Yeah it is, as far as I know. I'm not an electrician, but when I had an electrician doing some work he referred to the MICC cable as 'pyro'

Use a proper electricians stripping knife lol not a Stanley knife ..otherwise good video for learners

Its not magnesium... Also never grab the stripped copper sheath by hand, its lethal...
