Spent some weeks with Abi and her cubs. They are 1.5 years old now. Growing and maturing. Last time they hunted down a Blesbok. This visit they got to relax. Kimi is doing better than expected. Her personality and temperament is what I was hoping for. Kayzer is more of a boy maturing... Abi is great too and they STILL live together.
I suspect Abi will want to separate from her cubs within the next 6 months as that is when female cheetahs have completed their duties of raising their cubs (2 years). She may want to breed again and that's when she will want her own camp, away from her cubs. Kimi will have similar desires in the near future. It;s my plan for Kimi... when she decides and why I want her so calm around people and strangers. One day she may visit a cheetah project to breed and when fearful of new things and people, that does not work well in breeding. Remember I don't own Kayzer so his future will be decided by Running Wild Conservation.
Thanks for watching!

It’s a shame how KZhead abuses the algorithm. This deserves way more views
I'm glad you think so! Thx.
The algorithm led me here. Rescued German Shepherd > rescued foxes > purring cheetah cubs.
They're so funny playing, sharing toys and fighting over water 😂 real cats indeed!
I Know! They are quite funny... just being themselves.
The noises they make is just adorable. I love all cats and I really wish I could visit this place and play with them for a while. I always get scratched to the point where my arms are covered in blood but I don't care, it's the price you pay for the privilige of being able to play with them. No pain, no gain as they say. The scars are totally worth it, no regrets.
These cats can be ethically trained not to bite or scratch using operant conditioning and lots of zoos train theirs for all sorts of things, like even drawing blood. I can't spend the time with mine to train them for their benefit yet due to time and place, but will when I have my own property one day. I volunteer and keep my cheetahs 🐆 at Running Wild Conservation in South Africa. The have a nice volly program where some of the cheetahs are friendly and get enrichment walks and hand feedings.
@@CheetahWhisperer Yes I've watched the videos like the ones with Gabriel or Abi and her cubs and I love how you interact with all of them and teach those that can be released into the wild how to hunt and all the skills they need to survive on their own. It's a shame Gabriel can't do that but maybe he can still be a father some day. Too bad that one female he seems so interested in doesn't seem to like him. Keep up all the good work, I've been subscribed for a little over a year now and I've been binch watching all the videos lately. I love watching these videos, the narration you do and the way you explain things are really well done and I've learned a lot about the differences in behavior of various big cats as well as the sounds they make. Cheers!

wish i could pet one like that one day. such precious amazing animals
I could pet all the cats in the world...
i love cheetahs they are my favourite animal in the world and love learning about them and i love their names and they are so amazing and wonderful animals
I’m so glad to see Kimi and Kayzer growing up stronger together, all healthy and happy! 🥹 Thank you for the adorable and informative content as usual!
Welcome! Key here is togetherness! With Abi mom too... One day they'll be separated. Mom will want to leave them as nature calls as well as Kimi. The urge to separate happens sometime after the cubs turn 2 years old. It's what happens in nature that way.
@@CheetahWhisperer I’m assuming that the separation occurs when the cubs reach sexual maturity and harmony among them start to fracture (and perhaps turn into rivalry), am I correct or does the age of 2 years mean something else?
Yeah, especially in the wild. The female cub will want to separate and the mom. The male brothers will stay together as and form a collation until they die. Some outside unrelated males could join and even a related female for awhile. Mom will want to breed again and the female cub will too. In captivity, the mom can become more intolerant of the cubs and want to separate. You really have too because the male cubs when mature may become aroused by their mom and want to mate with her. I've seen that. It's how cheetahs survived the last Ice Age. Incest. And they still get those urges. I've seen where brother and sister can live together without that, though. There are couple of pairs of brother and sister that do not want to mate with each other. But, the female will not likely go into estrus living with their sisters and brothers. They must be separated to influence their hormones. THis is a cheetah breeding and rewilding center so having them ready to breed responsibly is the goal.@@kkhariy48
Out of all the kitties, gabriel has always been my favourite 🤭
That's so wonderful. Mine too, but because Gabriel is the 1st cheetah I ever met and we hit it off purrfect. So worried about him. He's 10 now and getting older. He's enjoying good health so far. Most that live that long begin to fade by 13-15. Some live until over 20. That is life expectancy for captive ones that have good lives. Half that in the wild if lucky.
@@CheetahWhisperer - I understand! I adopted older cats and I have to get ready for SERIOUS heartbreak one day. You’ve given Gabriel a lifetime of happiness, good food and safety, so, try to focus on the joy you’ve had together as Gabriel gets older.
Thanks for keeping us updated on the cubs

