scout?
Subscribed 👍
really i just saw it.. very helpful. what's next. when are you going to my house
GREAT SKILL, BRILLIANT IDEA, AND ... YOU HAVE GOT A NEW FOLLOWER ! 😃🤓 ( THUMB UP 👍 OF COURSE ! ).
Thanks man!!
That's amazing! I wonder what the tolerances are for keys, managed to get it right on the first go I guess!?
Good question... Yeah, first try...
Not that tight, depends also what do you compare it to. My friend Lost his Carl keys and i got Into the car with popsicle stick and started it too. I Have to say that The car was late 80's early 90's Nissan Alto.....
"Typical modern keys require a key relevance of approximately 0.03 millimetres (0.0012 in) to 0.07 millimetres (0.0028 in) (accuracy within 0.75% to 1.75%) in order to operate"
@@TJO1733 just wiggle it enough and it'll go
Impressive
Thanky!
Nicely done, keys can be really tricky sometimes and I've even had some copied professionally that didn't work first time. Definitely a great piece of work! 👍
Thanks man!!
Really cool
Thanks bro!
Unique key.
😊👍🏽
hello what machinery did you use to destroy and give the image to your key greetings it would be a mototol I think not special for that
Nice.
Hello from France ;) Very good job !
That’s cool you have skills man! Thanks for the idea.
Thank you!! 😉
