I don't understand this taxation on lottery in the US, yeah it's ridiculous, literally a robbery. Maybe the worse part is to have to choose between a lump sum, makes no sense lol, the prize should be integral, accordingly to the amount that is being offered. You win you take it home.

The American government are greedy bastards. Even $17.2m to $5.7m, is insane. it's false advertising to tell people they'll win $100m only for them to end up with less than half when they win. They should just advertise the jackpot amount after tax

The lump sum the Bentley chose was $8.6 million which at the time after taxes when federal tax were 25% instead of 24%. After taxes they got $5,762,000

The truck driver man and his dispatcher wife spent their money ridiculously. Such a waste in my opinion. ( But they are not the only ones )I see that a lot of these winners waste their money on fancy cars and so called toys and huge houses. I hope that the lady loosing more weight that she can …………and be happier and healthier and enjoy her life with her husband . I am very happy for the winners they all seem like nice people.