So, so sweet and intelligent big cats! Guess having some vigilance towards humans like Abi does helps them survive better in the unknown wilderness. Amazing to see the trust you have with them!
Cheetahs are WONDERFUL... As you can see a joy to care for. Even Abi with her hissing and spitting. Just give them patience and love.
Thats made my morning, I love to see your cheetah videos

So adorable watching these cheetahs grow from little adorable cubs to big adorable killing machines 🥹 Kayzer still has that Baby look like when he was a cub. Glad Abi is doing good too. Such majestic creatures. Thx for sharing this with us

I really love their adorable little cheeps! We got a new kitty last year, she started limping too, but it was probably just from playing too hard. They're looking so good and healthy, I hope that continues! :)
They are cute with their HIGH pitched screeches. Like when Kimi tries to take her brothers zebra tail away from him. 07:30

I was worried at first that Kimi may have developed her moms hip issues, so glad that's not the case
Me too! I was worried it was some genetic defect Abi passed on. But relieved it was just an injury that she recovered from 100%.
Thank you for raising this cubs to adoult ceetahs. ❤
Sure thing. It is the BEST. No sicknesses and one injury, but a full recovery. When cheetahs or any animal is NOT raised by mom's milk and company, they risk serious health and development issues. I've seen it and so togetherness for mom and cubs is essential for me. Sometimes, wild moms DO reject their cubs but rare.
This made my Sunday morning in Australia! Respect to you for everything you do.@@CheetahWhisperer
So great! Wish cheetahs were living wild in Australia! Ok, not really. Not native and would decimate the local populations like house cats and wild dogs and other invasive species. Wonder if a cheetah like cat ever existed in Australia or New Zealand. Doubt it or the fossil record would show it. Great unique species in Australia. I DO wish the Tasmanian Wolf still existed. Let's bring it back... cloning. @@ohwhyevenbother
No place for Cheetah's here because of well.......Australia lefty greeny nanny state. I doubt anyone would even be allowed to breed them here on a feasible scale for wild re population. This why we need YOU man! Have a great week.@@CheetahWhisperer

Ahmen...
Beautiful cats!
Truly are. What a pleasure to have the exist...
Cheetahs are such adorable wild cats!
I know! So tender and helpless. They tend to be nice later in life if raised properly. Big camp, low stress, good nutrition, mom involved, interacted with to reduce stress and so forth.
So excited to see the newest video. Thank you so much.😁
Well thanks for being a fan! I'll have another Short out soon.
I must say the uploading of video's and shorts has been going well this month 1 video and 2 shorts that quite somthing for someon who has a jov besides youtube and has to do all the editing on his own great work 👏👏
Thx! I'm not feeling well at the moment so not working on one now. Started though.
@@CheetahWhisperer oh i hope you get beter soon iam already exited for for the video
I wouldn't be surprised if Abi was acting these days when it comes to having to reacquaint youself with her, she knows that it nets her a treat. I mean, if dogs and cats are smart enough to develop that kind of behavior, cheetahs certainly are too.
That is interesting, but yeah animals train us! Abi is very nice but afraid of most men and some women. It got worse when she had cubs, with the hormones. Not mean but doesn't want contact anymore from those she doesn't like. I only get to see her every 6mo and why I lose all my progress with her. My beard is probably the worst she dislikes but I need it for the other cheetahs that like to groom it.
Kitty! This is definitely how I’ll die lol. Petting something I shouldn’t. Great job, they love you I think.
you too huh? I'm glad I don't like anywhere near wild cats, like lions, tigers, or even bobcats. My dumb ass would go "Kitty! here kitty-kitty!" the moment I saw one... and then get torn to ribbons shortly thereafter.

@@CheetahWhisperer yeah me too i always tought wild aninald couldnt be friendly let alone your friends the world is full of surprises i gues
@@deandewilde4658 BUT the smaller the cat or animal, the less likely you'll get injured or DEAD. So be careful. All these animals/cheetahs smaller lesser cats are Individuals with unique temperaments and responses to things. You and I can be hurt or even killed. Especially the larger you go UP in the predator world. Maintaining a positive relationship with them is best but it has its risks too. A spouse of one of these predator places, forget where, had a lion that reached out and grabbed her leg, cutting into her artery. She died of blood letting because no one around knew how to use a tourniquet.

