This film is so breathtaking and some of the best (if not the best) aerial cinematography in history. The regular scenes are exquisitely shot as well and I wouldn't expect anything less - it's Claudio and he is a master. Congrats to Claudio, Joseph, and the entire crew. I am absolutely shocked he didn't get an Oscar nomination. It is a damn shame. #ClaudioGotRobbed
This was the biggest snub at the Academy for cinematography. Freaking baffling!
I've always loved the theater experience, but I didn't realize how fiercely protective I was of it until the pandemic. I'm pretty sure I was as pissed as the filmmakers when WB decided to stream their whole slate (even Dune for christ's sake!). Glad Joseph and co were able to keep Top Gun in the theater where it should have always been, and the audience proved them right.
