Wow that man using the oxy has some serious skills. Keeping a molten puddle of aluminium and not having it spill out every where takes years of practice. Very impressive. Cheers Stuart 🇦🇺
Absolutely, but illegal here in Australia.
@@BrucePierson True but anything goes over there. I certainly wouldn’t fit that to my car😂😂
I note how he checks the quality of his badly oxidised weak weld by X-ray after finishing the machining. Bondo and paint make him the welder he aint. And the man on the lathe does his centering by eye. Here in darkest Africa we use micrometers and Tig welding

Amazing skills with basic machinery and tools!
Okay, that is some impressive can do workmanship there. I have welded aluminum with a torch and I know how difficult that is. The lathe work was good too. I get it, you are making due with what you have. Well done.

Clearly a skilled craftsman. Even more clearly, I’ll never knowingly be on the road with that wheel under me.
Top job men ,love seeing things rebuilt ,most western countries just bin it.
It's all about cost effectiveness. The reason they bin it it's because it costs less to buy a new one than to pay someone labor to repair it. And liability.

They value a rim over human life
@@rd-ch1on Is it so much worse than the original rim? That's also just aluminium melted and silidified. And when a rim fails it rately costs a life. Traffic safety is starting to get to a point where it takes An increasing amount of frustration, just to save a decreasing amount of lives. Maybe. That trend really needs to be stopped.
@@rd-ch1on If it did cost some lives when the rim originally broke, the damage to the rim would have been worse than what we saw. Plus, I believe that with the kind of skills these people have, I'm sure that they know the limitations of their work in relation to relative safety. Besides, if we really think about it, comparing what these people do to make do of what they have that is essential to their lives, to what the western people do for fun like bungee jumping, para-gliding, swimming with sharks, and other dangerous sports, I would choose these dudes.

Water must be at a premium. Why not wash the wheels before painting them. Maybe even before brazing them.

Junk weld on junk rims.....
oiiii amigo muito bom trabalho parabéns meu like
Son realmente artesanos esta gente increíble las cosas q arreglan y fabrican
That rod they are using to weld to the rim is actually a type of pot metal. Very soft and easy to melt. Aluminum takes a LOT more heat to melt and does not flow that way. I would hate to have one of these wheels on a vehicle I'm driving. That stuff is easy to break. But they use what they have. Hats off to them.
And if it was someone in the west doing it with the same gear for a collectors Ferrari we’d all applaud.
Good luck getting that rim to balance, or stay together for very long for that matter.
@MichelleZ You have absolutely no idea what the car is capable of, Skippy!

Fascinating. The skill is over the top. Meanwhile, I work near a scrap yard that has mountains of pallets full of rims that are being sent for recycling. These are wheels that come off of cars that are being scrapped. The world is a big place with ends that would not recognize each other.
theres a russian guy on here does the same kind of work but makes this guy look like an amateur

You wouldn't buy any wheels from this guy🤣
This is a scrap rim, melt it down and use the material for something new. Even IF this repair is solid, you're not going to be balancing this rim.
Scrap yards here have thousands of perfect rims off scrapped cars.. And none of those wind up there..

Question: "Is Jesus the only way to Heaven?" Answer: Yes, Jesus is the only way to heaven. Such an exclusive statement may confuse, surprise, or even offend, but it is true nonetheless. The Bible teaches that there is no other way to salvation than through Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself says in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” He is not a way, as in one of many; He is the way, as in the one and only. No one, regardless of reputation, achievement, special knowledge, or personal holiness, can come to God the Father except through Jesus. Jesus is the only way to heaven for several reasons. Jesus was “chosen by God” to be the Savior (1 Peter 2:4). Jesus is the only One to have come down from heaven and returned there (John 3:13). He is the only person to have lived a perfect human life (Hebrews 4:15). He is the only sacrifice for sin (1 John 2:2; Hebrews 10:26). He alone fulfilled the Law and the Prophets (Matthew 5:17). He is the only man to have conquered death forever (Hebrews 2:14-15). He is the only Mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). He is the only man whom God has “exalted . . . to the highest place” (Philippians 2:9). Jesus spoke of Himself as the only way to heaven in several places besides John 14:6. He presented Himself as the object of faith in Matthew 7:21-27. He said His words are life (John 6:63). He promised that those who believe in Him will have eternal life (John 3:14-15). He is the gate of the sheep (John 10:7); the bread of life (John 6:35); and the resurrection (John 11:25). No one else can rightly claim those titles. The apostles’ preaching focused on the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Peter, speaking to the Sanhedrin, clearly proclaimed Jesus as the only way to heaven: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Paul, speaking to the synagogue in Antioch, singled out Jesus as the Savior: “I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin” (Acts 13:38-39). John, writing to the church at large, specifies the name of Christ as the basis of our forgiveness: “I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name” (1 John 2:12). No one but Jesus can forgive sin. Eternal life in heaven is made possible only through Christ. Jesus prayed, “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent” (John 17:3). To receive God’s free gift of salvation, we must look to Jesus and Jesus alone. We must trust in Jesus’ death on the cross as our payment for sin and in His resurrection. “This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe” (Romans 3:22). At one point in Jesus’ ministry, many of the crowd were turning their backs on Him and leaving in hopes of finding another savior. Jesus asked the Twelve, “Do you want to go away as well?” (John 6:67, ESV). Peter’s reply is exactly right: “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God” (John 6:68-69, ESV). May we all share Peter’s faith that eternal life resides only in Jesus Christ.

Another quick way to get to heaven is to drive on such a repaired wheel at over 50mph. Impressive skills but no QC control 🙀
@@bunkydon well said brother bad enough they coming knocking on the door, stay safe take care cheers KC Tassie Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺🤝😎🙂👍
The repair looks visually good but I don't know about the strength. The heat from the brazing may change the properties of the original material and may form weak points. At high speed, the repaired portion may fail and cause an accident. Personally if I have such damage, better to dispose and buy another one. Safety more important than money.
No such thing a high speed in Pakistan, just waiting for next pot hole, buy another one? Two weeks wages!
It’s a cast wheel, weak to begin with....
Safety is always more important money...... unless you don't have any!

, это лечебная грязь.
But the solder used is not as strong as the aluminum alloy metal, hence that repaired area, although it does look good, is prone to catastrophic failure.
It looks like he used Lead (Pb) to fill the broken space and that is going to heavier and weaker and balancing the wheel would be difficult.
@@harshabiliangady3211 he used an aluminum rod. Lead is soft and would not stick to aluminum nor would it be strong enough.
Mr Frank good to know.
If it wasn’t strong enough and didn’t work I doubt he would be still repairing wheels like this ..he knows what works
The speeds in these countries don't exceed 40 miles per hour

Probably not the first or last time this shop has fixed this rim .
Hopefully, he brazed it with the same alloy that was used to make the wheel, and stress relieved it before machining... or may be the almighty bestow some grace on the unsuspecting buyer. I wouldn't advise this.
Life is cheap in this part of the world. Nobody will do a thing if that rim flies apart
