“The preservation of the American man has never been more important.” Amen, brother. And you are a shining example. Good luck with your family and God Bless.
I served with this man. As good of guy as this shows
That’s crazy impressive!! Really cool to hear how Drew found the sport, thank you for sharing!!!
A Free Range American. Beautiful Sorrel mare. She loves her job. I love riding and shooting it really does scratch an itch deep down. I practice on the mesa with my black powder cap n ball revolvers. One day I'm going to take this up. Seeing men like Drew really inspire me to get out and do it. Right now, my family ropes, so there's really no time left for another event, but all our roping horses are gun broke simply because I love to shoot. So fun! Awesome video. Long live the cowboy culture. Thanks for sharing!
Yes, my uncle shot a gun off the back of his horse, however, it didn't go well... The poor horse was spooked & he was dumped! It's not easy to train the horse or the rider!
It’s not too hard. Easier if the horse is raised around shooting and has a good rider.
@@JP_Patriot We were farm kids in the middle of the Mountains. We weren't Ranchers. However, we hunted a lot as we all loved Venison, but this day, he was showing off.. it didn't go well for him. Thankfully the horses were ok.
@@dragonslayer7587 I was raised on the outskirts of Nashville. I’ve ridden horses plenty. If your horse isn’t used to gunshots then it probably won’t end up well at all lol. Venison is awesome. Did he die from getting bucked or somethin?
They also put ear plugs in the horse as well
Thanks for sharing how you turned a struggle into a passion and a purpose.
This dude is salt of the earth. From a fellow vet thank you!
Drew, thanks for your service. The Rangers look badass.
Love it. That was something I always wanted to do. Just never took the time. Glad you did.
Way to go Drew! Proud of you buddy!!
You love horses and you mush like guns. Great combination. And by the looks of it your having fun. All to you. 👍
LOOKS LIKE FUN. HOPE THE HORSE DONT GO DEAF!!!!
Earplugs. You can see one hanging from the bridle close to the end of the video.
We use earplugs
Thank you!❤❤❤
Holly shit !!! God bless America 🇺🇸 🇺🇸🇺🇸
As a Mexican American woman I would love to learn and train for this sport. It would teach me so much about both of my cultured from the western cowboy point of view. Which is what I feel so connected too.
Horses are cheaper and more effective than therapy. Personal experience.
Absolutely!
I was introduced to this at a fair years ago. A group in New Boston NH. I will not rest until I participate... Thank you. Drew. Your passion is Felt. Thank you Mike. These are the things that make men great. Iron sharpens iron
Bay state Bandits has a clinic in November
Great story and video. Thanks for sharing
Great video thank you for you're honesty, life is not a straight line there will always be high's and lows. Its what you do to over come and persevere that shows your true strength, respect from down under mate.
Well, thank you for your service. I felt the same way... Joined in '04, was in the box the first time in '05, and had a similar story to yours. I'm glad you found something that you can focus on and build your life around. I fell into the same lows you did with drugs and alcohol... I was self-medicating. Looking back I believe the government, the armed forces, and the VA all need to do a MUCH BETTER job of getting soldiers (especially combat Veterans) dialed back into the civilian world and get them ALL the help they need and EXPLAIN in great detail ALL the resources available. Guys like you and I gave it our all, so why doesn't the government, VA, ARMY, etc. do the same? I hit the "low" you spoke of and crawled back out with the help of my wife and family. I was ready to end it all more than once because I saw zero solutions to my problems. I eventually found something I really enjoy and started a business around it and am doing quite well now. I work alone and keep to myself and live way out in the country. Looks like a blast riding and shooting in those competitions. My family had horses growing up and I rode all the time. Never fired a firearm while riding though. I keep thinking it's blowing out the ears on the horse. I'm curious how, if at all, it affects the horse's hearing? I know nothing about this sport. I see the muzzle flash from the pistol as a huge cone of fire lol. Are you shooting cartridges with no projectile and that's why it fans out like that? Or some kind of low-pressure shot or sand load that would be non-lethal? Pretty cool bud. I'm glad you're happy now. That's ALL life is about... the time we spend with the people we love and the drive to find happiness in the time we have left.
You know there's one sure fire way to find out the answer to those questions lol
@@ws8061 Are you suggesting I go do this... to find out the answers? Would love to but I can't ride anymore... or do many things for that matter. I'm a disabled Veteran. Serious back, knee, arm, wrist, and head injuries in Iraq all at the same time, let me pretty busted up. I move very slowly. Anyhow... still curious about the sport... that's why I asked.
Blanks.
@@Scott-qq9jd Got it. Cool.
Ear plugs in horse to
Your amazing thank you for the the sacrifices that you made for your country and for your freedom and for the ones that didn't make it home
Very cool but how do we incorporate calvary sabers??
