As a Palestinian Arab living in Israel, I can assure you that we do not have the same rights as Jews there is literally the Nation State Law, and "going shopping in Tel Aviv" isn't exactly a measure of equality, peacefulness and harmony...
I am also a palestian arab with the israeli citizenship, and i also 100% feel we dont have the same rights. Especially now with this war, we were being taken over likes on posts sympathizing with gaza and were targeted

I have recently been to Jerusalem in the summer 2023. I am a Muslim, and I am not Palestinian, and the minute I landed in Tel Aviv, I noticed the discrimination I had to face, I went with my teenage girl, and they gave my visa after so much integration and they kept my daughter waiting for 6 hours. She was really traumatised 😢 I missed my taxi. I had to pay extra for the taxi. Even a taxi man was terrified. He told us not to speak Arabic, even though I can't speak any Arabic. I'm not from an Arab country. Coming back at Tela Aviv Airport was a very bad experience. We were told to stand somewhere someone would do security checks. Then, one of the guys kicked my luggage to move quickly. It was a bad experience, I wasn't aware, it would be like that. We were treated like animals. Now I see what Palestinian are facing.
Very true my brother my nephew from South Africa went to work on a kibbutz in the Negev He is a Catholic Christian but his first name is Anver.Boy did they interrogate him they kept him at the airport until the supervisor of the kibbutz came. That nephew came back not liking the Israelis and then he saw how the Palestinians were discriminated very similar to our people under apartheid
Israel has never supported a two state solution and the one state solution they support does not include Palestinians.

I think the narrative has escaped some of the Israeli control and the truth is becoming ever more clear.
I think many come from this point although I would agree they don't want a 2 state because it means giving up on this idea of a greater Israel dominated/total control by those who are Jewish but cannot have a one state where both are equal simply because of the numbers would mean no dominance anymore. Instead they opted for creating conditions where neither can happen but they can still exert control. I wonder if they swapped places for a year whether they would still be talking such nonsense. You can find endless videos of police smashing people up simply for praying. Men, women even children are all fair game and so many not only show no compassion but sheer cruelty & even enjoyment out of attacking/abusing them.

I've been there too, Samantha. If you didn't see the difference in treatment it's because you chose not to see it. The Palestinian who needs to show papers 3 times to move 2 blocks is not going to be allowed entry into Israel let alone allowed to move around freely. Samantha is not being optimistic. I heard this live today, Sangita many thanks for calling out her BS. Over the years on radio and the mainstream media there's been many times voices like "Samantha's" have gone totally unchallenged and therefore allowed the "its complicated" excuse to fester, which has allowed Palestine to basically shrink faster than a melting iceberg on a beach. Once again, many thanks Sangita.

I have been to Israel. Israeli Arab towns (not West Bank or Gaza) do not get the same funding as the rest of Israel. There is an element of discrimination even there.
I understand they don't have hospitals, cinemas or even their own schools. They have to travel miles.

Back in 1985 went on holiday to Isreal and witnessed a Palistian woman being threatened by the IDF for no reason . This was before Hamas existed. Hundreds of abuses have never been reported in the west. This fact . Isreali Jews can not deny this . Well I expect they can.
In the 3 times I've been to Israel in the past, I've seen discrimination both overt and covert. It's most evident when you need to cross borders or checkpoints of any kind. It's presumptuous to claim that just because people aren't overtly oppressed, that they don't experience discrimination or racism of some form.
Is there discrimination in the UK?
No checkpoints. No restrictions of movement based on ethnicity. No one has to walk an hour to buy a loaf of bread which would've ordinarily taken 5mins like in Hebron. No 10hr wait and be humiliated at Airport immigration here based on skin colour. No Christians are being spat on here. None of our MP's call another ethnicity "animals". No one puts anyone in houses based on ethnicity here or steal property like fat Yakob from NY does, etc etc.

From someone who saw the inception of Hamas more than 2 decades ago, I feel the general public is not aware of : Who allowed them to emerge ? Who funded them ? @user-uv9tl4jt8w Just Google it. It is common knowledge how the elections in 2006 came about and how Hamas didn't even want to participate. And then were pushed to do so. And how they surprisingly won. And then how this triggered economic sanctions and a blockade the day after.
President Jimmy Carter oversaw the elections and said they were done correctly and fair. What was not fair is that some powers didn't like the outcome and felt the need to immediately pose sanctions on Gaza, never giving them a chance to thrive with their newly formed goverment

None of whats lead us here is exactly hidden from public view its just most people refused to see what was happening and what was the likely outcome of the situation. When a people are oppressed for a long time its not uncommon for that people to fall under the rule of the extreme view 'strong men' types in order to 'fight back'. A one state solution is the only answer - the callers argument is fundamentally flawed - Israel simply granted equal privileges to window dress 1/3 indigenous Palestinians to reflect a democratic utopian state. Give the other 2/3 the same and guaranteed the conflict will disappear - take South Africa as an example. It will mean Israel will need to abandon its apartheid ideology. The problem does not lie with the Palestinian's it is with Jewish nationalism.

@@sergioaguero7113 the main problem is that what's left of Palestine is so thoroughly settled that there's not really much left to build a separate state out of, unless you forcibly remove millions of Israeli settlers. It was still possible in the 90s, but it's really unclear if it's even possible now, since Israel has turned the West Bank into "Judea and Samaria" in order to make a separate and functioning Palestinian state essentially unfeasible. It seems they have been largely successful in this goal

Since they are illegal to every single country the World over, they should be asked/forced to either return to Israel proper or become Palestinian (with no dual citizenship of both countries allowed). Israel was allowed to forcefully remove 750,000 Palestinians in 1948, so the forceful removal of 800,000 should be relatively easy in 2024.

This is one of the different laws based ethnicity. Isreal is a classic colonial project, a one state solution would mean giving the same rights to Palestinians is West Bank and Gaza since isreal is an occupying power (u wanna argue that too?) , if that happens Pakestinians will become a majority giving an end to a Jewish state, a two state would mean a soveign Palestine according to 1967 UN recognised borders which means a right to self govern and self defense, right to have army. The alternative is oppression
