After multiple visitors hurled water bottles into a chimpanzee’s enclosure at a zoo in China, the angry primate gave the taunting tourists a taste of their own medicine. Unfortunately a young woman and her iPhone took the brunt. Online netizens in China are rushing to the defense of Diu Na Xing, the chimpanzee who is becoming internet famous for furiously chucking mud, stones and items at visitors who tease him at Changsha’s Nanning Zoo. Would you treat a caged animal this way?

    • That’s not strenght is velocity and physics. A humwn can do that is just most throw vertically thus the bottle spins losing momentum the chimp threw horizontally thus making all the terminal velocity travel uninterrupted not to mention Water is more dense than dirt or if thwt bottle was filled with anything but liquid.

    • What's crazy is that most humans are fully capable of throwing 3x faster than a chimp ever could. An average MLB pitcher could easily do 4x as fast as most chimps could at their absolute peak speed, and with accuracy as well. I'm not sure how well it translates from baseballs to water bottles, but dexterity is dexterity.

    • Chimps are inherently dangerous animals, that’s why we shouldn’t keep them in captivity, they have been observed not only doing war type behaviors but torture. This is exhibited in the Gombe war, a group of chimpanzees ganged up and not only killed and mutilated the corpse of the youngling revolutionary chimp, but celebrated afterwards. In other words their society is way to complicated/aggressive to be kept in captivity where humans can make loud noises
