Agree with you, but also I think that room is so big and maybe they need two different colours for panneling and walls...

OMGosh! Painting ceilings is so difficult. What a champ your dad is. Having your parents around to help, must be a blessing. Your primary suite is coming along so nicely. As a maker myself, who is basically working out of my small dining room, I’m impressed it took you this long to take one of the rooms as a dedicated atelier. I would have been plotting and planning the moment the decision to stop the b&b. 😅 What a dream! Cheers!

I was wondering Anna why your dad doesn't use a pole for the ceiling painting. I am of an age, the less I climb a ladder the better. I just painted the vaulted ceiling in my home and the pole was amazing and very helpful. Yes, one still needs to climb a ladder when cutting in. I love your channel, and feel inspired with all your projects. So happy your parents are there with you all 🥰
Yes, I kept saying to the screen, "Buy a pole!" Even if you're on a ladder, an extension to the handle works so much better, and safer than leaning way over
I just said the same thing to my husband! Why arent they using extension poles? I hate painting ceilings!

I love the color you tested with the brighter white wallpaper. It’s beautiful and shows your design talent. You have to put your talent in your bedroom. Your parents are wonderful people. They come ready to work, yet I love your mom cooking with the girls. That’s what I love doing with my grandchildren. The suite is really coming along and looking great. I was wondering why you havent moved into the old guest rooms. The kids can each have their own rooms and you get the new master suite. I would personally use the upstairs attic as your atelier. I like the basson with the wallpaper ❤

Your parents are lovely! What an amazing difference your dad made, how fun!! And I’m guessing your mum was happy with some grandma time. Color drenching is a technique used to make small rooms seem larger, but you’ve got massive rooms so you don’t need to go that route. And the beauty of color drenching is when you mix sheens and textures to really pop up the interest, because color drenched rooms can otherwise feel boring and incomplete. I think your gorgeous yellow ochre and yellow ochre with white lino-printing is going to be lovely. You’ll get the warmth of a Ziggy colored space with the gorgeous texture of the wallpaper. It’ll be fun. In renovation work there are months of hard work where it doesn’t look like much is happening. My favorite was always when the paint started to go up and from then on the changes happened faster and made a bigger impact. Wishing you all the best in your endless labor of love.

I like the wallpaper with the more subtle color. It will give the room both the modern feel of color drench and fit the feel of the old home. Just a thought.

I think the blue and grey really add some elegant drama which is great for a primary. Save the beige for guest or auxiliary rooms.

Yes, I really liked the elegant softness of the linoprint on the more muted off-white, rather than the bright white, and agree that it will be too busy, but it seems we're in the minority.

The only room in your chateau that doesn’t give me the WOW factor is the dining room. You are an incredible artist & the wallpaper / tiles / painting mural ( bathroom ) you do is out of this world STUNNING 💕🇦🇺💕
I think that once they add the textiles it'll give it a beautiful pop. That room isn't "finished" I don't think.

I have always loved the color of deep, rich blue, as shown in the architects first display, but when I saw the 2nd shade of golden brown displayed I thought that was heaven. I had never considered that I might even like that golden brown shade as a wall color, so I wrote down the architects information for the future. Thanks for sharing.
Not that it matters, but I do love the architects first display. It is SO sophisticated and upscale!
