  • I've been using baby lotion with stencils. It works quite well for me. I made several trays for Christmas (2023) gifts. I've also rubbed the mold with mica power first then put the stencil dpwn to covering it with lotion. It worked really well. I did leave the lotion on for several hours to days just depending on my schedule. Lotion whipped off really easily. I'm also wanting to do cameos. Looking for small face and animals stencils to work with.

I have a lot of small ones, even brass ones, and I keep those in a cheap photo album I got at the dollar store, because they are about the size of a photo (remember those?) and each folder holds one. I use a large paper clip to keep the top of each sleeve closed.

  • I have seen another youtuber use lotion instead of Vaseline and it comes out gorgeous. It goes on a little easier if you put it in a precision glue bottle before applying it. Then you can use stencils or not if you choose. And easy to wipe away mistakes. He used uv resin, but may work with regular resin. I do not know for certain.

    @nellgibson8270@nellgibson8270Ай бұрын
  • I'm still getting started with non-uv resin, but if I put acrylic paint in the indentations, and then did a layer over the whole thing of transparent resin that would seal the paint in as well right?
