THE BEAUTIFUL ISLAND OF ST. MICHAEL'S MOUNT IN CORNWALL & A DREAMY B&B NEAR DOWNTON ABBEY// Happy Friday, In today's shorter episode, we're visiting the beautiful island of St. Michael's Mount in Cornwall. We visited 26 years ago and can really recommend it. If you get the chance, it's best to visit off season because then you can really enjoy the tidal island, its castle and the gardens.
After that we headed to Berkshire to stay at a gorgeous Bed & Breakfast just around the corner from Downton Abbey (Highclere Castle) because we finally had the chance to visit. Coming up in the next video. Have a lovely weekend. Kirsten & Joerg xx

Just what I needed this afternoon. So lovely. Blue is your color for the B&B. One of your best accommodations. Better two dogs than the crowds and such a good dog. A dog knows a kind soul and voice. Have a great time at Downton Abbey.
First it was the Cotswolds. Then it was Yorkshire. Then the Jurassic coast. And now Cornwall has been added onto my list. Will the beauty never end? I hope not. 😍

Last time we went to visit our daughter, we went to Cornwall for the first time. We stayed in St Ives and, from there, we went to visit Poldark's mines (we enjoyed the series so much) and St Michael's Mount. It was a misty day to visit Botallack mine , very romantic, and we walked to St Michael's' Mount and came back by boat. The gardens were closed but we visited the castle. Thank you for these beautiful videos which bring back so happy memories.

Two of my favorite places and the two people on KZhead I enjoy the most ! You have a knack for choosing the loveliest music to accompany your videos . We visited St. Michael's Mount in 2008 and it is a beautiful, amazing place . They even have a full on Samurai suit on display which was a very cool and unexpected surprise . Being a Downton Abbey fan I've dreamed of visiting Highclere . Fun fact , my cousins are featured in the Highclere Christmas book having a drink with the Earl of Carnarvon . Unfortunately a lot of places are difficult to get to without a car as the train stations are miles away and there are no buses . I can't wait to see your Highclere visit ! I feel so sad for travelers who stay in giant hotels with no history and no beauty. You always stay in lovely B&B's, serene surroundings, and history galore. It reminds me so much of Mount St. Michel in France! The gardens are stunning. What a shame that it was so crowded. The B & B near Downton was lovely.

Wonderful vlog. I have been to Mont St Michel many years ago and walked over to the island. We have been to St Michaels Mount also but because I am now 85 couldn’t make the trip only see it from the shore.❤️❤️❤️

Understood just what you said.Cannot wait to see Downton Abby Highclere mansion and gardens! This castle/ B&B looks like a perfect place to go, but when so busy it is not as fun maybe as when feeling more alone, and much louder. You are both seeing the most lovely places and thank you for taking us all along with you.

We went to St Michael's mount a few years ago, it's really lovely there, the walk up to the castle was very exhausting but well worth it. I once had the blue and white set you had at the bed and breakfast it was called Indies, can't remember the maker, I really miss it as I love blue and white china. Will look forward to your next instalment. Thanks xxx

Thanks so much! Aww we both film (we have 2 cameras) and I (Kirsten) do the whole editing. It takes a lot of time and wouldn’t be possible for Joerg to do with his job. It's a full time job hence I'm now doing KZhead full time.

Love Cornwall I dream of going back on a daily basis yes I really do and I am lucky enough to have been to St Michael's Mount can, you imagine living there in the castle when the sea is crashing against it .... must be spectacular. The b&b was beautiful you, found a gem there . Your living such a lovely life I am envious is the nicest of ways ... oh to have a companion to go exploring with ... well just having the companion would be a start lol . Thank you! No, it’s less fortunate, it’s how we plan it. We usually go to places first thing as soon as they open so we know we can film. We only got a later time slot for this place (past 10) which made it tricky
