  • I love everything about this and am probably going to give this a go myself sometime. Having said that, my Dodge truck that I drive daily could be started from the factory column keyway with almost anything that could get in there and stir around all the worn out guts inside. I eventually went and got a replacement for it because I didn't want to worry that my kids could probably steal my truck with a popsicle stick

    • Not saying it doesn't take skill, but if you use a guide, say a 1 inch pine to keep your hand against, you could do it. Try!

    • meinst weil z.B. anschweißen oder mit Nut und Splint? Das wären auf jeden Fall zwei weitere Möglichkeiten für einen Ringratschenautoschlüssel.

  • Lol... als ich das Bild bei Instagram gesehen hatte wäre ich sicher das du den Schlüssel zusammengeschweißt hast, aber das du den komplett manuell aufbaust... einfach Hammer. Wer braucht schon den Schlüsseldienst. Danke fürs Zeigen. Gruß Sascha

  • Although I really like this.. I would cation you from using this as your daily key. The brass tumblers/spool pins will wear very quickly, causing issues preventing the turning of the cylinder.. Not that you didn't already know this. but in case somebody else doesn't.. Clever though.. as a back up key. heck yes!!!

    • Dodge steering lock cylinder uses wafers which will deform much faster.

    • Not that tight, depends also what do you compare it to. My friend Lost his Carl keys and i got Into the car with popsicle stick and started it too. I Have to say that The car was late 80's early 90's Nissan Alto.....