Glad I got another video out! I'll probably work on a quicker release SHORT next. They are all doing well which is a relief. Gabriel does not like male cheetahs and only liked two females in his life. He tolerates a neighbor male cheetah named Wesley who is a "wild" cheetah but is VERY calm and not antagonistic to any cheetah. So Gabriel ignores him mostly. It's why he can be next to Gabriel. Gabe fights between the fencing at males he does not like and hurts himself. He can't be next to most male cheetahs. Females ignore him but other males will fight back. But not Wesley.
@@CheetahWhisperer oh cant wait to see the short short or video both ate enjoyable and fun from you i hope gabriel can find a female he likes and that she likes gabe too and that they will have cubs so gabriels genes can live on
Sadly, the one female Gabriel was NUTS over died earlier this year from liver failure. She was young too. Think it was bad supplements from a company that had changed formula with too much Vit A, which is deadly. We switched to a better proven brand. Gabe used to call to her and follow her down the fence all the time. @@deandewilde4658

My right ear enjoyed this. On a different note, how do y'all identify the different named Cheetahs? It's hard to know one from the other through a 2D medium video.
I'm amazed that these cheetahs are better identifying each other than me. But you recognize each individual pretty easily after being with them day in/out. I only get to visit every 6mo, but I learned their faces, expressions, way the move, walk, run, play beg for food, size, colors, and pattern in their faces.
Sp they are a bit different that house cats. House cats mostly bring the toy back to you 😂

even in episode not headlining Gabe still makes a cameo because hes buddy with Dolph and always will be given pettings whenever slightest chance of justification arises .) good. So if Kimi rejects Gabriel, i assume that will net her on loan to some other breeding programme for exchange ? girl is going on world tour for love - excellent. (i personally ship cheetah breeding programmes - helps preserve most charismatic of big cats) I always wondered how their coalitions assemble, tho i do vaguely recall those tend to be family units (as likely mentioned here or by some other feline handler). Sad that Gabriel dose not get more cheetah buddies but at least he has human buddies.
That's RIGHT! Gabriel photo/video bombs almost EVERY posting here 🎥🐆. Some cheetahs LIKE the tough facade behavior that Gabriel has, because it instinctually means they will produce tougher surviving cubs in their mind. Some cheetahs like the way another smells, also instinctive as the ones that smell the most different are the MOST diverse... prevents incest. Some like the colors of certain cheetahs. SO, Kimi may actually select Gabriel as a mate in years to come. But Gabriel will need to like the estrus scent of her to prevent a fight. Gabriel doesn't have many more years left, he's 10 now. Lucky to make 15. Kimi may select someone else, but that is my goal for her to bare cubs when she is ready. The colations form between male brothers mostly. Last a lifetime. Some other males may be allowed to join but could be killed if not liked. Some related females can join temporarily until they leave to mate with other male cheetahs. Thanks for WATCHING!

Hey Dolph been a while ...I guess who no longer do the videos on ACE property and working on your own at another location? would you say the Cheetah is the most potential to be tamed of the big cats? Ever work with a previously long term abused cheetah and how long before they trusted you and potentially other humans?
I'm STILL looking for my own game farm/reserve to run my own project. I can't expand now because I have to rent limited space for my 3 cheetahs. Can't afford a large reserve I need and waiting for resources from potential partners to buy one. It does not look promising. Cheetahs as pets is a bad idea. They are endangers and focus should be reserving space for them, breeding projects that release and conservation efforts in all areas. As pets they do t breed and are very sensitive to a lot of stressful things and special diets and avoidance. Never tried taming a wild cheetah. It'd difficult but heard it happens. They do get better and less stressed over time if respected and loved and given walks in passage ways.
Hey dolph might be a wierd question but since your a person farr more expirianced in life i need your help i like this girl at school but i dont know how to tell her so...do you have any advice or somthing?
1st don't take it badly if she does not like you back. Liking and loving someone takes time anyway. There are lots of other potential matched partners out there. If a bit shy, leave her secret admirer notes, physical ones in her locker or somewhere she frequents. Tell her what attracts you to her, don't be vulgar. After several notes, ask her to leave one for you somewhere only you can retrieve unnoticed. Hopefully she gets attracted. Most women, girls are not really into looks about someone but love when someone is into them. Then one note ask to meet for lunch or dinner, at Chick-fa-lea or somewhere. Not the best advice, but safe if you are sensitive about rejection. Don't be...

@@deandewilde4658 It's called a 'secret admirer'. Place several notes over a 2 week period where only SHE will find it, address to her by her name, in case someone else gets it. You can even have it delivered special Currier to her at school. Put it on/in her locker, maybe desk she sits, under her car windshield wiper, ect. But NOT at her house. Don't want to be a stalker. Last note is asking to meet. Tell her about your self in the note too. NOT too long or much. Save the big things about yourself for talking when you 1st meet at a public safe space.
