Thank you Larian for making this game!

  • Fun fact: This tune has been in every single Larian Studios game dating all the way back to their first, Divine Divinity. Back then, it was called "Drunk with Dwarven Mirth" and was composed by the late Kirill Pokrovsky (rest his soul,) who was an absolute prodigy who understood the nuance and emotional gravity that music could carry. Larian's current composer, Borislav Slavov, has preserved Kirill's legacy spectacularly.

  • You see, Larian didn't have to make all of the instruments play the songs. But they did it anyway. They didn't have to make them sound unique. But they did it anyway. They certainly didn't have to make them interact together so beautifully... But I'm so glad they did it anyway. This, this tiny detail, is what makes me love BG3. Because they didn't have to: but they did it anyway.

You can already imagine Beast on his ship whistling this, or maybe Tav whistling it while on the road, or even the Hobbits from the Tolkien universe whistling it while going about their day in the Shire. • i really love how each instrument add a layer to the piece adding different emotions as they begin joining in you can almost create a whole story just by the the feeling they add. First the lute at the beginning is coquettish but honest in his intent is not exactly flirty since its an honest and clean tone. Almost as if it was a charismatic young sailor a little bit flamboyant but honest nonetheless asking for an intent to see again the lady in the balcony and gain her attention When the harp joins the melody becomes a back and fort were one tries to respond to the other, as both are string instruments. its the maiden answering to the sailor. She is interested but reluctant, he seems honest and she likes that, but she is not sure if she should escape in the middle of the night to meet him, so she is playing hard to get by. When the drums join in, it becomes a more moved piece, the sailor is more verbosse than a bard and has made a quite charming introduction of himself its very clear he has won. The maiden has made up her mind, she is going to see him tonight and she is decided on it. the flute joins and it becomes instantly a better day for the sailor, as he walks away of the balcony knowing damm well he has won. Walking through a path of flowers that seems way more colorfull than they were when he walked in earlier that morning. then the violins hits and it becomes moment to just let sink what he has done. He stops to see the flowers more carefully, one hand on his chin and the other supporting the one on the chin, he leans over to the flowers with a dumb smirk on his face as he acknowledges what he has done, he just won the hearth of lady Findegard, the same one that would not batter an eye on anyone on the ship his smile is wider and full of pride. and lastly the whistles begins and you could even say that the wistles comes from the sailor himself, who now just proven himself that being honest is worthy. Remebering all his crewmates that laughed at him when he said that there was nothing wrong with being honest with a lady, they said that most women would laught at him. He is the one laughin now. Intents to keep being like this no matter what. He walks away along the flowers with his head up, waiting for the sun to hide.

  • I'm doing an all-bard playthrough right now with two friends and Astarion, and in combat, we often start performing a song before we end our turns. One by one our merry little band joins up and we're all playing the same song by the time we get to the last person in the turn order. If you get hit by an attack then you stop playing, but if you dodge it successfully, you continue playing. So if we're lucky, our characters merrily sidestep incoming sword blows with a "Ha-ha!" and keep playing their jaunty tunes together. It feels like we're styling on the enemies and showing off xD