Epic. Great work!
Awesome story, thanks for sharing it!

Richard Warren passenger of the Mayflower received a portion of livestock on his 2 acres. Makes him America's first 🤠.

I went in the Army in 2000, I was a Cavalry Scout... This is right up my alley, too bad I can't do it, not allowed as I am waiting on having brain surgery. ER we meet upon the Fiddlers Green, Scouts Out!
This is Fn sick!
That's awesome.
Man, thats cool!
Modern cowboy 🤠 et cowgirl! Horses galloping speed and draws.
Great aim!
Thanks for sharing your story Drew... looks like an amazing sport.. quick question is there training for this sport in North Carolina?
this is badass af.
How much more fun could it get than runnin and gunnin horseback
HONEY, THE ANGER WAS DIRECTED EXACTLY WHERE THEY WANTED IT TO GO!
Guns and horses. I rode as a kid. Then life took me elsewhere but I never lost the love. I believe there is purpose for everything. I got out when they wouldn't let me become a medic. I went to school to become an EMT, then a Paramedic, and finally as a nurse. Looking back its funny; when I first got out I wanted to buy a couple of horses and slip off into the Rocky Mountains and loose myself. Oh; that's right, Rangers never get lost. You and I may not have run parallel courses but from what I've seen it was close. RLTW
That’s badass
That's so bad ass
very cool. I always thought they should have a more "realistic" secton of that sport. moving targets at range and real bullets. a more cavalry feel. maybe some saber style blade options.
This is CONTENT
Fantastic from India have a horse to
Very interesting sport and have always wondered about it. So im guessing they're using blanks? Or some kind of cartridge that sparks into the balloon?
Mounted shooting uses black powder theatrical blanks with no bullet. Companies such as Western Stage Props, Buffalo Blanks, Circle E Blanks, Lonesome Pine, and Whitehouse Blanks manufacture certified ammunition for competition. These blanks were originally used in movie production and on the theatrical stage so that flame and smoke can be seen from the muzzle of the firearm. A slow-burning powder component of the blank can break a balloon target at a range of up to 20 feet (6 m).[4]
Yep, blanks. Some loaded with corn meal to blast the target.
Where can I watch this show?
Fat chaw in and Bustin targets horseback, GETCHUSUM!
This is awesome 😎 I would hate to be that horses 🐎 ears 👂 though 😂
The horse is wearing earplugs
@@JohnnyD6254 awesome didn’t know they made horse earplugs but that makes sense!
@@JordanJimmyDavison tampons work too
I think it's important to learn how to ride by just Holding on to the horses mane first.
2:32 bat masterson ?
So what kinda rounds are they using looks like he's shooting in different directions so how's that work exactly?
Blanks.
Who’s single action 6 shooter is that ?
Good video, and great shooting, but I feel sorry for the horse that he doesnt have ear protection but you do.....
I’ve always wondered, does the horse have ear plugs?
Love to learn this skill! Thank You for sharing Ooorrrrraaaa
We won the west this way. It wasn’t easy then, either. This was the ends , for all those means. When the men are gone , there will always be horses.Because we always need something, more….and this is more ⚔️😎
If you don't have a horse check out Cowboy Action Shooting 🤠
Looks expensive
That can't be good for the horses ears (I wanna do this)
the horse is deaf lol
Actually you stuff with earplugs.
Free Range.
Anybody who isn't impressed by this doesn't know what it means to challenge themselves
RAD
Okay question, is it really safe for people to be outside the arena watching while you're shooting guns at stuff? Lol
They're using blanks. The concussion is enough to pop the balloons, and the crowd is far enough for it to be safe.
RLTW
Not to sound odd, but shouldn't it be " Horse mounted shooter " ? Aint nobody tryna mount cowboys
I accidentally disliked this… it was an accident
Drew Vanhorn died in the US Army Rangers and Lance Harlan Vanhorn started microchipping people at the border in San Diego, but now stays at 45450 foxton ave, Lancaster, CA. Charles Raymond Jones didn’t do gay stuff with Philip Collier, but what did the IDOC Officer Jones at Westville Correction Facility do with California Officer Charles Raymond Jones? Agent Gridler of Lancaster Sheriff’s department warned about neighbors across the street. Kevin/Kenneth Collins does the real estate, but he didn’t molest Native Americans or ashkenazic Jews, but who is he connected too? They said Hans Johnson was the symbol of Richard Ramirez, but who is Lance Harlan Vanhorn? Patricia or Harlan Gale Vanhorn don’t know what to say, but he’s not the same person as the picture on the wall. Just because you were once an Army Ranger, doesn’t mean you will always have the character of an Army Ranger.
