For those who haven’t watched this here’s what happened so the boy he name is finney and the guy is the grabber he is a kidnapper and he spilled things in a bag right in front of finney on purpose to kidnap him but he didn’t know anything about it and he was scared by the black balloons because when his sister sleeps she has like visions of whatever so she saw all the kids that went missing and they got covered by black balloons to hide them getting kidnapped

EXPLINATION WITH MORE DETAIL!! ALSO TRIGGER WARNING!! In 1978 in a small town there was a kidnapper called the grabber. He only targeted little boys with his victims at the time being GRIFFIN STAGG BILLY SHOWALTER VANCE HOPPER ROBIN ARELLANO BRUCE YAMADA (all fictional) Finney (the boy in the video) had one sister named Gwen. I can’t remember what happened to his mother but unfortunately she is not in his life anymore. Then he and his sister are left alone with their father who is a alcoholic Finney also had one of friend who’s name was Robin and finney wasn’t really friends with Bruce but they had interacted before while playing baseball one day Finneys friend Robin gets kidnapped by the grabber everyone in town is terrified because Vance was the scariest kid in town with Robin being second but now both of them are gone. Later on (as shown in the edit) finney is walking home while his little sister Gwen is staying at a friends house. While Finney is walking home a black van is parked at the side of the road. That black van belonged to the grabber. The grabber then precedes to kidnap by distracting him with a supposed magic trick and black balloons (the balloons were the grabber’s signature trick and sign he was there) he then took finney and locked him in his soundproof basement. Finney during the process of getting kidnapped managed to scratch the grabbers arm really bad with a toy rocket ship that he had. When finney woke up he walked around the basement seeing a toilet. Rolled up rugs. And a mysterious black phone with a cut cored. The grabber came down the stairs greeting finney and telling him how he cut his arm. Later on the grabber brings him down sprite and eggs. Throughout the rest of the movie finney gets phone calls through the black phone from the other kidnapped victims of the grabber while all of them are dead (the ghosts of the victims are who are calling him) the grabber can also hear the phone but chooses to ignore it. during this time Finneys little sister Gwen is having vivid dreams about different things to do with the kidnappings like a tree in the grabber front yard even to his address and house Towards the end of the movie finney ends up getting a phone call from Robin basically saying that Robin is dead. At the end of the movie finney ended up killing the grabber in the basement with a series of traps that the victims had told him how to set up. In the end the police had gone to the wrong house and ended up going to the house across the street from the house finney was trapped in. And found the bodies of the other victims. Finney was able to break out of the basement and get outside the house and reunite with his family and friends again. This is a movie I highly recommend. Man.. after the movie we were going back to the car and i did the classic"tippy toe sprint back to ur room after turning off the lights"all the way to the car💀

For those who are confused: here’s what happened, the boys name is finney and the ”magician” is actually a grabber meaning he kidnappes children and he pretended to drop his groceries so when the kid offers to help and they bend down he pushes them in the black van, but the reason he asked “is that black balloons in there” is bc Finneys sister when she goes to bed she has visions of basements, black balloons ect and when finney (spoiler alert) looked at the balloons the grabber pushed him in and drove him to his house and locked him in a dirty basement the same place where he put his other victims but they are sadly dead.

My heart skipped a beat during this scene bc I knew what was going to happen. Also when he said peachy keen I thought of the honest juice flavor 😄

If you dont get it: The boys name is Finney. The magician guy is called the Grabber. Basically, the grabber has kidnapped a lot of kids, even one of Finney’s friends (who protected him against bullies) and killed them all in his basement. Finney doesnt know this, but he does know a lot of kids have gone missing, however he has an abusive dad who doesnt really care about him. The grabber spills a bag of things on purpose, and then shows Finney a “magic trick” with the black balloons, but in reality he does this to lure Finney in and chloroform him. Finney ends up getting kidnapped and put in the grabbers basement, where a black phone (that supposedly doesnt work), a window with bars, a hole, stairs leading up to a locked door, and a mattress is. The black phone rings every once in a while, with one of the kids that died being on the line. (However, Finney cannot use this phone to dial anybody, he can only recieve the calls from the dead kids.) The kids try to help him escape, but all of these methods do not work. Eventually, the grabber leaves the door unlocked. Finney tries to go up there, but the kids warn him that it’s a trap and that hes waiting up there to kill Finney. Instead, the kids devise a plan to help Finney escape the basement, including a plan from his dead friend on how to fight and kill the Grabber. The only problem is, there is a pitbull that is aggressive, however there is a fridge with meat that Finney uses to tame him. Eventually, Finney uses the escape plan in action, luring the Grabber to charge at him with an axe. Finney makes him fall into the hole and uses the bars from the window to break the Grabbers legs. (During this time, Finneys sister had visions of the house Finney was being kept at. However, when the police come, they search the house across from the Grabbers’.) Then, Finney grabs the cord from the phone and stangles the Grabber. This kills him, and Finney escapes the house. He sees his sister, and eventually paramedics and police assess him, and his father promises to treat him and his sister better. I might have missed some things but this is the main plot from my memory!

Bro the movie is horrifying by just the sounds of it I was on my pc bc playing a game and the sound is just scary on its own but literally when my mom told me it had kids helping ppl escape from the evil dude I was like oh okay 👍🏼 but then she told me they were children who were killed by him and are dead gives me the chills 😢

SPOILER ALERTT!! For those who don't know, Finney was a victim of a kidnapper and was kept in a basement with no sound. The other victims that the kidnapper had killed helped guide him through in order to escape. His best friend was one of the victims and taught him how to fight. Finney would get these calls from this "Black phone" which is the title of the movie. Only a few of those calls would actually work which would give him communication with the victims until they hung up. He was yet the only survivor. Also just an extra detail, his father was abusive to him and his sister while his sister had these dreams/visions of the kidnappings. Her dad gets angry and whips her as she tells him. This is because the mom also had these visions but sadly passed away.
