My grandma was a cop, and when I was a kid, she would always tell me fun stories of things she did on the job, and the only thing I remember was that I was absolutely delighted whenever she told stories about when they had to go under cover. A few years later, she died. I’ll miss you, grandma.

Years back I was staying the night at my cousin's place, pretty much was a weekly thing. We'd drink beer all weekend playing Street Fighter and Tekken all night. Always heard the old lady that lived above him coughing real loud. A few weeks go by and we realize we hadn't heard her coughing and joked about her falling and not being able to get up or something. I'm taking a shit in the restroom and get startled by a maggot crawling around, look all around the restroom, see nothing, notice one fall from the vent above. Call cousin over and show him, his girlfriend freaks and calls the cops. They go in and run out vomiting, we were outside watching them. Poor old lady passed away and her family didn't care enough to check on her or anything. The smell was so bad it started to seep into their apartment. They gave my cousin this real weird looking thing that looked like a fan/heater that attempts to neutralize the smell. Never gonna forget that.
Not a cop, (and I wasn't born yet when it happened.) My Dad (when he was a teen or early adult) found a cow in the basement. Apparently, my late grandpa stole the cow, placed it in the trunk of his car somehow, & wrestled the thing into the basement. Not sure how he did it. The cow was livid & tried to escape, but was somehow put in a headlock. Later the cow was served for dinner & other meals. The basement was covered in blood & everything. Took a while to clean it, from what I heard. Not sure how any land lords or neighbors didn't notice my grandpa wrestling a cow into the basement; I believe at the time, my Dad's family was living in some kind of apartment building, like most immigrants did in NY. Unless it was after the apartment fire & moving to a suburban home. Where he stole the cow from, I'll never know. But I assume it was delicious.

Fire department uncle, house fire , 1 dead/missing. Fire gets put out, now they have to find the dead guy to confirm/remove it. Turns out the guy died right in front of the door and everyone has been walking around with this guys bunt flesh on their shoes for about an hour. He said it looked like burnt lasagna that you cut with a poorly edged spatula.

When i was young i took off to a party. The next day had a officer come get me and take me home. So we started talking. He told me his first ever call he went too. He was to go check on a lil old lady not seen for a while. They unlocked her apartment and went in. He said the smell he'll never forget of rotting flesh. There she was on the floor. Skin rotting and had been there for some time. As he went close to her to look at her do something she fucking moved. She was still alive. He said that actually fucked him up for a while. Had to go to counseling for it.

A cop once told me a story where they were dispatched to a neighborhood to investigate a very pungent smell they checked one of the houses and when they opened the door a swarm of flies came out, inside a man had been dead on the couch for several weeks and was very rotten, said the guy's skin had become black (he was white), he had rotted into the couch and there were stalagtites of rotten flesh forming on the basement ceiling beneath him, neighbors had just assumed he was on vacation or something of the sort The cop said that memory will always be stuck with him

I guess we won't know. If he voluntarily let people use his computer it would be stupid of him to do so... but wouldn't be the first dumb criminal. But well if it was someone else what could he do to prove it? Military court is not fun
perhaps the date and time of the files copied/downloaded to the computer if it was gradual, then it was downloaded on said computer if the file is there at the same time, they're copied into it from an external drive the time also shows as a frame of alibi : "Where is he at that time?" if he's definitely not there at that time, then it's obviously not him if he's there at that time, then it weighs on him or anyone else in that room at the time if there's anyone else on that time and place, they become second suspect
Or it could be that he was picked as the person to be made an example of and they threw the book at him.

As I stepped outside for lunch break, I noticed large bellowing of smoke rising from behind the store. I called the fire department to report the fire. Keep in mind, there was a police cruiser, right next to the building, and he never noticed.

They open to the cabinet and found him contorted into a very small space that was about to square feet total a little less than that. A good way to hide a body is to put it into a cement wall but you have to put the body in there while the cement is wet😅and to not be found always wear gloves!!! I haven’t killed anybody just giving tips😂 I am young

The last story really touched me. I have a younger brother who is, let's say different, and for years I've took care of him exactly like that, and this just feels like something that could've happen.. I cried a bit

Bacteria begins to eat your body shortly after death. After several weeks of warm weather (warm enough to not inhibit the bacteria) and presumably also humid enough, everything besides bone and hair will be consumed. Nature likes to recycle.

If I remember correctly I heard from a police officer that during an operation they went into a basement and found a sex dungeon with a guy tied up in a chair as they get him out ask him he said that a girl has been raping him until she came in she was later arrested for rape. It was wierd and feels very wrong

My dad responded to a call where a really obese lady died on the toilet. It was a heart attack. She lived in a really small trailer, so they had to cut out a wall to get to her lol

My step dad works for a train company and had to respond to train accidents/ workers getting killed. When a rail worker would get coupled up between the rail cars they would live long enough to call the significant other to the scene so they could say goodbye before uncoupling the cars and the worker would quickly bleed out.
One my teachers (Mrs C) used to be a real estate agent and somebody called up the agency because this old lady hadn't been seen leaving her house for 2 weeks straight. Mrs C went inside the old lady's house and the old lady was now a liquefying, decomposing corpse.
