Ebikes are awesome for people like me that had back surgery and can't enjoy riding a bike. I ride my bike effortlessly across the countryside where I live. Dirt roads and rolling pastures for miles. • @@rider65 , I agree, this video is completely useless to me. People are looking for information you can't get from reading the specification on their website. Like, how does this bike handle doing a 25 foot drop to flat? How does its weight balance feel while doing a whip mid-air etc. It's not a street bike. The most important thing to know when you are spending a lot of money on a product, is the product's limits, so you can safely enjoy it without constantly being worried about breaking it and having to waste money on buying a new one.

They leave it unpainted because if you try to tighten a bolt on a painted surface, by time it will be loosen, because the paint is soft and you can't tight down the screw correctly. So that's why unpainted. Car manifaturers are made the (suspensions,brakes, etc.,) mounting surfaces same unpainted.

I foolishly thought you had rebuilt a crap generic e bike, and named it Sir Ron. 🤣I have aways been interested in rechargeables and now that I have retired overseas, this is the bike I want. I just finished a 20,000-kilometer/ 8 month tour in South East Asia on my Honda CB500X gas bike, but for daily trips around town, or a fun blast on the trails, THIS is the way to go. I'll built a solar car port to charge it, ( I now live in Asia close to the equator so sun is not a problem.) Thank you for your channel, your professional approach, and the fun you inspire!!!!! • Surron is the original innovator. Competition from Talaria, E-bike pro and others should now force them to up their game. Dislike the idea of a limited-time turbo button; I rarely go full throttle on my 72v Surron, but when it is needed to get out of traffic I would hate it to cut out on me - seems dangerous. Excellent video, and so jealous you are on those trails today (I started some preventative maintenance on my bike last weekend, got a screw jammed, and only thing I've prevented is getting out for a ride...glad that at least I can watch Sur Ronster!)

I can't imagine riding 50 miles an hour with cable brakes wheel bearings probably are whack, I get the niche market thing and some of the torque for a small trial bike but beyond that they are definitely designed with planned obsolescence in mind and not for longevity I feel this juncture I'm just being ripped off. I guess it may work out with price per thrill but I'd rather have something have maintains value and the battery doesn't define that. I bet the AppleCare type of insurance extended warranties are the business to be in with these machines. Cheers

I have to chuckle when the ebike is described as being so powerful with 60 mph top speed when I can do 80 mph in 1st gear and close to 200 mph for close to the same price and have a bike that will increase or maintain it's value. I also question the overall quality and cost to manufacture these ebikes for maximum profit. I know how my Ducati was built and the cost of the components used. • I worry the motor isn't the newer style internal permanent magnet (IPM) type that the Talaria Sting R is using. If it's the old bonded rotor style of the surron, it'll still run super hot when pushed, and heat soaking is always a problem. Also, if it's using that weird dual-drive thing with a belt on the left side like the surron, driving a jackshaft, that then drives another sprocket to the rear wheel, that's a deal breaker. I also worry the battery is using the older, weaker, hotter running 18650 cells instead of the newer more powerful 21700 cells. I still am gonna have to say the Talaria Sting R is a better bike to buy. It has the IPM motor, a much better rear swing arm, gearbox transmission instead of the exposed jackshaft, and better battery tray location. Toss a good 21700 battery and a controller for 72v, swap the wheel set out for something you can beat on off-road, it's the goat.

    @hed420@hed4206 ай бұрын
    • Dumping ALL the power into the system heats up the battery and will damage it if it is kept going too long. My guess is that this is why they time limit it. A thermal limit would be more accurate but that would not be a constant variable so offering a knowable time limit is probably best. This e-bike is fast enoug as it is so turbo is not something you will need on a constant basis.
